Difficult situation delicately and compassionately told. I loved it. I listened to the audio version, and the narrator was terrific.
A heartwarming, uplifting story that will keep you turning the pages!
Seemed so realistic. Bad things do happen to good, Godly people. God helps us through the bad times WHEN we turn towards Him and not AWAY from Him. This book is very good example of how the Holy Spirit of God exchanges ashes for beauty.
This book handled a very delicate situation with feeling and compassion. A book I couldn’t put down and one I won’t forget for a long time.
I appreciated the realistic depiction of emotions revealed by the characters. This made me really examine how an entire family is affected by violence committed against one of it’s members. Severe trauma can truly strengthen or break a family.
I Loved this book. It read in a soft gentle way which was such a nice way to address a difficult subject. I felt the tenderness that the characters had for each other. I would definitely recommend it.
An excellent book, full of sadness and joy. Christ centered.
What could happen did happen and tested the beliefs of all.
A beautiful job covering a very difficult situation! Very well done.
This book was awesome
Love books that play out scriptures
This was a great read. It was inspirational! Their decisions were based on scripture. It revealed how God can make something good out of bad situations and bring glory to His name.
A very well written story that is inspriational and powerful. Deborah Raney does an excellent job addressing rape and the choises that are made. It shows love and forgiveness and how the Holy Spirit works though their lifes. I have read other books by this author and never disappointed.
This was one of the most powerful books I read by Deborah Raney. Highly recommended.
This book challenged much of today’s thinking about rape and children of rape. The characters came alive with their deep feelings about all they were experiencing. You felt the depths and the joys. I sensed the ever presence of God directing the outcomes.
This is an inspiring novel of faith. I loved every part of the book. The secrecy in the story left me in a place I wasn’t sure about. Was keeping the secret the right thing to do? The Christian thing? I just don’t know.
Good read and dealt with difficult situation head on….thought provoking and sensitive.
Great lessons to be learned from this story.
This was very thought provoking and really makes you think about living out your beliefs.
Anna experiences the unthinkable. As she struggles to recover she is blindsided by a women’s greatest fear. Well written.
