LostAll my life, it seems, I’ve made mistakes. Once, I lost everything. Failure seems to follow me around.I didn’t spot what a snake Snake was—he had planned a mutiny right under my nose. Yeah, he did well when he appointed me as his VP. I followed him blindly, never suspecting a thing. Now Snake is dead and I’m the prez. I still spend my days doubting myself, but I’ve got the whole MC depending … got the whole MC depending on me. If I get it wrong, it won’t just be me who goes down.
Then I meet her, a woman who needs me to keep her safe. I should warn her to stay far away, tell her I’m not a man she should lean on. I’m not a person to trust when I don’t have faith in myself.
Patsy
Choices, always choices. I thought I did right when I left everything behind to make a new life, choosing which of my two adult children now needed me the most.
We should have been safe in our new life—nobody knew who we were.
But we’ve been found.
Luckily, before danger strikes, the Satan’s Devils ride up to our door.
I’m no spring chicken. I’m not looking for a man in my life. But I need protection, I need help. It’s time to make a stand and not run anymore.
There’s only one man I can depend on to keep us safe. The trouble is, he’s Lost.

This is the first book I have read by Manda Mellett. I think it might even be the first book I’m reading about a biker chapter. I’ve enjoyed learning about how the San Diego chapter functions, all the different businesses they run, and what their beliefs are. The chapter prez “Lost” is an older member who even after having this position for several years, he still feels unworthy. The chapter is notified by a chapter in Colorado to keep an eye on some family members under whiteness protection. When Lost meets Patsy, he immediately feels a connection and it seems Patsy does too. It’s nice to see these older characters find interest in each other. This is a great beginning to a series and I’m looking forward to learning more about the characters we meet in this book.
Holy cow this book was something else! It’s the first novel I’ve read by Manda Mellet, but defintely will not be the last! The detail and length of the novel reminded me of a lot of Kristen Ashely’s novels which is pretty awesome!
Lost is the MC Prez of the San Diego chapter of the Satan’s Devils. He took over a few years ago after the club seemed like it was going to fall apart from too many bad members. When his club is called upon to watch a mother and her son who are in WitSec. He never could have known something would awaken within him that’s been dormant for decades.
Patsy had to make an impossible choice and now she is trying to accept that decision. When her new life finds trouble after just barely starting, she meets some new people.
Can Patsy and Lost find any common ground? Will their chemistry ignite anyrhing? Or will Patsy need to move on to her next chapter before anything can start? I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for more!!
Amazing! I’m in love with this series. Perfect start. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author!
The relationship between Lost and Patsy was so cute and oh my god seeing their relationship grow was so cute and amazing and seeing them both learn from each other especially about each other. I really loved the relationship Lost got with her son and I liked that he put the effort in. I really liked the plot it kept me hooked and interested and honestly the writing is amazing. I read this in one sitting and loved it.
This is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series. This story follows Lost as he transitions from VP to President of the San Diego chapter. Another chapter has asked for them to watch out for Patsy and her son. But once Lost lays eyes on Patsy, game over. They’ve both been through a lot, but is it something they can overcome? Lost needs to keep them safe at all costs. What an absolute great read! Cannot wait for #2!!

Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1 by Manda Mellett
Lost is the new prez of Satan’s Devil’s. When an old foe comes to town. Then he finds his love. Maybe. The quote I chose for Lost is: “I can’t rule it out. A sensible man, out bad with our club, would never show his face in San Diego again.”
Pasty is a mom of two. When one of her kids needs her more than the other she leaves her state. When the prez of Satan’s Devils shows up unannounced. The quote I chose for Patsy is: “Who are you? And what the hell do you think you’re doing in my house?”
Highly recommended for MC lovers. It’s worth it.
Who doesn’t love an action packed suspenseful MC romance??? Patsy and her son Dan are in danger and Lost and the Satan’s Devils MC step up and protect them. Once you pick up this book, you won’t want to lay it down. Can’t wait to read more books in this series

I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and her writing just gets better with each book. I love how through she is with her descriptions if its of the club house and compound or just the people in general. These guys are not just a bunch of misfits that come together it is a brotherhood.
Lost had it all wife, house, business, money, and he lost it all. He always thinks he is a screwup that let people down. He does not know how he ended up the president of the San Diego chapter and he always thinks he will let his brothers down.
When he meets Patsy the mother of one of the old ladies from the Colorado chapter all bets are off, she is in danger and he needs to keep her safe. Can Lost keep Patsy safe or will he let her down?
Patsy she left everything behind to make a new life, choosing which of her two adult children now needed her the most. It was a hard decision for her to leave one of her children behind. So, with a new life and new city they should have been safe if it wasn’t for one mistake she made and they found her/them.
Luckily for her the Satan Devils come to the rescue before trouble starts. This is where Lost and Patsy meet there is an instant attraction between them but their both not looking for a relationship. Lost thinks he should stay away and warn her that he isn’t a person to trust when he doesn’t have faith in himself. But of course, Patsy sees him differently and feels that the only man that can keep her safe is Lost but can she really depend on him?
I highly recommend this story and all the other Satan Devil books that Ms. Mellett wrote….

My love for Manda Mellet and her Satan’s Devils began in Colorado and has now moved to San Diego!
Lost is the name of the president of the San Diego chapter of the Satan’s Devils motorcycle club. Lost is well, lost. And for most of the book he is finding himself. And finding a reason for happiness, which he finds in Patsy who is in danger. Lost makes her his top priority.
Patsy and her son, Dan, are trying to start a new life away from the trouble Pasty’s ex-husband started before his death. But some things are hard to escape. Maybe the help from a Lost man is all Patsy needs.
I like this story and the growth that Lost makes throughout it. I love that this story has older characters as the lead. Not every hero/heroine is a 20-something Barbie girl!
Glad I have the next book in this series ready to go!
This book rocked my world!! I knew I was going to love it because who doesn’t love a genuine motorcycle man? Being Lost by Manda Mellett is book 1 in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series. If ever there was an older gentleman that could make me swoon, Lost is him!! Lost is the president of MC. He is funny, smart, ambitious, protective, romantic and so much more! Patty is once divorced and not even close to looking for a relationship because life has different plans for her. She is scared, living under an assumed named, newly estranged from her daughter because of circumstances involving her son, and unknowingly under the protection of the MC when she unexpectedly gets a knock at her door. From that moment on, this story is unpredictable, mysterious, steamy in places, and outright unputdownable! 5 star read for sure!

I don’t always get to read stories about older people. I was really surprised at how it turned out. I shouldn’t have been Manda Mellett is a really good author. I found this story to be refreshing and believable. We all think that with age we are settled and there is no worries. In this story or lead Pasty is anything but settled. Her life hasn’t been easy. She is tired and ready for a change. I really understood Lost character. He couldn’t really find his way. There are days when you just don’t know which way to go. Liked that they both weren’t looking for it and yet they found each other. Being Lost is how most people are feeling in 2020. You just get up and do because there is someone counting on you. I really enjoyed this first book I am betting book 2 will be even better. I am happy that I got to read such a great story. The character great and the plot good. The author has a great flow.
I loved this novel from start to finish. It has everything that I enjoy reading about. It’s witty unpredictable. It has wonderful characters and it’s action packed from start to finish. Overall this novel is very entertaining to read and keep you engaged in it from start to finish.
I never turn down the chance to read an MC book, i love the danger and the romance, and The first book in this series has all of that and more. I’m not normally a fan of the older couple romances but i really enjoyed this and I cant wait to read the next book. There was so much chemistry between Patsy and Lost, its such a roller costar ride but one you definitely want to get on.
I love MC romances, the rougher and dirtier the better. I found a new MC author that kept me intrigued and wanting more. Being Lost, the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC – San Diego by Manda Mellett was so good that I need to go back and read her other books.
What a powerful couple to lead this MC. I will say that I’m not a huge fan of the older couple romance but Manda’s writing has me rethinking that. I can’t wait for more in this series.
I loved Lost and Patsy! I really enjoy MC books, especially after my binge of SOA. I’ve read a couple other series, and they’re definitely more aggressive that this. I am gonna stick around and see how their story grows, and I can’t wait to read the next book!
Another home run for Manda Mellett! Being Lost the first in the series of the San Diego Chapter of the Satan’s Devil’s Motorcycle Club. The first set is based on the mother chapter in Tucson. You don’t have to read that series in order to read this one. But you know me…I always suggest you read everything from the beginning so you have a knowledge base. In this story we meet Lost. Lost is the President of the San Diego chapter. One of the main problems with him is that he doesn’t feel like he deserves to be prez. He constantly questions everything because the chapter was betrayed once before. Next we meet Patsy, she had to flee her home to save her son. The Tuscon chapter has asked SD to help watch over and her son. These two have both been hurt by people, which means that they don’t trust easily. So when it comes to each other they don’t know how to love easily as well. These two are such relatable characters in that sense. Like all of these author’s books, this book was such an easy read and it drew you in from the beginning and you just couldn’t put it down! I love this author and cannot wait to for the rest of this series! I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who love’s MC series! Well done Manda!

MC books are a hit or miss with me. This isn’t a genre that I can identify with or really understand, however, Being Lost, by Manda Mellett is a fantastic book to get started for someone who is looking to cut their teeth on an MC series. These are not your typical heroes and heroines. The main male character is much older than the other books that I read, but I like a silver fox with a plan, and Lost is just that fox. Lost has found himself in charge of the wellbeing of a mature woman and her adult son. They are in danger and the more Lost and Patsy get to know each other, the less he can stomach the thought of something happening to her.
Mellett is a fantastic storyteller. She brings depth and life to both character and story. You will not regret picking up this book and starting this series. 4 out of 5 stars. A must-read.
Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett was a awesome 5 star read that i enjoyed alot. She pulled me in and I devoured it til the very last page. Her writing is awesome and I have loved everything that I have read by this Amazing author. Lost is the prez of his local mc chapter and his mc decides to help another chapter by looking after a woman and her son. Lost and Patsy meet and the chemistry is off the charts hot. I really loved these two together. But things are still not safe for Patsy and her son but hopefully Lost and the MC can keep them safe.
I am looking forward to reading more by this author soon!
Happy reading!

A little bit of romance and a lot of suspense. Not for those under 18. But the rest of us MC readers can read this.
This MC Pres. Will take you on a wonderful intense ride. Lost is haunted by Snake. This is his time to do his brothers right. Patsy is the mother of Beth and Dan, Beth with Ink. Therefore there is a father out there that is bringing trouble to the family. Mother and son go into hiding, for how long? That’s all you get!
Manda Mellett has done it again. Where does she get this stuff? Love the Satan’s Devils MC. Every character has a story, every story is worth the read. Manda Mellett has proven her love of Bikers. This book is well written and So worth the read. I am sure you will fall in love with this story. I can’t wait to see where this series goes. Well done Manda Mellett! Well done
5 stars!
As always from Manda Mellett, another amazing story. We hear about the San Diego chapter of Satan’s Devils in previous books, so having the start to a new series is making me all kinds of happy! The one thing I love about this book is the characters are all older adults, which gives the series more depth in my opinion. In this book we meet Lost and Patsy. Of course both have had troubling pasts and bad previous marriages, but when they meet each other, there is an instant connection. As in previous books from this author, the characters have to overcome something troubling from their past that catches up with them. So of course Lost steps in to protect Patsy. Maybe with his help she can finally stop running from her past that is catching up to her, maybe she can finally relax knowing her children are safe. This book also shows the bond of the brothers in the MC and how close they are with each other and how no matter what happens between any of them they have each other’s back. Lost was really breaking my heart and I was hoping for the best for him, he deserves something good, and he finally finds that in Patsy. I keep thinking how long can this series last? How many more stories can be made and still be different from the last, but every time I pick up another book from the Satan’s Devils series, I am surprised, blown away and I fall in love. I can’t wait to see what is in store next.
Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1
by Manda Mellett
I absolutely loved this book as I knew I would because Manda Mellett has yet to ever disappoint me. I am so glad that we will be getting to know characters from the San Diego chapter. This was a great start to a new series. Lost and Patsy are both older characters who have been hurt in the past and aren’t looking for anyone, but they find themselves attracted to each other. They each have insecurities that make them more relatable. Lost has many doubts about his ability to lead. Patsy has doubts about her parenting and if she’s making the right choices. I couldn’t help but get invested in these characters and I just wanted everything to work out for them. To find out their story this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.
