Confident. Charming. Magnetic. Irresistible.Women undress me with their eyes and fantasize about an evening with me in Club Irons. Those who get their chance rave about our time. I’m self-sufficient, and I don’t need or want a permanent woman in my life. I like my sex kinky, hard and a touch on the rough side. And I don’t mix sex with emotions. I’m unable to give a woman anything but an evening … anything but an evening of pleasure, and I’m not looking for anything complicated. I just want fun sex with no ropes attached…unless I’m the one applying the rope.
At one time I thought I was destined for a life of loneliness, chased by the demons of my past. Things have changed. I have a few exceptional friends who have become my family and are everything to me.
Sure, I have my share of regrets, but I don’t like talking or sharing much from my life. There are parts of my past that I may never reveal to anyone.
Ever.
*Warning: This book contains dark content and covers abuse in memories, nightmares, and flashbacks of the main character. Please read with caution.

I fell in love with Colin when i read the Everett Gaming series, and will admit i still claim colin wholeheartedly! With that being said, OH ANTHONY!
I have loved the journey Drew has taken us on to help us understand Anthony on a deeper level and to fall in love with him even more! I won’t lie tho, this is a GUTWRENCHING story! (but also where the famous “wink” really comes into play)
When we experience atrocities against us, it leaves it’s mark. The horrors can form who we are and who we think we can or cannot be. In these times, it’s when we need friends/family the most, but what if you don’t have any? or what if the relationships are new and you don’t feel like you can share that “layer” of yourself?
Being Graves is brilliantly written, with haunting flashbacks that will hit you like a punch in the gut and make you reach for your kleenex.
I found myself drawn to Anthony sooo much more and when I finished this book it made me want to jump right back into the Everett Gaming Series for a reread!
Drew Sera is a must read author! i HIGHLY recommend!
Being Graves picks up where Saving Graves left off. It’s a moment that seemed pretty benign at the time, Colin and Matt approaching Anthony to ask him about the candles he used in his last scene. But that conversation is anything but benign, it changed everything. It was the beginning of a brotherhood. An unbreakable bond was formed especially between Anthony and Colin. The concept is so foreign to Anthony but because Colin seems to understand him and some of his pain, he trusts Colin and in doing so, his world opens up for the better. They begin working together and kinda playing together. YES, this book contains a lot of hot, steamy, kinky sex. However, Anthony’s demons continue to haunt both his waking and sleeping hours. These nightmares/ flashbacks will make your skin crawl and bring you to tears. Anthony is learning to cope with them the best he can with his new support system. It’s no surprise to hear me praise Drew Sera because I adore her work and I think everyone should read all her books so please check them out. This book in particular I loved because of the way Drew portrayed the bond between these men over the course of close to 2 decades. They would do anything for one another and I found that to be extraordinarily beautiful. It’s proof that you don’t need to be blood to be family.
I first came across Drew Sera in another author’s group. I ended up winning an e-copy of her book Fragile, the first book in her Everett Gaming Series. I devoured it and was hooked. Since then, I have read every single book Drew has written, and with each new book I have fallen more and more in love with her characters. Being Graves is no different. There are so many scenes that make my heart hurt for the little boy that Anthony was, and the utter torment and sadistic abuse he suffered. But every one of those things helped to mold him to be the man he is. In Being Graves, we get to watch the friendship between him, Colin, and Matt develop and grow. The bond they have goes deeper than friendship and its so touching. The book isn’t all dark and brooding, there are some moments that will make you smile, and plenty of kinky scenes to make your inner kinkster purr with happiness. Another wonderful read from a very talented author!
In Being Graves we learn more and more about the horrors that Anthony suffered as a child. We also see how those experiences still cloud the life he lives so many years later. However the core of this story is the friendship that develops between Anthony, Colin and Matt. The family that Anthony makes with his friends may start to heal the scars that his own family left behind.
While the story showcases Anthony becoming the man that we meet in the Everett Gaming series, the flashbacks to his childhood and the horrors that get hinted at explain so very much about the Dom that Anthony becomes. With each flashback readers see just how damaging every single day of Anthony’s young life really was. With each chapter I wanted to hurt those who caused so much pain in Anthony’s life.
Being Graves is another heart wrenching novel by an author that is at the top of my one-click list.
Drew Sera wow just wow. This is the second part of Anthony’s story and you won’t be disappointed. We get to learn more of him and see how he comes into being a man. With Blake supporting him and finding new friends in Colin and Matt. You will all fall in love with Anthony even though we all know he had a tough childhood he is strong and the women can’t keep there eyes of him. If you haven’t read Saving Graves you need to before you read Being Graves.
The Irons club series is full of hot BDSM scenes that may make you hot. No matter what Drew Sera writes it’s very HOT and gets you feeling every emotion with the story. 5 Stars for this latest Book.
He won’t break your heart — but his story will.
Another beautifully and moving story by Drew Sera! This book continues the story of Anthony Graves’ formative years and his path toward the family he forms with his friends from Club Irons.
This story is painful to read, but it’s pain with a purpose. It helps you understand Anthony’s torturous past and makes you want to protect him from it.
Drew Sera is masterful in her descriptive writing and paints a picture with every written word. The subtle phrases and insightful passages give life to Anthony’s story. There WILL BE TEARS. Don’t fight them. Let them wash over you and cleanse your spirit as Anthony Graves takes control of your heart.
He won’t break your heart — but his story will. Knowing what his future holds will soothe your soul and give you hope.
Drew Sera did it again! This is the follow-up book to Saving Graves, and takes the reader on another roller coaster ride of emotion. It’s wonderful watching the relationship between Anthony, Colin and Matt. The book also shows how deep the relationship began Blake and Anthony is.
The flashbacks between his childhood and the maturing man show just how physical, psychological and emotional abuse can affect an adult. I cried. A lot. But also smiled and giggled. It is a must read!!
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Wow. Drew has done it again. What a great story. It makes you want to just hug Anthony and never let him out of your arms. The book gives you more insight as to him upbringing and why he us like he is, but now you can piece it all together. It a,so makes you want to go back now and start reading Fragile. Looking forward to the rest of the story. You will enjoy reading this book. You will laugh and cry for keep the Kleenex and M&M’s handy.
Wow Drew Sera you have do it again. This book is amazing. This book is the second series and you will feel all the emtional feeling coming through the words. This story will pull at your heart strings and you will what more from this story.
While I loved this book and all of Drew Sera’s books, it constantly amazes me that human beings can be so cruel to each other and especially defenseless children. I know rationally that this is a work of fiction, but it is so accurate and and Drew has the ability to make it real that itmakes me so mad. Thankfully, Anthony did not become an abuser himself and as we know from reading the Everett Gaming Series, Anthony finds his own happy ending. Thank goodness Drew released them in this order or I might not have made it to the end, as it is, I think I should invest in shares with Kleenex before I read the next one, I would make a fortune! A great book and I can’t wait for the next one.
This book delves further into the man that Anthony Graves becomes. If you haven’t read Saving Graves the book before this one, check it out. We first meet Anthony in the Everett Gaming Series. Anthony had a terrible childhood and this gives us insight to the man who rises above that and becomes Sir/Master Anthony. I loved this book. We meet old friends who are basically new friends at this time but you see how they all depend on each other and support each other.
Being Graves is the continuation of Anthony’s story. Saving Graves needs to be read first.
This book explores more of Anthony’s life and all that happened to him. It also shows the growth of his friendship with Colin.
It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning to the end, keeping you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend Being Graves!!
Anthony is that man that CLAIMS your attention and COMMANDS it fully
Drew Sera… has yet again delivered such an exceptional book with Being Graves. Your breathe will be stolen by the words and imagery Drew conveys inside these pages.
From the beginning of the Club Irons series – Anthony Graves was the character that one had to experience for themselves by reading and immersing yourself in his story. No words can ever do this character justice. If you have the opportunity – start fresh from the beginning and please read his story to fully appreciate the depth, inner strength and quality of this character and the people that lovingly surround him.
This is Anthony’s life right now. His journey. It’s not a love story but a story of the bonds of friendships formed amongst those he finally feels connections with. The seeds of finally belonging and hope are planted.
Highly emotive. Sensually explicit, in its Club scenes – because now you get both Anthony and Colin together. Oh boy they do give you blistering heat and make a impact on your senses. The beautiful bonds of connections, friendship and brotherhood (Anthony, Colin, Matt and continuing those established with Blake ) that are formed makes reading a pleasure. Then there are the moments – deeply disturbing in the glimpses of past memories and nightmares experienced that brings anger and sadness. How does one manage to get through such travesties. With fortitude, strength and gritty determination the only way he knows how. Totally unconventional to most but for Anthony his normal. He has found an outlet in the most unexpected ways, in the confines of the BDSM world, in particular – Club Irons – to ease his burdens and control his pain, from a past steeped in violence and depravity. Within Club Irons, he is becoming the embodiment of Master at such a young age.
It’s within Club Irons, that he commands attention from woman because he is exacting and detail oriented and gives the women what they need without taking anything except having his physical needs met – no emotional outpourings allowed, nor wanted. It will take someone extraordinarily special to get past his solid, protective defensive barriers.
For any reader, while this book has moments that are dark and disturbing, it also has those amusing and heart touching moments and sizzling sex scenes that make you melt. Please read with an open mind. You just might find that book that resonates and touches your heart and soul.
Settle in and read Drew’s – BEING GRAVES. Anthony is that man that CLAIMS your attention and COMMANDS it fully. He is definitely turning heads!
Another 5 Star read by Drew Sera. Anthony is the most broken character I’ve ever “met”. This book gives more insight into the horrendous abuse Anthony endured as a child and how much it truly effected him. Despite all he’s endured Anthony wants to be a good friend, a good employee, and most importantly, a good person. Some new points of view also help us see Anthony the way others do, even if they’re completely wrong. I loved this book! Anthony Graves has my heart!
I didn’t think I could love Anthony anymore than I did after the first book. Colin and Matt was a treat. Nice to see more of Blake as well.
The way it was written that made you look into Anthony’s life brought tears in my eyes as well as laughters.
I liked the time changes so I could follow him during the years.
Don’t know what to say. I just Loved the book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Being Graves: A Iron club novel by Drew Sera. The storyline is well-written. And the words are not constantly repeated it. From page one you can feel a pool of emotions and feelings being expressed by the characters. (Anger, pain, sadness, guilt, hurt) Like how the author uses different dates to explain past and present. My heart aches for Anthony for everything he goes through in his life. Anthony didn’t grow up in a loving home. Being hated by his mother. Mistreated by Connor and Bruce causing him to have nightmares of his past. His father passing away caused him more pain. Finding support in Colin and Matt. See them as brothers. Blake is concern about Anthony. He finds out something his doing. Will Blake figure away for Anthony to open more to him? or will he hide what wrong with him? I recommend you to read this book. It deserves more than five stars. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy.
Being Graves is the continuation of Anthony’s story, prior to what happens in The Gaming series.
In this book, there is the continued progression of Anthony trying to get over what happened in his past, while trying to make a good life for himself. He meets Colin and Matt, who become his best friends. He shares a lot of things with them, but there are still things that Anthony can’t share because they are too painful.
This is a very powerful and well told story of the continued healing of a man that had a horrific childhood. He is still trying to come to terms with what happened to him, which takes time. In the meantime, he is excelling at his job and with making friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although some parts were hard to read. For all that he went through, it definitely makes me love Anthony all the more.
Review willingly being left on behalf of Reading Through Her Eyes
This book takes place after Saving Graves, so it’s recommended that you do read that one first. Anthony in this is a young man growing into the man he becomes in the Everett Gaming Series. We’re taken on a ride into his life and the reason he’s the way he is.
Overall Thoughts: Drew Sera has one again brought me to tears with her dark past of the character I have come to love over the course of reading this author’s work. Anthony’s story is emotional and heartbreaking; you’re thrown into his horrendous past in various forms like flashbacks and nightmares. If you don’t like the topic of abuse then this book is not for you. I devoured this book from start to finish in one sitting because I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know where Drew Sera was going to take us on this journey. This is a book I highly recommend and I also recommend to check out the rest of Drew Sera’s books!
Another wonderful book that Drew sera has written. I love reading about Anthony, his heartbreaking journey but always overcoming. I love reading anything this author puts our she truly is a storyteller. You will not be disappointed in this story. Highly recommend.
Anthony’s story continues in this book giving us more insight into his horrendous childhood. It’s amazing that he survived what he endured let alone became the man he does. Blake’s mentoring and his new found friends to brothers in Colin and Matt make this story unforgettable! I recommend you read anything you can by Drew Sera! Her books are powerful and grip you from the beginning leaving you with a book hangover for days!
