When everything begins to go right in your life, when the sun comes out to shine light on brand new beginnings, it may be a good idea pause and remember that not all good things last.
This amazing story will definitely put you on a roller coaster of emotions. The struggle of this young mind, trying to find her way through not only her own memories, but those of her family and best friend. Lies innocently with held, self discovery, dealing with other issues, and a whole gambit of other life affirming truths and sorrow. Kudos to Kristie on this beautiful story. Will anxiously await Sean’s side of this.
Melissa Moran wonderful job narrating.
Thank you Kristie for the Audiobooks, I probably would not have ever listened otherwise, YA is not my usual genre, but I’m glad I did.

BECOMING CHARLIE: PART TWO is the second book in the Becoming series. These must be read in the order of release.
This story tore me apart; one chapter at a time and it was worth every emotion invested.
So many times, bloggers write that a book was a roller coaster. I say every one of those was a mere kiddie ride in comparison to strapping into the monster that is BECOMING CHARLIE: PART TWO.
… and you know what, I’ll gladly strap in and scream “yee-haw” for the next roller coaster episode that author Kristie Haigwood brings us. I know she will tear me up and have me screaming, laughing, crying, and sighing as she bring true life in her words.
Narration: Melissa Moran is a consummate actress taking direction from the words of the author. If Charlie cried the words, then Melissa cried the words; if Sean spoke with hesitation, then so did Melissa. If you want to know how a narration should be done, listen to Melissa Moran!
Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Fantastic Story & Audible Listen! Mesmerizing & Heartfelt!
Becoming Charlie: Part Two
By: Kristie Haigwood
Narrated by: Melissa Moran
Series: Becoming Charlie, Book 2
Amazing sequel and conclusion to “Becoming Charlie”. This book is as beautifully written as the first. Kristie Haigwood’s storylines continue to be realistic and relatable. I adored Charlie and Sean in the first book, they are not perfect but they are perfectly themselves, trying to find their way. In this book we learn more about Charlie and Sean, their past, secrets are revealed, secrets that may threaten their relationship. These two were great together and for each other, I could not help but root for them and hope all worked out for them. I really liked Raven and her friendship with Charlie, also liked the back and forth banter she had with Sean, the name calling and references were hilarious. I highly recommend “Becoming Charlie” parts 1 & 2, they are one of the best YA novels I have had the pleasure to enjoy. There is never a dull moment and they have all the feels, you can tell how much heart the author put into her story. Kristie Haigwood thank you for another awesome story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I loved your “message from the author” great way to open eyes and bring awareness. I am looking forward to Sean’s book and POV, he has a brilliant mind. Would love to see Raven get her own book too.
I listened to Audible edition, narrated by the mega talented Melissa Moran. She continues to bring these characters and their stories to life from the pages to your ears. She performs the voices of all the characters, gives each their own distinct voice and personality. She projects the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into her performance. She is always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen

This story picks up shortly after part one ends with Charlie going to Sean’s dad’s house. While she’s there she starts having dreams that she’s not sure are dreams or memories prior to the car accident that killed her brother. Once she realizes they are memories, she runs back home as she’s angry that everyone has been lying to her. She finally accepts the reasons behind not being told the truth, and her world gets turned on end again when she comes home one evening to find 2 military men at her house.
It’s one heartbreak or tragedy after another throughout this entire story, but I couldn’t stop listening. This story brings forth all kinds of things that are seen every day. This story will make you cry while making you even more aware of difficult life situations. Even though you spend a good portion of this story in tears over everything that all of the characters have to face, this is an awesome story. The epilogue does have you laughing & the story ends with an HEA.

This story picks up where book one left off. I feel it’s important to letter readers know that you should read book one first, or you may find yourself confused. Most people scoff at young love, stating a person can’t possibly fall in love at a young age. I know this isn’t true. And while it rarely happens, it is possible to find your soul mate in your teens. The author does a good job of showing the pitfalls of young love, especially when there are obstacles such as Sean’s mental health and Charlie’s inability to remember and deal with the past. I found the back and forth blaming, and the “I need a little more time before I reveal my big secret” to be a little drawn out, but overall it was a great story. I loved that the author brought up the effects of mental health disorders on family and friends because so many times it is overlooked. Most treatment centers on the afflicted, not the pain of those afflicted upon. There are programs such as AL anon for family of recovering addicts, but rarely does the agony of the family of patients suffering from mental health get addressed. Thumbs up Kristie for helping to raise awareness. The narration was great. The reader delivers a clean, clear, and entertaining performance. I highly recommend this series. It would probably be more enjoyable to teens and younger adults, though I’m middle aged and loved it. Thank you, Kristie for offering a free review copy of this audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I wasn’t disappointed diving into book two. More answered questions were revealed. More secrets were hidden and discovered.
These two will really pull at your heartstrings! It sure had a great mix of emotions. I loved all these characters and how the book played out. How realistic most parts were. It all gave a deeper meaning to the reader.
Side note: I have to admit, you almost lost me at the “authors notes” only because I thought the book had ended there. I was thrilled when it didn’t end. This duet was well written and extremely enjoyable. I look forward to Sean’s version.

Real life comes often with tragic experiences.
Some are irreversible. Others can be strengthening. It helps greatly if one has a supportive family and friends. Often though even getting to a point where we accept that help seems impossible. Don’t give up on those suffering. Every one saved is worth our efforts and love.

A wonderful ending to this sweet soulmate romance. I really enjoyed the characters and everything they overcame to be with each other. The story dealt with betrayal, romance, mistakes and most of all the power of forgiveness and love.

I thought that when I read Becoming Charlie book one that I was positive book two could not be as good. But boy was I wrong!! So much love, loss , anger, sadness, joy and more feelings that I could hardly believe but it was all there. I was grabbed from the very beginning and could not put it down. I was almost in tears after reading about Charlie’s father but when I read about her father attacking her I was crying. I had to keep reading, there was no way in heck that I wasn’t putting my kindle down. The actions of One man, who tried to ruin the life of so many others, was stopped by those who loved Charlie. I admit that I wanted to hit Sean’s Dad so many times and glad my thoughts were the same as others. I love happy endings and you write the best ones Ms.Haigwood

Welcome back to Eden high , its the summer before their senior year . Charlie is about to embark on a summer of work and Sean . When she is thrown for a loop with her new friend Raven and trying to get Sean to fall in love with her . There are memories that come back and secrets that need to come to light . Will they be strong enough to weather the things to come to come back to each other
I must say that I am loving Charlie and Sean . Charlie actually really grew up in this book . She becomes a teen ager and does teen ager things . Like party and having fun . But there is a sadness still with her and you still want to wrap her up in a warm blanket and hug her . She really does some growing up in this book . I truly love who she is becoming even when she has a set back she is still lovable . Sean has some set backs and I really kind of wanted to slap him upside the head a few times for being such a jerk . He also does some growing up in this book . You will either love him or really hate him through out this book . Now Raven well she is the resident bad girl but yet you see a sweet girl that wants to be part of something and has so many trust issues that will have you loving her even though she is the devil on Charlie’s shoulder a few times . They become such good friends that you will cheer for them also .
Ok I am going to say something here I liked the first book but I honestly loved this book . The author took us on such an emotional journey that had me laughing one moment and the had my heart ripping to shreds in another moment . There is a few tough scenes to read that will have you crying your eyes out . We do deal with the after effects of war and PTSD . That will break your heart when you read them . The author does handle the scenes with dignity and a sensitivity that it deserves . This is a book that both adults and teens would love to read , The characters just keep getting better and the story is so believable cause we know we have all been there being in invisible and just wanting to be part of the crowd . High school is always a pain and we all got through it . Family is another big part of this book . The dysfunctional family and the family that you need when the chips fall and all you can do is hold yourself together . So if you want a series that you will love this is the series for you . I can’t wait to see if the author writes more books with the rest of the characters . We need to hear Raven’s back story . hint hint .

I honestly can’t get enough of Sean and Charlie’s story! This second book goes into depth the background of both characters and also gets down to the nitty gritty of their romance/relationship. As the book title says She really does become Charlie! I caught myself crying several times throughout this book but I loved every minute. This book and the first part push real world issues that some of us may be going through. It is a must read for young adults, their parents, and adults alike.

I am going to regret reading past 4 a.m. With two little ones in the house. Good thing I have my own version of Sean sleeping next to me. Sean and Charlie captured my heart immediately, I used to think he came on too strong and I feared for Charlie’s mental health esp putting myself in Victoria’s shoes as a mom. Boy was I wrong should have known after reading all of K.S Haigwood that she would spin the story in a totally different way than I expected. Never predict an ending of any of her stories. You will be wrong! Strong character development, solid plot, emotional rollercoaster, relatable scenes and real life situations. Another solid 5 stars from me.”
