I usually finish one book and dive right into another. But I can’t. Not this time. This book is still rolling around in my head and heart. It is haunting, but in the most reassuring way. I need time for it all to absorb. Thankfully, the author’s epilogue helped to quiet the “and then what?” questions with a surreal peace. As a note to the author, I’m glad I didn’t read the book’s description before I read the book. It would have spoiled it by revealing the twists and turns.
This is a powerful book of love and sacrifice. It truly reminded me that the real story in life is not about ME – my happiness in the here and now, but about God’s Story and the true meaning of sacrificial LOVE and its significance in a person’s eternal life. And, no matter how tragic this life’s circumstances are, for those who love God all things really do work together for good.
I finished this book some time ago, but the characters and they incredibly difficult situations they faced are still with me.
Wonderful story, tragic. Didn’t know how it would end.
Out of all the books you mentioned, this was the best.
A+ read.
Raney is an excellent author. Enjoyed this book .
I liked it very much. I have read a couple of her books and they all have been good.
A book that was well writhen and had Mr looking at my life sacrifice for the Lord
I saw the struggles of missionaries – the same struggles I face.
Thought provoking!
Maybe my favorite book this year. The story wasn’t figured out in the first two chapters. Couldn’t wait to get back to it. It kept my interest right through the last chapter.
Very sad but. We don”t what God has seen for our life. This book has a realic ending. Not a book to read if having a down day.
The challenge of this book is strong.
I thought this book was exceptionally good, and would highly recommend it. I’ve never read another book that had a similar plot. I found myself caring for the individuals in the story, realizing that similar situations could occur in real life.
This book was one of the best I have read recently. I really couldn’t put it down. Had a great moral message as well as being entertaining.
Great. Shows us to pray when we need answers . We don’t always know the best way to go. Forgiveness and unselfishness are to be cultivated more.
Wonderfully thought-provoking
Outstanding Christian novel. Best I have read in some time. Not cheesy at all. Inspiring.
