I loved Belle’s Secret by Victoria Purman, book two in the Outback Brides series, a wonderful second chance and secret wedding story. Isabella Martenson was a Marriage Officiant who moved to Wirra Station to help her friend Maggie and work at the new wedding venue. After all the men in her mother’s life she never planned that she would get married, let alone be a runaway bride. One night in Vegas, meeting a handsome winemaker changes all of her plans. A year after being deserted following his marrying to a stranger, Harry Harrison still hasn’t located his runaway brief. Flying to Australia for his best friend’s wedding, he unexpectedly runs right into the one woman he’s never been able to forget. Harry asks Isabella for a divorce while all she wants in return is that he keeps it a secret so as to not affect her business. As these two strangers spend time together exploring the area of Australia where Isabella lives and the Australian wine making country as well as getting to know one another, they discover the attraction that led them to marry in haste was not a fluke. Hopefully these two soul mates can find a solution to save their marriage rather than lose the best thing that happened to them.
This was a wonderful and emotional book to read while easy to visualize the story as it occurred. I totally loved these characters and didn’t want to put this book down. Ms. Purman did a fantastic job creating her characters, making them realistic, keeping the story interesting, making me forget the world around me and not letting me go until I turned the last page, wanting more. I highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

I enjoyed it
An Australian runaway bride. Isabella never really felt close to anyone until she met Maggie. Isabella became a wedding officiant, which helps Maggie’s business. She decided to hit a wedding venue in Las Vegas where she met and married Harry, but then ran. He show up at the station for his friend’s wedding and finds her.
Cute story with a different story line
She had met him, married him, and left him in less that 48hours.
He didn’t understand what or why. But he had found his true love and had to find her again.
Story very well told
Fun book to read and I enjoyed it.
This is a new take on runaway bride…she goes halfway around the world, but the marriage did take place. One year later she comes face to face with her husband; what are the chances?
Is there a way for them to reconcile because no alcohol is involved this time…
Another absolutely hilairious result of a crazy night in vegas. Set aside concepts of marraige licenses…. and then have fun. Oh, the quirks of the world that leads them back together… and how they figure it out. Fun read.
This book was a little too predictable. Nice beginning, ok end but really missing a good middle or some twists and turns.
A refreshing romance with nice characters
It was a different setting. There were, thankfully, no billionaires or SEALs.
This was a great family.
Easy romantic read
very good
I love Aussie stories
Really enjoyed this book. it was easy reading and extremely difficult to put down.
Love the sweet plot. Characters are great.
I enjoyed this book a great deal. It’s never easy to redeem a character who runs away the morning after her wedding night, but the author made me ache for Belle and I loved how the married partners reconnected to remember what made them act so impulsively. A fun story in a setting I would love to visit.
Wonderfully entertaining read! I didn’t want to put it down.
Another fun romantic book from this series! A really fun read.
Great story, set in my favorite country!
