(Book 1 of 2 in the Belonging Duet)Enough. That single word is all I’ve ever wanted to be. Enough for someone to stay for. Enough for someone to love and cherish, but I’ve been burned every time.Except at my job.I thrive there. In my office, I have the ability to fix things and command situations.Until my new client walks in.It shouldn’t matter that he fills out a suit better than any man I’ve … fills out a suit better than any man I’ve ever seen. His dimples and blue-green eyes shouldn’t call to me on every level. I know men like him and they’re dangerous to trust.
But Jackson Cole is irresistible.
The pain of the past disappears when he’s around. With him, I’m more than enough, and I break every rule about dating a client.
I fall desperately in love with him—only to realize I should’ve trusted my instincts because I’m no one’s beloved …

Just too much dark drama and cliffhanger
Didn’t like the use of the “F” word so much.
NOT MUCH i AM NOT A FAN OF WHAT I MIGHT CALL FORBIDDEN WORDS AND THERE ARE A LOT IN THIS BOOK. I ALMOST PUT IT ASIDE AND NOT READ IT, BUT I FINALLY DECIDED TO FINISH IT. DO NOT RECOMMEND, BUT YOU NEED TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.
This was an excellent read.
Was a wonderful book couldnt put it down!! After finishing it i just had to buy the rest of the series!
hate when leaves u hangin
Kudos! Excellent read Bought second book. Loved the interactions. Very comical at times. Very sexy!
I have no idea why I held on to this book for so long without reading it because it was an enjoyable read. Jackson will sweep you off your feet. Catherine’s character was a little annoying with the insecurities, but I guess after everything she had to deal with it’s understandable and I loved her roommate and best friend Ash. Ash was definitely a …
Utterly haunting. Morrison’s descriptions of the physical and emotional horrors of slavery are unlike any others I’ve read, touching the souls of the characters and reaching into the soul of the reader. This is not a straightforward tale — it is more about images and feelings and impressions than about actions. Stunning.
I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t particularly like this book. That being said I don’t believe that Beloved is intended to be “liked” by its readers, at least not in the traditional way. Instead, the author, Toni Morrison, seems to aiming to make us ponder. About life, about slavery, about womanhood, and mothers, religion, and death.
I …
This amazing ghost story by Toni Morrison haunts. It touches on the horrors of slavery, the lasting harm of imprisonment, and the freedom that even frustrates death. Why do I say only “touches on slavery” when the story’s main characters are escaped slaves pursued almost two decades after they arrived in a free state? Because there are so many …
The great American Nobel Prize-winning ghost story to end all ghosts stories. It’s beautiful, profound and harrowing. It does not leave you in despair but deeply grateful that such brilliant storytelling can come out of such an evil history as that of slavery. Read it. You’ll not be able to put it down.
this is in my top ten books. It broke my heart. Toni Morrison makes me happy.
Morrison’s best. Haunting, scary, and very sad.

I’m a bit late to the game, but for anyone holding out on Toni Morrison please know that this is a grave, grave error that I recommend fixing as soon as possible. This book absolutely floored me
Beautiful and painful and so moving. A must read but be prepared for soul deep sorrow and a helpless feeling that stays with you
This book introduced me to descriptive writing. Mrs. Morrison folds dialect, language, and accent into the page with her wording. And the story speaks to history, spirituality, struggles, and sacrifice. Another must-read from Mrs. Toni Morrison.
This title turns up on some banned books lists, though nothing about it is morally offensive. On the contrary, it’s a moral act to write books about the very worst atrocities that have occurred in America, some of which resulted directly from one group of people enslaving another. It definitely is a book about a mother killing her own child, but …
Beloved by Toni Morrison is the best book I have ever read in my life. Reading Morrison’s books, makes me love language.
