I loved this story about unwilling neighbors coping with nieces, nephews, and a bunch of unruly pets! Expect some laugh-out-loud moments as well as clean and tender romance in this lovely addition to the Chapel Cove series.
Belong with Me is an amazing and beautiful addition to the Chapel Cove series. Gina, Cassidy’s niece, and Trent and Brynn, Jonathan’s nephews, as well as all of the pets-were SO MUCH FUN! I related altogether too well with Cassidy feeling that she isn’t enough, even though she is a fascinating and brilliant character. Her AH HAH! moment of realizing that she worthy because she was exactly exactly as God made her to be truly spoke to my heart! It was a pleasure watching Cassidy and Jonathan fall in love. This is a lovely, and enjoyable sweet romance-and a whole lot of fun!
Alexa Verde has created a Sensitive, Engrossing, Masterpiece about Self Worth, in “Belong with Me”. This is fortysomething Cassidy & Jonathan’s inspiring Chapel Cove Romance Story.
AV asks these questions: “Why do we base our opinions about ourselves, based on what other people think about us? Why do we want to “be liked” by other people, so that, we forget to like ourselves, or to value what God gives us?”
Both Jonathan & Cassidy have suffered heartbreaking past relationships, & have trust issues. Yet, “we all want to be loved & appreciated. We want “to belong”, so much, we do crazy things for it.”
I identified with Cassidy’s introverted personality, & her self worth struggles. I Highly Recommend you too take Cassidy & Jonathan’s journey, to Trust their Forever ! You’ll also learn to Cassidy’s niece, & Jonathan’s nephews.
Remember, “God created you, the way you are, for a reason.”

A Clean, sweet, faith-filled, small town romance, where life begins at forty. Was drawn in at the start and was not disappointed. This is Cassidy and Jonathan’s story. Both have been dealt with blows in the love department. A love story about third chances at love. Love the story along with the dog, cat, hamster, and fish. This is a heartfelt love story.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book . All opinions are my own.
Can two people who have each been dealt awful blows in the love department, overcome the pain and deal with each other? Well written. Excellent love story. Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.
A really good book about two people who struggle with rejection from people they loved.
Cassidy meets the neighbor next door, Jonathan, and feels an attraction to him, but tries to forget it. Jonathan notices similar feelings, but does the same, but both keep getting together, and try to help each other out. This is such a heartfelt book, and I was pulled into their stories! One of Alexa Verde’s best books, and I’m sure I will read it again, at some point! I certainly recommend it!
Great book!! I loved reading Cassidy and Jonathan’s story! Throw in two boys, a girl, and pets, and look out!!! Love that they finally got together, with a lot of help along the way!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
We all want to belong, whether it’s to a place or person, that longing to be a part is often overwhelming. It might make us do things we might not really feel right about doing. We make choices that can change our lives and direction. Of course, sometimes it’s good, but often it’s more harmful.
In this Chapel Cove story, we get to meet Cassidy and Jonathan. Both have pasts and choices that they are battling with. They are thrown into a situation and are trying to just survive.
I loved how the author, Alexa Verde, shares the frustrations of self-esteem, that Cassidy deals with. It’s what many of us deal with daily. There is a sweet quote in this book that I think I need to remember on a regular basis.
“Why do we base our opinions about ourselves on what other people think about us? Why do we want to be liked by other people so much we forget to like ourselves, to value what God gave us?”
Those are powerful words that we need to shout from the rooftops! So many people now days need to hear this! This book had some very touching parts, and yet it also had fun cute parts with wonderful characters. I especially loved the critters parts!
I highly recommend you pick this book up, also look for the next book in this series. If you love the coast and Oregon, and you enjoy reading about finding love after forty then this is the series for you!
I was given this book by the author which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Belong with Me:
Chapel Cove Romance from Alexa Verde
Jonathan and Cassidy accidentally become neighbors when they look after their nephews and niece. Both Jonathan and Cassidy are very disappointed in love verry insecure and afraid to get hurt again. But as always, opposites attract each other. It is a Christian written book and it is written with a good dose of humor, although sad things also happen in it. Fortunately, God has already prepared a great plan, but can they learn to trust God enough to take the big step? Enjoyed the book.
A truly heartfelt story that runs so close to my heart. I’ve struggled with low self confidence and esteem for many years. Relating to Cassidy so much, I felt her every thought, every move as if they were my own back when I struggled with the same issues. I rooted for Cassidy every step of the way. The storyline was perfect, mended with beautiful characters not only learning to love God but to love themselves too. The long hard journey to get to a happy place is very difficult and so rewarding in the end. Cassidy and Jonathan’s story is the perfect example of Gods love for us and how He created us so beautifully.
Enjoyed reading Alexa Verde’s Belong With Me story. I enjoyed the animals, that Cassidy was a translator for four languages, that Alexa mentioned another favorite author Autumn McArthur, that children being abandoned by their mother is such a contemporary issue, and the theme of trust after betrayal. A well crafted page turning read. Favorite quotes are: Sometimes all YOU have to do is LOOK UP! (So true. We often forget where our source of strength is.) and Drowned in regrets. (Dwelling on regret and give us that sinking feeling.) This avid reader recommends the sweet clean small town romance. Yes life sometimes begins at forty.
