I enjoyed reading this book. It kept my interest and the writing was clean. It depicted true, selfless love while not being sappy. I would recommend it
Was very good but sad in parts too
Very unexpected twists and turns. Being obedient to God’s voice and waiting on Him are key elements in this novel.
If you’re a sensitive reader, skip this book. I cried after finishing the book. And now 2 days later, still am struggling over it. It definitely pulled me in and is well written.
It held my interest all through the book awesomely written.
There was a tangled web in this fascinating story. The characters were believable and faced considerable challenges. When a missionary in South America learned her husband had been killed in a fire, she headed back to the U.S. She assimilated to her new community and she was doing well until she got news that her missionary husband was alive. I’ll give no more info. It’s a great story that was totally plausible. Read it to find out for yourself!
Too slow for me. Characters are not very engaging.
I am a Deborah Raney fan, but I did not care for the plot of this book. She puts her characters in an impossible situation and the ending was not satisfactory to me. If you are looking for a Raney book to read, I would suggest you chose a different one.
This book will stay a part of me a long time. The author puts you into the lives of her characters! You love with them, you agonize with them. It is a powerful story of unselfish, sacrificial love.
Good
It is one of the best books I have read. So inspiring.. I cried. You need tissues.
I haven’t read a book this good in months! I read the 2 book also and LOVE this author.
very well-written, a page-turner, but not the ending I hoped for…sad.
There were none of the more recent ‘boiler-plates’ used and most particularly it was free of all the four litter words and all their derivatives. It was good to be able rest into the reading of the story.
I enjoyed the story but was also perplexed as to what one should do in this type of situation.
Characters you want to cheer for, faithful without being preachy.
I cried all afternoon reading this. What a mess to find yourself in. It worked out wonderfully though. Anyone who wants a good read should check this one out.
It was a great book and quick read.
I really enjoyed this book as it wasn’t the traditional love story. The decision facing the characters was difficult and you could not foresee the ending.
Loved this heart warming story
