I have now turned into a 50 year old groupie of a fictional band…
This is a hot collection of the first two books in Found in Oblivion.
Bedded Bliss: 5 stars.
Rockstars and single moms, at first glance, may seem like an odd pairing, but here in Bedded Bliss, it’s a formula for a sexy, sweet ride. Michael is the guitarist for up and coming band, Warning Sign. He’s had a tough go of it lately, in the tabloids for rock star things like drinking and living it up. He’s been warned by his manager (and former stepmom), to get his act together. Meaning, clean up his image or else. When he meets single mom, Chloe, in Vegas, sparks fly and things happen…like a wedding that neither of them remembers happening.
I loved watching their relationship unfolding. They both fight it, but neither can deny the feelings they develop. Chloe wants to just forget what happened. She knows better than to get tangled up with another rock star. The last rock star she got involved with gave her the best present ever: her son. But, she certainly doesn’t want to live the life of a rock star’s wife, not while she has a son to raise and bills to pay. But, she doesn’t count on Michael’s persistence in staying married. Michael has spent his entire life watching his parents break their marriage vows, and the last thing he wants is to walk in their shoes. So when he finds himself married, well, he intends to stay married and not end up like his parents.
This is a great start to a new series, can’t wait to read them all!
Triple Trouble: 5 stars.
It’s a hot menage between Juliet, bassist of Warning Sign, Randy “Sparks” Pruitt, Warning Signs’ lighting director, and Tristan Eves, gourmet chef and Randy’s best friend and roommate. Sparks has been lusting after Juliet for ages now, but has never once made his desire known. Tristan, on the other hand, has no problem letting Juliet know he wants her. After the wedding of their mutual friend, they all come together and all bets are off.
But, while the physical parts of their menage are easy to manage, the emotional complexities of an actual relationship between the 3 are much harder for the 3 to figure out, especially when 2 of them are around each other while on tour together, and the third is left on his own working like a dog in his frenetic kitchen. While I loved the sexy scenes of them together, the emotional scenes are really where Triple Trouble shines. It’s here that the reader gets to know the 3 people in this seemingly odd relationship.
As with any good combination, all 3 people in this menage are different and bring different factors into their relationship. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like Juliet, as she comes off as shallow and more than a little insensitive, but once more into the story, her layers are revealed and her true self comes out. She’s actually very sweet, and just hiding behind a completely fake facade, due to many things in her past, including ridiculous parents and a painful incident with an ex. Randy is my favorite of our 3. He’s strong and silent and really intense. He’s traditional and a complete gentleman. A really sexy gentleman, but a gentleman, nonetheless. Tristan, on the other hand, is a little more like Juliet, he’s always been just about sex and not into commitment. He’s not one for talking about his feelings, because he’s never allowed himself to have any feelings about any of the many women he’s been with. But, Juliet brings something out in him and he can’t help fall for her. And Randy, he even has feelings for his best friend, especially when they’re all in bed together. But, his feelings aren’t sexual, they’re just love of a brother, a best friend. I found myself wondering (and hoping) if there were any bisexual tendencies between the two men, but their feelings were entirely platonic toward each other.
If sexy rockstars are your thing, I highly recommend you put Bedded Trouble (and the whole series) on your TBR list today!
Love this series!
Fresh look at a young man maturing because he met the right girl
fun read
Great reading. exciting from the beginning
This was a combo book what follows one band tied to a few. Interesting stories, but too much talking in the second book made me skip ahead.
Great book. Keeps you interested.
I read it last week. Pretty forgettable. I just remember thinking, this is stupid and I’m not going to finish it. One big cliche. Not very accurate.
Seemed to drag on after a while. Very erotic though. Did get quite steamy
Loved this book, definitely recommend
These two books were fun and sexy reads that I really enjoyed.
Bedded Bliss
Michael is an up-and-coming Rock Star with a bad boy image that he can’t seem to shake, so when he wakes up in Las Vegas after a show and finds out that he got married the night before in a drunken haze it looks like he will never loose the bad boy title.
Chloe is a single mom raising her son after her fiance Snake died a few years earlier, she does everything for her son so when she has the rare girls weekend away in Vegas I am sure the last thing she ever thought would happen that weekend was getting so plastered that she wouldn’t remember what she had done the night before….as in marrying Michael Shawcross the lead guitarist for Warning Sign!
I found these two quite interesting, they were like yin and yang, very much the opposite but very much made for one another.
Triple Trouble
I think this has to be the HOTTEST book that I have read by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott! The chemistry between Tristan, Randy (Sparks), and Juliet is combustible. This was a great story of a wild girl, a quiet-straitlaced guy, and the eternal bachelor, coming together and what starts as a wild Halloween wedding hookup quickly turns into something the three of them never expected. A great addition to the Found in Oblivion Series
A fabulous two book bundle!
Bedded Bliss
Bedded Bliss is the first book in the Found in Oblivion series. I will admit that I read and absolutely loved their previous Lost in Oblivion (LIO) series and this new series comes out of that one. The people you meet in LIO appear in this new series. Michael is the lead guitarist in the rock band Warning Sign. Chloe is the fiancé of the now deceased Snake (from the LIO series). She’s mom to a 2 year old boy, Axl but has been granted a girls weekend in Las Vegas. She’s dressed up and ready to have fun. She’s at Warning Sign’s concert and totally into it and enjoying herself. He sees her and is totally hard for her when he realizes that its Chloe. The next morning, they wake up naked and sporting matching jewelry. She’s gone without looking back.
Michael needs to fix his image and this marriage is key to helping him fix it. Chloe wants nothing to do with bad boy rockers. She’s been there, done it and has the kid to prove it. Michael’s not easily swayed and needs to find her and convince her to give this a chance. Will this bad boy rocker take to marriage? Will he be ready to handle a child? Will Chloe give him a chance?
This is a great book! In typical Cari and Taryn fashion, there’s no smooth road and there’s a roller coaster of emotions. This book truly delights!
Triple Trouble
In Triple Trouble, the main characters are Juliet (the bassist for the band Warning Signs). She’s the younger sister to Margo (who’s married to Simon from the Lost in Oblivion series) and trying to find her own way in the spotlight. Then there’s Randy Pruitt (aka Sparks). He’s the brother to Harper (who’s married to Deacon in the Lost in Oblivion series). He’s the lighting guy for Warning Signs. And the third person, in this Triple Trouble is Tristan Eves. He’s a head chef of a top notch restaurant and best friends with Randy.
Juliet comes across like quite the wild child. Randy is more thoughtful and serious and Tristan seems to just want one night of fun, no attachments. They’re all at a friends wedding when Tristan and Juliet are about to hook up when they run into Randy. Randy has always pined for Juliet from afar. Being a member of the crew working for the band, Randy knows the pecking order and how the crew and band never intermix. However, he can’t help lusting after Juliet. Tristan suggests a threesome and gets everyone on board. Their first time is seriously hot and not without some surprises. It’s supposed to be one night of fun! Boy, is it fun and hot!
What’s great about this book, is you get to see all the issues and angst of being in a relationship and making this unconventional relationship work. The jealousy, the misunderstandings, the feelings of being a “third-wheel”, the feelings of not being worthy and then of course, their family issues.
