“Because of the Rain” is a powerful story that will keep you on the edge of your chair waiting to find out what happens next.

THANKFUL TO FIND A BOOK THAT DEALS WITH PREGNANCY AFTER RAPE, & ABORTION. THOUGH FICTION, IT DEPICTS THE DILEMMA OF REAL INCIDENTS.
It was realistically written. How such a traumatic event can effect your life.
Surprising outcomes, tragic circumstances, heartbreaking decisions. I felt what the characters were going through so much that I dreamed about the situations as happening to me.
It deals with the struggle of a pregnancy due to rape. The decision is made to carry the child to term and then put it up for adoption. Then there’s the added dimension when it’s discovered that the rapist is of another race. That issue is also dealt with satisfactorily and courageously.
I didn’t see the final choice coming.
I have already written a review.I liked this book .The author took a terrible situation and showed how God can make it lovely. It was well written and kept my interest from beginning to end.
Character development was excellent. The problem was realistic and resolved with the growth in grace of the main characters. It showed marriage as a bond that will not, should not be broken even when life throws you a major curve ball. The couple learns to love and serve one another as they depend on the grace of God in an unthinkably hard situation. I highly recommend this book. Good read!
I could not put this book down!! It kept my attention and I was totally engulfed in the story! Love, love, loved it!!!!
Handled a difficult moral question well from a Christian world view.
This was one of the best novels that I’ve read recently. The struggles the couple went through were very realistic as was their faith in God. If you’re considering adoption, or have adopted a child, this is a must read. Definitely have the tissues handy.
She must have talked to someone who has been through this ordeal to tell so convincingly the struggles. Great show of the realistic struggles of abortion.
I enjoyed the story and the message that it has.
What a woman who has been raped goes through.
Standing by your convictions and beliefs is very difficult sometimes but turning things over to God gives you answers when you need them.
lovely real characters going through an unthinkable trauma and trusting God where most of us wouldn’t. Nice read. Read in one sitting
Great story of redeeming grace& courage to do the right thing in difficult times. God knows the plans He has for each of us.
Really enjoyed this book about a tragic situation!! Loved the characters, how they struggled but listened to God and His Plan before they made some very hard decisions!! Loved their perseverance and I cried through a few parts, that were so heartwrenching and others that were so heartwarming! Will read more of Deb Raney’ s books!!
A thoughtful approach to a sticky situation, that of a pregnancy caused by rape. Very well done!
Wow! The writing is powerful and the storyline even more so. I was spellbound from the beginning until the end.
Every woman’s nightmare. Well-written and believable.
