Meet Noah Geren in this Brother’s Best Friend Romance
Dating my brother’s best friend? Yeah, that’s forbidden… idea of him go.
And it almost worked
Until that late summer night.
Shannon Smith.
My best friend’s sister.
The secret star of my late-night fantasies.
Hotter than sin.
Unattainable
There’s a code among best friends and teammates—no dating their sisters.
Too bad I didn’t listen.
One weak moment changed everything.
And nothing at all.
I’m not good for her.
They call me the sensible one,
But the more Shannon and I are forced to be together,
Staying away makes less sense,
And the reasons become hard to remember.
But I need to stay strong.
For reasons she’ll never understand.

A brother’s best friend story. Shannon has been in love with Noah her brother’s best friend since they were young. Noah has feelings for Shannon too but has never acted on it because she is his best friend’s little sister and there is a code amongst baseball players, but how long can you stand back when you are always around the object of your attraction. This was a beautiful, a bit emotional story with wonderful characters. This is the second book in this series and I can’t wait to read more!
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
I loved this book so much. It had all the feels. A baseball player with issues, a best friends sister and knowing each other for a long time. This book was so good, I couldn’t put it down. It does have a HEA.

I was excited to read Shannon & Noah’s story since finishing Cara and Braxton’s. Shannon has crushed on friend Noah since she was a little girl. In college their relationship starts to change and they try to keep it a secret from her brother. Their relationship is not without challenges. I really like this group of characters and am looking forward to reading about the others.
Best friend’s little sister? Yes, please! Noah and Shannon have known each other practically their whole lives. They grew up together and Noah is Shannon’s older brother, Braxton’s best friend. It been the three of them through some pretty intense times for kids. Braxton assumes Noah and Shannon are more like siblings but neither of them feel that way. Shannon finally works up some courage to go after her dreams, like all of them. Being able to run a 5k taking her heart condition into consideration, designing clothes good enough to qualify for a national show, and Noah. Although i dont think her intention to go after Noah was planned out. She is the perfect girl next door, sweet and kind. She does have a concept about herself that could make or break her. Noah is very similar. He has something from his past that could derail his whole future. I loved this couple so much. Noah is trying to navigate a world where his future may not depend on anything he can control and that makes him protective of those he loves. Shannon is also uncertain but is tired of being held on a pedestal by her brother especially but really those who know her past. Not only do they have those things to overcome, her brother might be the biggest obstacle of all since no one is good enough for his baby sister.
Since we don’t get to go to the ballpark, reading about baseball is the next best thing! Shannon and Noah have been friends for so long and finally deserve their happiness as a couple. Lies, hidden feelings, drama, major push and pull and misunderstandings happens along the way and this is their story of if they were able to get their HEA at the end. This was very well written and you won’t want to put it down once you start it!
am loving the Cessna U series. We have book two which is the story of Noah and Shannon. They have known each other for years as he is her brother, Braxton best friend.
Now attending the same university the bro code is challenging. The love these two have for each other. The challenges that they face and the sacrifices that they make are angsty and amazing.
I have fallen in love with these couples in the series. College baseball romance that is a home run.
Noah and Braxton are not only lifelong best friends, but they are also teammates on the same college team. Noah has been friends with Shannon for just as long and although his feelings for her run deeper than friendship he believes that is all they can ever have not only because of Braxton but because of his past as well.
Shannon is now attending the same college which only makes her attraction to Noah that much more difficult as she knows that Braxton doesn’t wanting her dating any man let alone his best friend. One stolen moment changes everything but will they decide that the reward of being together is worth the risk or are there too many obstacles for them to overcome?
Heart, humor, heat and great characters all add up to a captivating story.

Shannon has loved Noah for as long as she can remember. After years of rejection and unreturned feelings she realizes it is finally time to move on. Noah has loved Shannon for years but will not act on them because he has a secret he won’t burden her with. The push and pull of these two was fabulously written and man it was heart wrenching at times. Shannon has not had a simple life but she more than anything just wants to be a regular girl. Her self esteem has been through the wringer and her mind is hard to shut off but slowly Noah gives her the confidence she needs and the ability to thrive in her life until his fears lead him to shatter her heart once again. Noah is a amazing and he just wants to do what he thinks is right for Shannon but when he thinks his worst fear has become a reality he refuses to be her burden even if it means rilping his heart out. These two were perfect for one another and eventually Noah sees the truth that Shannons love for him will be his greatest asset on life. This book was amazing and brought out all the feelings. I laughed I cried I wanted to beat Noah and Marla. It was a phenomenal read and can not wait for the rest of the series.

I love a good forbidden, best friend’s sister, romance and this one did not disappoint! Full of lots of emotional moments, this book had me hooked from start to finish dying to know what what going to happen and how things were going to work out.
Noah and Shannon are wonderful characters and the chemistry between them was off the charts.
This book really has everything you could want in a great story! A must read book for sure! By Alisa
Behind the Count is the second book in the Cessna U Wildcats series. I knew in the first book that there was more to Shannon and Noah than met the eye and I couldn’t wait to read their story. It did not disappoint.
Shannon is Braxton’s little sister and she has always had a crush on Braxton’s best friend, Noah. Braxton has one rule for all his teammates and that is that his sister is off limits. Noah tries to abide by this rule, but he finds himself drawn to Shannon and it becomes difficult to resist the pull.
Shannon was a delight. She has her insecurities due to circumstances that were beyond her control and I loved how she used those insecurities to create fashion for women like her. She was inspiring and so strong.
I loved Noah. He was so sweet and protective, but he had his demons. He was so afraid of his future, but once he finally shared his fears, he was finally able to truly live.
Watching these two try to deny what was happening between was the best kind of angst. They had a solid foundation which is rooted in the friendship they have had since they were little. Their journey was not an easy one. It was filled with ups and downs and painful choices, but they were always there for each other. Their support and love for the each other made them each stronger.
I savored each word of this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in their series!!
Shannon and Noah had a love for eachother that was forbidden because he was her brother’s bf. But the heart wants what it wants. I loved the build up until they could not stay away. Great chemistry.
This is a best friend’s sister romance. Noah and Braxton are best friends and have played baseball together through Little League to University. Shannon is Braxton’s little sister. Shannon and Noah have always been close but the older they got those feelings change as they realize their attraction for da other. This is an enjoyable read that is in turns, funny, steamy, and emotional. Shannon and Noah learn that along with their attraction, communication is key to a good relationship. Also the book has:
Great cast of characters
Baseball jocks
A persistent ex
Sexy times
Secret trysts
HEA
This is the first I’ve read by this author, overall, I enjoyed the book, I love sports romances and this didn’t disappoint.
I really enjoyed this book. Noah and Shannon have been friends since they were kids and both have issues and hang ups (like most of us in real life lol). I think the most important take away message in this book is not to assume anything and be 100% up front about why you are feeling a certain way.
This is book #2 in the Cessna U Wildcats series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to understand the series, I recommend reading this great series in order.
Shannon is trying to live her best life. She has overcome weakness, health issues, and has learned to stand on her feet. Now she is trying to survive college with her overprotective brother hovering nearby.
Noah has been in love with Shannon for a while now. She seems attracted to him as well. If only he wasn’t best friends with her brother. That is a bond he cannot risk.
This was such an emotional roller coster ride. I was glad I was on it, however. I had been excited to read this story and it did not disappoint. This couple has eyes for each other and truly excels when they are together. If only they could learn to jump in. I loved that is was fast paced, had lots of heat, and was sincerely a longtime coming.

Omg! I loved this book! Good romance read with the right amount of angst, overprotectiveness, drama heartbreak and love. The characters are deep and relatable. Highly recommend!
I loved going back to Cessna University!
In book 2 we get Noah and Shannon’s story, and who doesn’t love a good forbidden romance. Noah and Shannon have known each other practically their whole lives. Noah was Shannon’s next-door neighbor and best friend to her older brother Braxton. Even though Noah has had a connection like no other with Shannon, this father’s death plus the bro code – have left him leaving Shannon in the strictly friends field. The only problem is he thinks Shannon feels the same way about him, and it’s getting harder and harder to leave her out in the field and not bring her into the more than category.
I loved these two together. Both had issues and fears to get around. And the biggest issue is Shannon’s brother who has warned off anyone who tries to date her:
I can’t get enough of this series and can not wait for the next book!
This book is really good. The characters are well developed. I loved Shannon and Noah. Noah is friends with Shannon’s brother. They grew up together, so he has known her since she was kid. So this book could go in many directions. Shannon is a sweet and innocent girl. She has had been through a lot growing up as well as Noah. Noah has always sister zoned Shannon. So what will happen when they start going to college together? Shannon’s brother is very protective of her and so is Noah. However she is failing a class and needs to be tutored. She goes to the tutoring building only to find out that it is her ex and this is not good. Then Noah decides to help her. What will come of this? There is a lot of emotions that transpire throughout the book. Will they be able to pass the obstacles that lay before them. Will they be able to accept what they can have now. Only time will tell. This book is a great addition to the series.

My all time favorite kind of books, baseball and romance! I absolutely love this series! I fell in love with Braxton and Cara’s story and couldn’t wait for Noah’s story! I was definitely not disappointed! I was so hooked that I couldn’t put it down! I am super excited for Garret’s story next!
Noah and Shannon have known each other all their lives, he’s her brother’s best friends and she is the younger sister that wants what she shouldn’t, Noah. The tension between these two ride high as they try to navigate their emotions and chemistry. They know they shouldn’t act on these feelings because relationships will be put to a test and if things don’t work out how will it affect everyone around them. Not only is the chemistry between them strong but they both have issues that make them question if a future would be possible. This is a new to me author and I loved this read and will definitely be checking more out.
