PEACE AND QUIET CAN BE MURDER!Fiona Fleming had hoped inheriting her grandmother’s bed and breakfast and returning home to quiet Reading, VT would be a welcome escape from the city life in New York and her cheating ex-boyfriend. She figured the most excitement she’d face would be making beds, pesky customers and the awful stench coming from her grandmother’s ornery pug, Petunia. Instead, she … Instead, she finds herself elbow-deep in clogged toilets, the town blackmailer floating belly-up in her fish pond and she’s the prime suspect.
She’s soon looking for answers in the seedy-side of the tiny town and winds up in dangers she never even faced in the city. While she is surrounded with help from the odd cast of characters in this bizarre town, she’s not sure who she can trust. Her back-up, however, consists of her flighty yet fashionable childhood friend, her grandmothers nosy neighbor and her beloved father who seems to have secrets of his own. Then there’s the buried treasure she can’t figure out and how to get her mind off of how great the new sheriff’s backside looks in his uniform.
Can Fiona uncover the truth before the handsome sheriff puts her behind bars instead of asking her out?
Book 1 in the Fiona Fleming Cozy Mystery series!
Can be read as a standalone but will be enjoyed more as part of the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I had my suspects all along but this one got me. Never suspected the real culprit. Very good book.
I am a sucker for the cozy mystery, you know after a long day at work, lots of responsibility and sometimes stressful situations come with that I just want an easy read, cozy mystery’s fit that bill kind of like the Hallmark Channel does. Liked this book and the characters, surprise ending, this one got me. Note to the author though I can do without the dog’s flatulence problem…for gosh sakes feed the dog some better food or something cause it’s a real turnoff, and for me the mother of the main character referring to this gals father when speaking with her by his first name rather than saying your dad, your father just doesn’t fit with me. But all said and done it was a pretty good read and I would read more in a series with the main character.
I thought the plots and characters were well presented without giving everything away.
Cute story. Perfect beach or fireside read.
This was a nice little story, but I found the gastrointestinal attention lavished on the dog to be quite off-putting.
a lot going on. The end was a surprise.
Love the whimsical side, of these books, thanks for a cute ride, need more off the beaten path books. Has enough little twist to make it serious, yet enjoyable, thank you
Interesting new line of book series for me. I found the characters interesting although some could have been more fully developed. I didn’t have an inkling of who it was until about the same time our heroine did. Some of you may be b rainier than me, but I really like a book that I can’t figure out before the hero does. I
I think of this book as a light mystery, a murder in a small town, everyone knows everyone’s business. It’s funny.
Very nice and quick read, kept you interested and guessing right up to the end. Looking forward to more by this author.
This book starts out slowly but it is pretty entertaining. The plot is a little weak and the dog is one of the most interesting characters. This is a good beach read.
Nice mystery with no sadistic gore.
Fun book, will get more in the series
I love cozy mysteries
Nursing homes, bakery, dogs, mystery. All entwined to bring a quick good read.
This was a good book. Easy read and kept me wanting to know what was next. Will definitely look into the next book in the series.
Okay but probably won’t read anymore from this author. A little too random and uncohesive at times.
I liked it but there should be more dialogue.
would read again but have so many others to challenge that first time
Clever story surrounding a bed and breakfast. Did not foresee which bad guy was culprit, it kept me guessing.
