PEACE AND QUIET CAN BE MURDER!Fiona Fleming had hoped inheriting her grandmother’s bed and breakfast and returning home to quiet Reading, VT would be a welcome escape from the city life in New York and her cheating ex-boyfriend. She figured the most excitement she’d face would be making beds, pesky customers and the awful stench coming from her grandmother’s ornery pug, Petunia. Instead, she … Instead, she finds herself elbow-deep in clogged toilets, the town blackmailer floating belly-up in her fish pond and she’s the prime suspect.
She’s soon looking for answers in the seedy-side of the tiny town and winds up in dangers she never even faced in the city. While she is surrounded with help from the odd cast of characters in this bizarre town, she’s not sure who she can trust. Her back-up, however, consists of her flighty yet fashionable childhood friend, her grandmothers nosy neighbor and her beloved father who seems to have secrets of his own. Then there’s the buried treasure she can’t figure out and how to get her mind off of how great the new sheriff’s backside looks in his uniform.
Can Fiona uncover the truth before the handsome sheriff puts her behind bars instead of asking her out?

Pretty cool twist at the end! Neat characters!
It was a cozy read
Awful writing. Couldn’t connect with the main character.
Fun, funny, and it kept we guessing until the end.
Loved it!
Cute fun read and a twist at the end.
This was a cute little cozy, nice escape from the everyday world for an evening. A quick read.
So many reviews were negative based on the toilet preoccupation, but I thought that was a very unfair review. It was only mentioned in the first chapter, and I thought it was an interesting introduction to the book. I did get a little tired of hearing about the pug’s farting, but overall, it was s good book that I would recommend!
It keep me interested and wanted to get the end as soon as possible to see how it ended
I definitely thought I knew who dunnit. Didn’t see that coming.
Enjoyable fun read but suspenseful
Ok for a quick read.
It’s a good read, but the pace moves a bit slow for my liking at times.
Good read
Although it wasn’t the very best cozy mystery I have ever read, it came very close. It was not a “one and done” book. The author not only brought the mystery to a satisfactory conclusion, but hinted at more to come.
Really enjoyed this book. Realistically showed enteractions within a normal family. Characters were developed well.
And easy to read book in bed before going to sleep. For some reason, I enjoy reading books about B&Bs.
Bed and breakfast and murder was a nice read. The best was I really had no clue until the end who the culprit was and then it was a huge surprise !
Fiona was a character that I was drawn to quickly. She was real and practical, well until she got mad or curious. Her problems were believable and required some finesse.
The story kept me wanting to see what was going to happen next. Life in a small town was never funnier or more interesting. At times I really did laugh out loud.
I have read the whole series and enjoyed it very much.
