ANNA’S LIFE CHANGES FOREVER ON ONE HORRIFIC NIGHT WHEN SHE IS ASSAULTED AND LEFT FOR DEAD.
Anna Marquette has everything to live for. Her daughters are in college and, with the support of Paul, her loving husband, she is pursuing her dream of a career in counseling. Then one night, while on a trip to Orlando, the unimaginable happens. She takes a “short cut” to an evening out with Paul and is … Paul and is brutally assaulted.
When Anna suspects the attack has left her pregnant, her faith is put to the test. As Anna and her family confront the heart-wrenching decisions that lie ahead, Anna gradually comes to realize that God has a plan for her and that she must trust Him. But will her family accept the choice she makes? Will her husband’s love for her prevail? And will her marriage survive this ultimate test?
“Because of the Rain” is a powerful story that will keep you on the edge of your chair waiting to find out what happens next.

Didn’t finish this book. Too real for me.
Very good read! Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it.
Weaves a powerful story about “what would you do”. Very well done
Very thought provoking about an extremely sensitive issue
Loved the characters and the honesty of thoughts and emotions expressed. Made me stop and evaluate my feelings and how much I would put my trust in God in the same situation.
An excellent book. The characters are very realistic they went through all the emotions from fear, anger, guilt to acceptance and forgiveness. It is a very good witness to the sanctity of life without being preachy. It shows the struggles Anna and her husband both went through making the decision they did. Also showed the importance of love, friendship and family.
Well written, show your faith, enjoyed story, hold your intetest
I wasn’t able to handle the subject matter at the time. I didn’t finish the book.
This was very realistic story told with great character development. Excellent portrayal of the struggles Christians may face and one appropriate way to deal with them. So much better than the very sensual books that mention God’s name a few times and may have a character say a few meaningless words and call it praying.
This was a beautiful thought provoking, inspirational read. It is one of those books that will stay with you and replay in the recesses of your mind, Excellently written! Read only if you are willing to ponder and possibly stretch your understanding.
Very well written book that has a happy ending despite the beginning of the story. The characters remained strong despite the challenges of their situation and I felt that they were a good example to their community.
This was a cliff hanger, but it was a page turner for me. I really enjoyed this book.
I love Christian novels about kind, moral people that make good choices and overcome difficulties in their lives. This book fits the bill!
Very moving story and very well written. Could not put it down until I was done.
I enjoyed the book, happy for the perspective it puts on things. Happy also that while all worked out in the end; it did so realistically and not in some sappy, God makes everything right beyond reason and imagination way.
Real-life situations with all the anger, turmoil and fear created by unexpected and life-changing events. This story raises questions about faith, but answers them in an affirming and beautiful way. A great read!
It was too YAY God HE will work it out… people don’t trust God that easily before they are really put through some rough stuff… God tests our faith… and the test doesn’t always … hardly ever works out as cheesy as the book made it out to be… it was too fake and not realistic of the Christian struggle
This book was totally different than what I expected. So frightening to think someone’s life changes in an instant. It was good that this couple had such a strong faith. Most would not have come through this experience so well.
I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to see how it all came out.
The title had absolutely nothing to do with the book.
Loved it
Great book
