Wow, this book will keep you captivated, so follow along with the suspense, mystery, adventure, and finding what is the truth. Ana is a senior and because of a birthmark has been tormented by Skylar and her friends. Since her accident Ryland has been by her side. Christa her sister loves her dearly, but is very out going. Ana dreams of Hiddenkel were she talks to her sister and others. You will meet many characters and learn about them. So follow Ana’s journey in this first book about learning truths, herself, and why things were kept from her. You might be surprised on what you find out on this journey.
Ana is shocked when she loses Jeremy, and she feels responsible, even though there was nothing she could have done. She had already been suffering bullying from some girls from her school, so it made losing Jeremy even worse. Can Ana cope with all the things on her plate? Or will it be easier just to give in? I enjoyed this interesting journey that Ana needs to do, I liked her family and friends (although sometimes I was frustrated with her mother) and discovering some of the secrets of the past and potentially the future. I look forward to what happens next.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.
Who is the green-eyed boy and where is Hiddenkel?
Ana is consumed by guilt. She should have died in the accident, not her boyfriend Jeremy. At night, Ana visits Hiddenkel and a sister she has only known in her dreams. Ana is manifesting strange new powers. She suspects her mother is hiding something that might explain the feelings of danger that surround her.
I could not put this book down and I can’t wait to see where this series is going. My only complaint is the giant cliffhanger ending. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
It is eons later than in the first book. We are now to read the story of Ana and Jaden. Ana lives in the moral world. It is her mother, sister, and her. When she is 16, she is at a school dance and her date and her head home after once again suffering humiliation at the hands of her nemesis. They crash into a tree and he dies. Two years later, Ana is still having weird dreams but always the same people appear in them. She sees battles, a sister, Dreya, her mom, Crista, Dohlan, and other lands. They make absolutely no sense to her. Her mother is keeping secrets and it is frustrating her to no end. Ryland appeared after the accident two years previous. He has been training her to fight in multiple ways. Weird things keep happening to her. She has the ability to heal fast, hold her breath underwater for long periods, and is faster than others. Finally, she learns the truth of things and her journey is beginning~ Along with Jaden and Ry, they are searching for the way home, where she is princess. It is a battle of life and death in the mortal world and the one they seek. Will she make it? Will they all make it? What or who is waiting for her? This is the beginning of her journey to right the balance in all worlds. I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
