ANNA’S LIFE CHANGES FOREVER ON ONE HORRIFIC NIGHT WHEN SHE IS ASSAULTED AND LEFT FOR DEAD.
Anna Marquette has everything to live for. Her daughters are in college and, with the support of Paul, her loving husband, she is pursuing her dream of a career in counseling. Then one night, while on a trip to Orlando, the unimaginable happens. She takes a “short cut” to an evening out with Paul and is … Paul and is brutally assaulted.
When Anna suspects the attack has left her pregnant, her faith is put to the test. As Anna and her family confront the heart-wrenching decisions that lie ahead, Anna gradually comes to realize that God has a plan for her and that she must trust Him. But will her family accept the choice she makes? Will her husband’s love for her prevail? And will her marriage survive this ultimate test?
“Because of the Rain” is a powerful story that will keep you on the edge of your chair waiting to find out what happens next.

It was difficult to stop reading it.
Great story of strong faith
I love this book for the impact it can have on our world right now. It addresses all the issues with abortion and does it with a wonderful sense of grace. These issues are hard, nothing about the situation is easy, but it shows, clearly, that the Lord has His hand in all things. It brought to mind things I had never thought about…
Love it. Good story.hardyo put down.
Great story…love that this was an interesting, original read that was CLEAN and no bad language. It’s hard to find these days…thank you!
Heart wrenching, thought provoking, and true to the times we live in.
It was easy to put myself in their place and wonder would I have done the same.
I thought this book gave very good insight into the emotional, spiritual, physical problems of carrying a baby as a result of rape. The internal struggles, the struggles with your spouse, your other children were vividly and honestly portrayed. However, I was able to guess the ending about 3/4 of the way into the book but that did not hinder me from wanting to finish, being caught up with the main character’s test of faith. God makes a way when there seems to be no way.
Very realistic regarding emotions/ issues referrable to rape and resultant pregnancy for woman as well as effects on husband.
Excellent book
Loved it!1
Absolutely awesome a real tear jerker
I really enjoyed this book. It showed how faith and love can guide you through tragic problems and in the end give you blessings
Very thought provoking and hard to read. I almost quit reading midway because it was difficult emotionally. Worthwhile.
Amazing book!
I would read it again !!
I appreciated the characters in a very difficult situation, making the right choice and being dependent on The Lord.
I loved this book because of its strong pro-life message. It deals with the issue of pregnancy from rape, and I feel that is is realistic in the struggle and pain involved in decisions in this situation, and in showing how God is faithful even in the darkest hour.
I like anything she writes.
This was a very inspirational book with real-life trauma. A few typos…
Realistically showed the thought processes and faith in dealing with a very difficult situation. Very well written.
