Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth; she has charm and elegance. He’s a dedicated attorney who has never lost a case; she is a flawless homemaker, a masterful gardener and cook, and dotes on her disabled younger sister. Though they are still newlyweds, they seem to have it all. You might not want to like them, but you do. You’re hopelessly charmed by the ease and … and comfort of their home, by the graciousness of the dinner parties they throw. You’d like to get to know Grace better.
But it’s difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are inseparable.
Some might call this true love. Others might wonder why Grace never answers the phone. Or why she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. Or why she never seems to take anything with her when she leaves the house, not even a pen. Or why there are such high-security metal shutters on all the downstairs windows.
Some might wonder what’s really going on once the dinner party is over, and the front door has closed.

Wow…just WOW!! I enjoyed this book and I had read/heard mixed reviews about this book. However, I do suggest that you give this read!!!
Fantastic read. The kind of book that has you on the edge of your seat.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read.
Excellent read.
Good plot, surprising twists all the way to the end. Just when you think you’ve got it all unraveled, another take-your-breath-away turn happens.
You never know what goes on behind the closed doors. A marriage may look good in public but not in private.
Couldn’t stop reading this book but a little disappointed in the ending!
Scary and entertaining at the same time.
Not great as advertised. Formulaic, predictable.
To everyone they look like the perfect couple but behind closed doors it is a totally different world. This book should not be missed if you are into psychological suspense. Be prepared the subject matter is a bit difficult. You will despise the husband and his sadistic psychological hold over his wife but the story is worth the read!
This is a really great book.
This is was not my typical type of book. I wasn’t sure I would be able to read it but the story line sucked me in, with the flipping back in forth from the past to the present.
Sooooooooooo utterly disturbing! I had to flip to the last 2 pages of this book to reassure myself in order to continue reading! Appreciate the notion that the sister with a disability was the smarter, stronger of the two.
Was initially going to give it 3 stars but given the amount of time I’ve been thinking about it after finishing it, 4 stars it is!
Read this book in 3 days. Did not want to put it down; I wanted to see how it ends. Would definitely re-read this one in the future.
I could NOT put this book down and I immediately pre-ordered her next book when I finished the first!
Frankly, couldn’t finish it. Too ugly, and not intriguing enough to plow through and find out what happens. Getting tired of women who don’t fight back or leave… early on she could have got out.
Didn’t want to put it down
Good story. Well written.
Didn’t finish it.
