An edge-of-your-seat crime mystery so action-packed you’ll find it impossible to put down. Investigative reporter, Samantha Bell, wakes to the worst news of her life. As shots ring out at a local high school, Samantha is thrown into the crosshairs of the biggest story of her career. Determined to learn why a young man declared war on innocent children, she is relieved that her son was lucky … that her son was lucky enough to make it out alive. Now it’s game on to set the record straight.
Four daring women face-off with a ruthless sniper who is terrorizing the city of Denver.
With all hands on deck, Samantha and her three crime-solving girlfriends set out to find who was responsible. Danger is hot on their trail as what began as a hate-crime suddenly appears to be something much more terrifying. There wasn’t one shooter, but two, and the second is still on the loose and targeting cops.
A riveting whodunit thriller that will leave you feeling breathless until the very end.
Wanting to protect her family and friends at all costs, secrets from Samantha’s past nearly destroy her efforts. And when she links the murdered victims to her dead husband, she knows her clock is ticking. Attacked from every angle, no one close to her is safe. When the city is about to erupt into a full-out riot, Samantha does everything she can to stop the sniper before another innocent victim is killed and she loses the city she loves forever.

I very much disliked the PROFANITY in this book, especially taking God’s name in vain. That is NEVER necessary to sell a book. The storyline was compelling, but there were too many characters to track without having to go back to refresh my memory.
Enjoyed this book. It was different that what I usually read.
I dont like cliffhangers.
This book is about a reporter who covers a school shooting at her son’s school. She finds out it was connected to a violent racist group whose members were killed and jailed years earlier.
subject matter right on for our current events. informative. suspenseful.
Great characters. Looking forward to reading the next one.
Great book. Author did a lot of research regarding metropolitan Denver. I live in metro Denver and knew exactly where everything was. Awesome and am currently reading book one. Bravo, well done. Looking forward to reading all in the series.
Somewhat predictable but still enjoyable
I like her books immensely. They are interesting and make you forget everything but getting to the end.
This book was exciting and kept you on your toes with suspense and surprises.
Worth reading
Detective story. Nonsensical pun on Hell, no point to it. No resolution to first book. A twist to require further reading in the series. I’m not interested.
Written like a novel written by a 9th grade student trying to crowd in as many expressions of fear, angst, concern, delight, etc. as possible. The writing style is so corny it makes me want to simply skim for the highlights of the actual events of the plot, etc. and not take much time with the strained, overwrought descriptions of individuals reactions to almost every tiny event..
Second book in series I read. Enjoyed both. Lots of twists and turns. Hard to put down.
This was light reading.
Great job of creating storyline without revealing the antagonist
Samantha and Erin work well together. Kept me up reading all night.
Loved the characters & will continue with the series.
Good Book
Way too much use of irrational “sayings”. I should have known when Chapter one starts with the sentence “Adrenaline pulsing through his veins …” followed quickly by “his heart knocked inside his chest…”. How do you iron your hand down someone’s arm? So many references to feeling blood doing strange things in a person’s body – just way too many whimsical references to things like that.
Pellets of sweat? Withdrew inside myself like a shriveled raisin? Felt my belly tighten itself in a dozen different knots? A few of these are ok, but this book is overwhelmed with it.
Trite. Could not finish it.
