A vendetta can change everything … for good. That is, if no one finds out the truth.
But everything gets trickier when people who shouldn’t be together, start to fall hard. And no one is more dangerous than a Guzzi in love.
The lies between them, though?
Well, they might ruin it all.
Note: Bene is a standalone within The Guzzi Legacy and can be read as such.

Bene was absolutely delicious!! After reading Beni, I knew that his identical twin was having a problem with finding his own identity. I couldn’t wait to dive in and find out how Bene would navigate his independence. Bethany-Kris didn’t disappoint! Bene’s story was painful, real, and his transition seemed authentic. I couldn’t get enough of him, his inner thoughts, his pure motivations, and his dirty mouth. Who can resist a man who not only knows when he’s in the wrong, but actually wants to fix it?
And then there was Vanna Falco. She was holding a grudge in her heart, a score to settle that wasn’t even hers. She grew up under her father in the camorra, hearing a warped version of a sad tale. All she knew was that the Guzzis had it all and she was determined to take it from them. She never factored in what going through with it would do to her. Meeting and getting her in through Bene was all part of her plan, however, she didn’t anticipate the man taking her over or owning her heart. I loved how the author made her into a sneaky little back-stabbing liar, forced her to face her mistakes, and made Bene’s reactions and actions realistic for each circumstance.
While I didn’t like Vanna, I adored Bene and I think that was what I was supposed to get from the writing. As always, this story was extremely hot, it was really family before everything, and the love wasn’t easy but it was perfect for the characters. I loved watching Bene’s journey from being broken and catching a glimpse of who he’ll become. I’ll definitely be staying tuned for the next Legacy book, which will be Marcus’s. As the oldest brother, the eldest son, he’s had to look out for everyone and I can’t wait to see him finally have his own much-deserved happiness.
Bene Guzzi is lost and angry. His twin has found love and is starting a new life without him. Bene has never known life without Beni and doesn’t understand what all the hype about falling in love is. That is until a beautiful woman catches his attention at his neighborhood bar. She’s intriguing and alluring. He will easily fall under her spell. She makes him want a different life than the one he is living right now. He knows he needs to straighten up and focus on his future, but there’s this woman who is tempting him with feeling he never knew existed.
Vanna Falcon has only known the story her father has told her about her life and the vendetta they must fulfill. The Guzzi’s took from them and now she has a mission to complete. The problem is, she isn’t sure she can follow through after she begins to spend time with Bene Guzzi. He’s handsome, tempting and doesn’t want to change her.
There is so much going on in their story. There’s drama, vengeance, suspense, and danger. There’s also hope, love and forgiveness. The Guzzi’s are a tight family and there’s a reason they don’t take to strangers, but when they finally see Bene changing for the better, they might make an exception. But allowing Vanna to come into their lives, might be the most dangerous mistake they have ever made.
This series just gets better and better. I strongly recommend that your read them in order and enjoy each one. You forget how powerful and dangerous this family is and start to see the protective and loving family this author wants us to embrace.

Revenge and love don’t mix…
Bene and Vanna came together in an act of revenge. Lies and hate were quickly muddied when love knocked at the most inconvenient time.
My stomach did flop flops through this entire read! The Guzzi’s were a loving family but they also were a family you did not cross. They protected their own with a fierceness you knew if you have read any of the previous stories. Family was the heart of this romance, and there was more than one view on what truth really was…
This author knows how to write heart-punching stories and this one was, thankfully, more of the same. I got lost in this revenge-fueled story that had love and family at its core. I worried about Bene finding his way but I shouldn’t have. He and Vanna forged their own path and it was amazing…

The last installment of the Guzzi twins is here, and it was all worth the wait. I first had a glimpse of Bene in his twin brother’s book. And I must admit, his broody and angsty attitude made me very intrigued about his story. All I can say is that it totally did not disappoint.
Bene and Vanna together are one hot combustible duo that will totally get you hooked until the very end. As per usual, Bethany-Kris wrote another great world-building novel that I can’t help but stay positively entranced.
I loved how she portrayed Bene’s identity crisis from setting himself apart from his twin brother’s identity. Bene’s search for unraveling his own identity and independence was so real and raw. I couldn’t help but root for him as he rose past his mistakes.
And I couldn’t get enough of Vanna either. Her story was one interwoven from a bitter feud of the past. That bitter family animosity has long been past to her. I was enthralled by the way she started to fall in love with Bene. Her motivations might have been based on lies and deceit but you can totally see that the love was real.
Vanna is the kind of complex character that you will just love and hate at the same time. Falling in love with the enemy has never been so bittersweet. And this book totally nailed it.
I cannot wait to read about the last book in the Guzzi legacy series. Marcus is up next!
I knew, after having read Beni, that Bene was going to have an even more amazing story than his twin, and I was so right, because Bene is just, seriously. I’m not sure I have the exact word for his story except maybe “perfect.” Yep, Bene is perfect and so is his story.
After the events in Beni, Bene is adrift and searching for his identity apart from his twin. Then he meets an angel with darkness in her heart. She’s got an agenda that has the potential to break his whole world apart. And when Bene finds out? When THE GUZZIS find out who she is exactly, and what she’s been up to? Let’s just say, I wouldn’t have traded places with her for all the money in the world.
“Still, we remain together, or we fight and tear each other apart on our way down, yes?”
But in true Bethany fashion, things ended perfectly appropriately. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t fun or anywhere near light-hearted. But it was I think Bethany’s finest writing to date. I absolutely LOVE Bene and the way his story played out. Vanna? Hmm…not my favorite heroine in the Bethany’s Mafia worlds, but she’s perfect for Bene, and he’s madly in love with her, so she gets a pass.
Bene, Vanna, and crew made my month with their story and I am putting them on my forever favorites list, right now.
Bene is lost and finding his own identity from his twin brother. Vana is holding a grudge left over from her father. She isn’t what she seems and Bene will show her the error of her ways. The sexual chemistry is off the charts and the pair didn’t expect love to enter the situation. Now what will they do to prevent sure disaster? A good read, now bring on Marcus the oldest brother who looks after everyone else. Time for him to get his story.
5 STARS
Bene, is the final book for the Guzzi Twins in The Guzzi Legacy Series. It’s another EPIC read from author Bethany-Kris. She is a mastermind of creating amazing characters and storylines that interconnect, and she weaves a tale that captures your attention from beginning to end. In this book, Vanna felt the need to pursue a vendetta that she inherited upon her father’s death, unbeknownst to Bene and the rest of the Guzzi Family. Despite their relationship commencing with this between them, they become what the other needs. And, Bene and Vanna’s chemistry is scorching hot! Experiencing their journey through BK’s words is sooo worth it!
I can’t stress enough, the need to read this series and this book; I highly recommend it! Bene by Bethany-Kris will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
4.5 stars
I am always mesmerized by this author and her ability to create characters, amidst a family, that stands out compared to authors in this sub-genre. This series, in particular, has kept my rapt attention (not dismissing the actual story that started them all with the parents, Gian and Cara since without them there wouldn’t be these kids). Every character has been distinctly different yet still had the same devotion, dedication, and love towards their family. Each brother is different, even both sets of twins that had a mirrored version of themselves still were different. I was worried after the first book what this meant for Bene considering he has had a hard time trying to find his place.
In the beginning, I wondered if Vanna was the woman for him until the pieces finally fell into place. She was seeking retribution and following a vendetta that was brainwashed into her very person. I hated that anything would or could possibly put Gian and the others in peril. However, as her actions started changing so did my opinion on her. Wouldn’t the entire Guzzi family also follow through on a vendetta, as per the way in Cosa Nostra, to avenge their family? It is the actions at the end that determine whether they deserve it or not, and in this case, she deserved the chance to be loved and to show love.
My only complaint with the book and this is because I am greedy, is that it ended with a HFN for now. I wanted to see how Bene and Vanna went about showing that they could earn that trust back. Especially, in light of where they were at in their life and knowing what a rough road it would be to persuade Marcus that all would be right. Speaking of Marcus, I need that man’s story badly. Considering that he has always been such a fixer and protector, as well as the only one without a wombmate, I want to see who protects him and helps balance and love him so that he isn’t alone.
How can Bethany Kris continue to give her readers such unique stories with high action and crazy love stories! Bene might be one of Bethany-Kris’s hottest, sexiest books she’s ever written. Bene and Vanna have a chemistry that is rocket hot. Bene is so sweet. Once we get past his abandonment issues and the darkness from his twin. I don’t even want to say a lot about this storyline.
Kris was at her creative best and made two people who brought out the best in each other… that is how it should be, after all! Really, I am just beyond tickled at the ability shown by Bethany Kris. Not only has she created something special with such a story but she is able to create something crazy real and honest-feeling. Let me add in that there was also a lightness between Bene and Vanna plus, they bantered back and forth and seemed to really like each other.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
These Guzzi brothers are so very addicting. One by one, they steal your heart. Bethany Kris weaves addicting standalones based on the 5 sons of Cara and Gian Guzzi. Bene’s story is filled passion, desire, vengeance, healing, and love.
Bene Guzzi just needs to find a distraction, something to make him feel right again. While he doesn’t know what he needs, Vanna Falco seems to be the fix. They have an ease and a sexual attraction that is hot and at the same time comforting. As easy as a distraction should be, when there are ulterior motives, everything becomes very complicated. And when Bene’s family is caught up in his distraction, Bene must find out who Vanna Falco really is. She has a whole other life that has expectations. She knows she should abide, but Bene, her vendetta, and her lack of freedom all begin to mix together in ways that make her question her life and what she wants.
When you mess with the Guzzi Family, be prepared that everyone comes together. I LOVED that part of the story had all 5 brothers home. It was filled with contention, fear and hate. But family always sticks together through thick and thin and more so when an outsider threatens to disrupt it all. Bene and Vanna must face the family and the consequence that threatens their love and their life together.
4 brothers down and one is left. I can’t wait for the last and oldest brother to find his love.
4.5 Vendetta Stars!
Each Guzzi man is different but similar in the way of their loyalty and devotion to their family. These men can be intense but they’re easy to fall in love with. Bene and Beni’s looks may be identical but they are very much different in personality. My heart broke for Bene and Vanna and they make it hard for you to not root for them.
Bene had love, vendetta and redemption. I NEED more Guzzis! Looking forward to Marcus but not the end of this series :*(
OMG!!! OMG!!! Sexy, amazing twin Beni,Bene, was soo delicious. Combined with Vana their duet was an explosion of emotions.
Bethany-Kris brings us the final Guzzi Twin’s book, Bene. He is by far the most unpredictable Guzzi boy and I loved every minute. Bene and Vanna’s chemistry was wicked hot and I couldn’t get enough. You will be in the feels as you follow their journey to their hea. The lust, pain, betrayal and love will have you on the edge of seat. Watching the youngest Guzzi twin will have you swooning as he dirty talks to Vanna. All in all this was a phenomenal book as always Bethany-Kris does not disappoint. Must read!!
The Detti clan believed her father went against them, she was just a girl that couldn’t hurt them, but she was just a girl that was raised in their way, she was still a Camorra , an eye for an eye was bred into her. Mario still wanted her, by her side waiting, but he didn’t even know the promise she made her father, never to forget the vendetta, Guzzi’s.
Beni and his twin were identical in every way, although now they were in two different places and Bene has to find his own way, although drinking became a distraction, until his family had enough and Marcus let him know he was his next pet project and he was going to make sure he got on track again.
Deciding that he would start tomorrow fresh, he moved to the bar to watch the Toronto Hitters, listening to the exchange of patrons he didn’t know how he had missed the woman that looked like an angel. Hearing her name, Vanna Falco, no bells rang, and their connection was instant.
Meeting Bene, she wasn’t expecting her bodies reaction to him or how she would feel. But the lines start to blur to quickly, she had to ruin him and his family, but everything was starting to blur, the vendetta, what the family wanted of her and her feelings for Bene, what happens when she falls in love with who she was meant to hate, and her family has plans that don’t involve him.
But the one thing she didn’t know was when a Guzzi man falls nothing will stop him from keeping what is his.
This is the 5th book in this phenomenal series, and is Bene and Vanna’s turn. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, as well as being heartbreaking, passionate, and with sizzling chemistry, secrets, lies, vengeance, healing, and love which all lead to a captivating and addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all readers, and look forward to reading more from this gifted author.
Loved this Book! 5+Stars…
Love these Guzzi men! They are tough when they need to be, compassionate when they want to be and love like no other! Bene Guzzi, twin to Beni, has fallen for Vanna Falco who isn’t who she pretends to be. She has lots of secrets and when they come out, it creates pandemonium that causes rifts through-out the Guzzi family. It’s a page-turner that kept me on the edge wondering how it would end. Read it today!
This book felt like it fit along the same lines as this author’s The Chicago War series. In fact, it has origins from that particular storyline, my fellow mafia romance book loving friends. Since I especially loved all those books, that was a very nice surprise indeed and a compliment, as well.
My favorite part was Bene immediately finding it very beneficial to fall for this leading lady love. Yeah, he fell in a big way, and, wow, did he ever need to. Kudos for his love for Vanna finally pulling him off the path of self destruction and on the road to love and happiness. However, he eventually found out a huge secret Vanna had been hiding that put their relationship on the ropes.
Hence, the relationship drama and angst. Vanna was very determined to carry out a misplaced mission her deceased mobster father planted in her head. Thankfully, her conscience speaks for itself, but not before dire consequences get unleashed. Between you and me, I actually wish she had not jumped in the sack with him right after meeting him at the bar. I felt that set-up downgraded her character/mission. After all, she had a big beef with this family. They and him were an enemy in her heart and mind. I’d think the very sight of him would made her want to claw his eyes out not crawl between the smexy sheets with him, good looking or not. I wanted her to make him work for it, if you know what I mean. It was a door for their instant attraction/chemistry to lead to some very detailed, graphic smex scenes, of course, which is something this author is well known for.
I can’t begin to express how excited I am to know Marcus, the older brother, will soon get his story told. I do so love an alpha mobster future don brought to his knees by love.
Title: Bene, Series: Guzzi Legacy (Book 5), Author: Bethany-Kris, Pages: 988 KB, stand-alone but part of a series, mafia hero, conflicted heroine, lots of VERY graphic smex scenes, HEA, OM wants her/causes trouble, no OW drama, relationship angst.
