From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes the final sexy standalone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans.I used to believe there were lines in life you don’t cross.Don’t lie. Don’t cheat. Don’t steal.Until I learned people don’t always practice what they preach.I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything. Then I got the call no one wants, and I’m back in New Orleans.… one wants, and I’m back in New Orleans.
What I don’t expect is for her to be here too.
Another line you don’t cross?
Don’t touch your best friend’s little sister.
She’s always been off-limits.
Too bad I don’t follow the rules anymore.

Had me totally hooked and I had to keep buying the other books just to find out how the other characters were developing.
Love all her books.
The struggle is so real…….I have been contemplating how to best express my emotions to write this review and I keep coming up empty! How do you even begin to explain what a great read this book was? The words that keep replaying in my head when I think of Beneath the Truth……..Epic, Amazing, Outstanding, Phenomenal, just to name a few. I have loved this series from the beginning and this final book is no exception; in fact, I think I fell more in love with this series because of this book. How is that possible?! I absolutely tried to savor every word of this read but let’s be real…..I just couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with Rhett and Ari so hard I didn’t want this book to end but the epilogue…. at that point there was no holding back the tears knowing it was truly coming to THE END! Definitely worth the read and worthy of more than a five star rating! Meghan March you are truly an amazing story teller and your words are pure magic! Thank you for following your dreams because you give us readers some amazing journeys!
“Loyalty. Respect. Honor. Those were qualities Rhett had in spades, and without those, he wouldn’t have been the man I’d been wanting in my life for so long.”
“What would it be like to be with a man who prized his principles as highly as he prized his woman?”
Right there. This is the precise moment I was 100% invested in this book. I completely & irrevocably NEEDED Ariel to get her man! My heart almost broke with all the feeling I absorbed in that statement. What would that be like? What would it be like to have a man that PRIZED you as his woman? [spoiler alert: I wouldn’t know] So, at this very moment, I almost didn’t even care about the end to the series … I just wanted Ariel to have a full heart.
But this story kept up the tradition of the rest of the Beneath Series. I always wondered about Rhett — his story, his family, why he was made some of the choices he did, and mostly how he ended up in his situation. I always admired Rhett, even when I didn’t agree with him, and finally getting let into his head was what I’d been waiting for. The twists and turns in this installment of the series, whew! There were far more people involved than I would’ve believed and Meghan made some choices I definitely DID NOT see coming.
Overall, I think this was a good end to the series. I felt like I wanted a little more, but that was also because I have come to love this crew and I never wanted the series to end. I’m really excited that Meghan will be going back to New Orleans, soon, and I’ll possibly get to be right back where I belong.
If you haven’t given this series a try, although this is technically a standalone, since it comes at the end of a series I’d suggest [mostly because I LOVE all of them] to check out the rest of the series, along with this one. And keep an eye out for her upcoming releases
