Amanda Graham inherited a rundown bed and breakfast, a starving cat, and some dead guy who’s buried in her garden! What should’ve been a simple remodeling project and a new business in a small Oregon beach town winds up with her uncle named as the number one murder suspect, a slew of odd neighbors and problematic townspeople, and Amanda wanting to just sit down and eat her weight in chocolate … her weight in chocolate pie.
Sure, she could pack her bags and travel back to LA…or should she dig in, heal from her failed romance, and find a whole new set of friends and adventures in Ravenwood Cove?
And how could a quiet little coastal village have so many secrets?
Includes the free recipe for Amanda’s (and the author’s) favorite cinnamon rolls. First novel in the Ravenwood Cove ebook series. Paperback and audiobook (with Whispersync) versions coming soon. Mild PG rating (because hey, there’s a dead guy in it).more
I enjoyed lt.It kept me interested and guessing.
It was enjoyable.
Lot’s of twists and turns like going back to why her Aunt and Uncle left in such a hurry. Loved how she redid the old Victorian house in to a bread and breakfast. When people tried to put up obstacles she moved forward. Enjoyed about finding body and the cat and new beginnings.
I truly enjoyed this book. It was easy to read but had a good plot that kept you guessing. The setting and characters were fun. I liked it so much that I bought the paperback version for my mother and aunt.
Surprise ending
A very enjoyable read.
I really like “cozy mysteries “ this book kept you guessing until the last few pages. I enjoyed the characters as well as the story.
Couldn’t put this one down. Great book!
Very quick ‘sweet’ read. I enjoyed the Oregon coast setting and the nice, cleanly written style.
This is my second book in the Ravenwood Cove mystery set and I have really enjoyed this series. Although I read the first two out of order, it was quite easy to put the two together and catch up on Amanda’s story. The characters are very well developed and the plot is not only believable but suspenseful. I look forward to read more of Carolyn Dean’s books.
I laugh my way through all of Ms. Dean’s books …
One of the better Cozy mysteries
Fun, quick read.
I really enjoyed this series. Carolyn L. Dean draws you in at page one. I highly recommend it.
It was a bit predictable. A nice quick read.
Charming characters in a nice little seaside location. Interesting plot that kept me engaged.
Great character development. Good story line. I want to read the next in the series. The story was better than the mystery itself, which wasn’t really the focus of the book–at least the mystery was not what most of the words were about.
Perseverance and creative spirit are the bywords of this heroine. A great read and a great ending.
This was a happy book. I like to see old buildings saved . I also Ike to see the police helping people all with a little mystery and romance
Light and enjoyable read but decent plot.
