One brief mistake. A world of hurt. No panties. No problem. At least until I slip on the wet floor and go heels over head in front of my colleagues and half the courthouse. Returning to consciousness can’t be more awkward, until I find out who my sexy, argumentative, and bossy knight in shining armor really is. My career may not survive my beaver blunder, and my heart might not survive Owen Grant. might not survive Owen Grant.
Madeleine Ryan tumbles into my life on a wave of perfume and public embarrassment. She falls and exposes herself in front of me, and I find myself falling for her despite the fact she fights me every chance she gets. Being a woman in a good ol’ boy profession demands a certain brashness, but it definitely has me thinking, maybe litigators shouldn’t be lovers.
With stressful jobs and big attitudes, going commando has never been so freeing.

“Just keep your legs crossed, Madeline. Keep ‘em crossed.”
Beaver Blunder is the third novel in Gwyn McNamee’s Scandalous Slip series. I have laughed till I had tears running down my face. I have yelled at my kindle, and the characters as if they were right in front of me. This novel, as well as the other two before it, completely overtook my life for a few hours and I loved every minute of it.
“Of all days to run out of clean underwear… It’s only the biggest trial of my career.”
The concept is we are humans. And in being humans we make mistakes. The most brutal ones often come with some hilarious moments and memories that will forever be with us, or haunt us, depending on how you look at it lol. In Beaver Blunder we meet Madeline. On the most important day of her career she just happens to be fresh out of clean underwear. No problem as long as she has a little grace right? Yeah, she doesn’t have any grace, what-so-ever!
“Slipped.”
“Fell.”
“Skirt up.”
“No underwear.”
“Vagina.”
“So embarrassing.”
Madeline never thought she would see Owen Grant, a fellow attorney who just happens to witness her most embarrassing moment of her life. Problem is, Owen is thinking about the beautiful Madeline long after that initial meet up. Owen has a personality that promises to set off Madeline in all the ways that would normally turn her off of a guy. But fate has different plans for the two. It is a hot and steamy, and HILARIOUS, story of how they get from this one embarrassing moment to the very end of the book. I can’t wait to see what is to come next from Gwyn!
“Lord Almighty, it’s positively sinful.”
I loved this book. It was an insta love story. It was funny, and romantic. I loved that Maddie stood her ground and succeeded in a male dominated career. I loved Owen was patient with her, but gave her a sounding board. I loved that all of the characters are connected.
I just knew this series would be full of laughs and smexy times, and I. Was. Not. Wrong!!!
Beaver Blunder – Free the beaver! OMG, this book was so damn funny! Maddie going ass over elbow and finding herself quite exposed kicked off another serious laugh-out-loud book in this series! I loved that Owen saw more than just her nether regions and actually found the real Maddie within – smart, spunky but tired of the good ol’ boys battle. Great final book in this super sexy and funny series!
I love this one in some parts was funny and sad but I finished this and the other 2books with in a week that how much I love your books gwen
adored the humor shared between Owen and Maddie.
After Maddie’s fall, Owen isn’t sure why he cares, just that he does. That leads to some pretty clever jokes and fun in the bedroom. This was the perfect ending to this series!
Beaver Blunder by Gwyn McNamee
Five Stars
Beaver Blunder is the third book in the Slip Series by Gwyn McNamee. I have to say, this is my favorite book in this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend that you read them all because they are all Five Stars. This is Madeline and Owen’s story. This fast read had me laughing out loud. It is just a feel good romance that flowed from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what Ms. McNamee has in store for us next.
Beaver Blunder: (A Scandalous Slip Story) is the third book in The Slip Series by Gwyn McNamee and is a romantic comedy. It is the story about a young woman who is a criminal defense attorney whose name is Madeline “Maddie” Ryan. Maddie is running late to a very important court case for which she is the lead counsel, but because it’s pouring rain and the traffic is a horrible. Maddie has gone without wearing underwear under her skirt that day for the first time ever, when she slips and falls in the hallway of the courthouse on the wet floors, banging her head on the floor and causing her skirt to ride up and her vagina to be exposed to anyone who saw her fall. Because Maddie hit her head on the hard floor she passed out for a minute or two, and when she regains consciousness she has blurred vision and a terrible headache, and she is also extremely embarrassed because she knows that people are whispering around her because of her exposed vagina. Maddie is also flustered because a very handsome man named Owen Grant was the one who pulled her skirt down since he was the only person to try to help her, and he also called the paramedics. The paramedics put a cervical collar around her neck and then transported her to the hospital because Maddie could have a broken neck and has all of the symptoms of a concussion. Owen is a civil trial attorney, who just happens to be the best friend of Maddie’s best friend, Riley Boswell’s boyfriend, Tate Decker. Maddie is angry with Owen because he says to her, “Sweetheart, you need to keep that beautiful ass down until the paramedics get here.”, which she feels makes him a jerk since he calls her “sweetheart”, and he mentions her “ass”. Maddie is very upset because she won’t be in court that day which means that she has to postpone her ability to defend her client, and also her reputation as a “badass super lawyer”.
After Maddie is sent to the hospital Owen can’t seem to get her off of his mind. Later that day he goes to the hospital to see how she’s doing, but Maddie seems very upset to see him. He tells her that she probably shouldn’t go to court the next day since he knows that she definitely has been diagnosed with a concussion. Since Owen played soccer in high school and college, and had several concussions himself, he knows the pain that Maddie must be in, that she may have double or blurred vision, and that she may have a hard time concentrating, and he also knows that these symptoms could last for a few weeks. Maddie’s first reaction when Owen expresses his opinion about the fact that she shouldn’t go to work the next day is to think that he is trying to tell her what to do. Owen explains that if she tries to act as counsel to a defendant during a trial while she has those symptoms, and the defendant is found guilty at the end of the trial, that she could be found to have given ineffective assistance of counsel on appeal. Maddie feels that she has nothing to lose since she thinks that her career is probably over with
anyway. When Owen learns that she is THE Maddie who got Riley and Tate together, he is shocked. Owen had heard from Tate that Maddie was a ball-buster and a spitfire, and that she was beautiful, too, and he is just surprised that the Maddie that he helped is the same person who is the best friend of Riley. He also feels that Maddie is being harsh when she practically kicks him out of her hospital room so that she can make phone calls. Will Maddie and Owen ever be able to become better acquainted with one another since they have so much in common? Will they ever get over their misconceptions of one another?
I really liked this novel by Gwyn McNamee. She has written a really good romantic comedy that has strong characters in interesting story lines. I would like to read the first two books in this series, too. I recommend this book to people who enjoy a good romantic comedy.
Beaver Blunder is the third novel in the Scandalous Slip series by Gwyn McNamee. This is my sixth novel by this author.
Madeline Ryan slips on wet floor while on the way to the courtroom. Unfortunately, she isn’t wearing any underwear.
“Slipped.” “Fell.” “Skirt up.” “No underwear.” “Vagina.” “So embarrassing.” “Is she okay?”
She has her embarrassing moment in front of Owen Grant.
But the two of them have a long way to go before Madeline gives in to her feelings for him.
I am so loving this series. I love this author and anything she writes I have to read.
I loved the plot of this. It was so different and the way it was written was so funny and felt realistic.
I hope there is another one in this series and I loook forward to this author’s next book.
Beaver Blunder is the third book in the Scandalous Slip series by Gwyn McNamee. I loved this book and the entire series. What happened to Maddie could have happened to anyone, but the way it happened and how it all ended up was great.
I know I snorted at least once which was kind of embarrassing since I was at work, but then I got to thinking how much worse it could have been if I had been Maddie.
Great story and a quick but entertaining read. Not the first series I have read by Ms. McNamee and it won’t be the last.
Beaver Blunder
A Scandalous Slip
Story 3
The Slip Series
By Gwyn McNamee
This is a short story, that is loaded with fun. A romance if you will.
Madeline Ryan is a lawyer. She has worked very hard to prove herself in a man’s world. On a rainy day, Madeline slips and falls. Exposing herself to everyone in the courthouse. Now her job has gotten much harder and this could be her downfall. She is embarrassed and angry as she must take time off work. Setting her schedule behind.
Owen Grant, good looking and also a lawyer. Just happens to see Mads fall. Runs to her rescue. He covers her up and gets help, as she has bumped her head pretty hard. Anyway he stays with her until the paramedics get there. Then checks on her at the hospital, only to get yelled at by her. Now he can’t get her off his mind.
Gwyn McNamee has added to her Slip series. What a great story about life. We never know when we too will challenge ourselves with embarrassing falls. Her characters are no exception, to falls and blunders just as we are. Well written and fast paced. This story gets right down to business, and gets the story going. I loved all 3 books in this series. Makes me feel like some of my falls are quite normal. LOL. Way to get it done Gwyn McNamee!
Beaver Blunder by Gwyn McNamee is the third book in her Scandalous Slip series. Filled with as much humour as the first two books this is one you won’t want to miss.
Going commando is t something Madeline ever thought would be an issue. After all people do it all the time. Except Madeline never imagine she might slip and knock herself unconscious, leaving herself exposed for the world to see.
The last thing Owen expected was to see more of Madeline in the courthouse than normal. And yet that is exactly what happens. Despite the circumstance Owen finds himself falling for her, even if she does insist on fighting the attraction every chance she gets.
Maybe with them both being lawyers it will be too much for one relationship. Or maybe their argumentative side is exactly what they need to keep things spicy.
As with the rest of the series I loved this book. It had me laughing out loud at the antics of the characters, while it still had me engaged in the story. The writing style if this author never fails to grab my attention. I cannot wait to see what she does next.
Beaver Blunder by Gwyn McNamee is the third book in her Scandalous Slip Series and this is probably my favorite book from this series . Following the story of Madeline Ryan and Owen Grant on probably the most embarrassing day of Madeline’s life to date. Madeline is a criminal attorney who in a rush runs to work at the courthouse without any knickers on which wasn’t a problem until a slippery floor has her giving away all of her secrets to an entire courtroom. Owen watches to fateful tumble, but when he attempts to help Madeline cover up before paramedics get there he is drawn to something about her above the belt. Madeline is dying of embarrassment, and attempts to rebuff Owen but she can’t seem to keep her mind off of him. When Madeline is carted off to the hospital to make sure she is okay, she thinks she will never see Owen again, but she thought wrong. Owen, who is a civil attorney can’t stop thinking about Madeline and wanting to know more about her. When he finally decides to go to the hospital to check on her he knows that he can’t let her go. The antics that ensue takes this story on a great journey that will both heat you up and have you laughing until you cry. McNamee is an old favorite of mine, and this series is must buy for anyone looking to jump into her catalog of books. If you are looking for a funny, scandalous and romantic story, nay series, than this is one that you need to add to your reading list today! I can’t wait to see where this series goes and what McNamee brings to her readers in the future.
Book 3 of the Scandalous Slip Stories is a must read just like the rest. Beaver Blunder can be read as a stand a lone but you really need to read the other two because they are amazing!
Beaver Blunder is an easy quick read, and page turning humor. I literally couldn’t control the laughter.
I am so sad this series has come to an end.
Its the perfect beach read and you can certainly read it in one sitting.
***I would recommend to mature audiences only***
Beaver Blunder is a stand-alone short story & book 3 in Gwyn McNamee’s Scandalous Slip series & once again she did not disappoint! When an accident causes lawyer Madeline Ryan to display her privates to most of the court, A fellow attorney named Owen Does come to her rescue & helps to cover her up. They find a hot connection outside of there and things begin to heat up. This was a short and sweet little read and I’ve loved all the books I’ve read so far by the author! I look forward to more of theses short stories!
Beaver Blunder is book three in the Scandalous Slipup series by Gwyn McNamee. It is yet another hilarious and sexy short story by an edgy author that is not afraid to change it up and create stories that are unforgettable. There are so many facets to these stories it is hard to put into words just how powerful and entertaining they are. Each character is one of a kind, and even though the storylines highlight some of the more embarrassing moments in these characters lives, each one is unique and offer a reader so much more than the standard rom com. I cannot get enough of these types of stories.
Madeline and Owen kept me awake and dreaming them when I slept. These characters will stay in my heart and mind always. 5 stars

5 out of 5 stars
The story Beaver Blunder: (A Scandalous Slip Story #3) (The Slip Series) is a short romantic book that I loved reading from beginning to end. I loved the characters of Madeline Ryan and Owen Grant. Madeline is a lawyer working in a male-dominated field where she has found she has to have a thick armor around herself. One slip/accident has caused her a lot of embarrassment. It has also gained her the attention of Owen. Although he doesn’t understand why he finds himself drawn to Madeline the woman who he rescues and can’t stop thinking/worrying about her. The attraction that these two have for each other is undeniable. Will this attraction lead to something more between them? This is a fast-paced romance with scenes that are hot and steamy. The temperature in the room will definitely rise. It is a well-written story that I enjoyed so much that I read it all in one sitting. I know I would be mortified if anything like what happened to Madeline happened to me. The story will make you smile and have you turning pages to find out if Madeline and Owen have a future together.

Beaver Blunder is the third book in The Slip series by Gwyn McNamee. This series has been such a refreshing and fun reading experience. This is a series of romantic comedies- where all the stories are all original, very humorous, witty, incredibly HOT and steamy. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, so my expectations for this book were quite high. Ms. McNamee didn’t disappoint and has once again delivered a fantastic story that I devoured in one very easy sitting.
Madeline Ryan is a criminal attorney who is rushing to court one morning and slips on the wet floor. She ends up on the floor with her skirt up over her head, on the one day she isn’t wearing underwear. Embarrassing. Mortifying. This will make her the talk of the courthouse and may ruin not only her reputation, but also her career. The one person who comes to her aid is infuriatingly bossy and incredibly sexy.
Owen Grant is a civil attorney who happens to be at the courthouse when a beautiful woman takes a fall on the slippery floors. He can’t help feeling concern for her, especially under the circumstances. She comes off as abrasive and feisty. But he sees through her prickly armour and won’t let her push him away. What ensues make for wonderfully funny, romantic and very sexy reading.
Ms. McNamee and her stories are definitely on my one-click list. I cannot recommend her, or her work, highly enough!!
I really looking forward to seeing what she does next!
Thank You, Ms. McNamee!
Beaver Blunder- first off, what a hilarious title! It’s kind of a quickie of a story, I read it in a day. It’s humorous and hot. Poor Madeline takes a tumble and flashes her lady bits in the courthouse. That’s how she meets Owen, who ironically they have best friends in common with. However, Maddie sure has her defenses up and isn’t very nice to him for quite awhile. And he isn’t easily deterred. This story was amusing, entertaining, dirty, just plain enjoyable. Part of the Scandalous Slip series, it can be read as a stand alone, has dual pov, and a happy ever after.
Beaver Blunder by Gwen McNamee is the third book in the Scandalous Slip series and is a quick, easy and funny read. This romantic comedy is scandalous and you will have a smile on your face and laughing out loud from start to finish. Madeline Ryan has fought hard to get where she is in a cut throat mans world, but one spill could change all that. She knows that she has to pull up her big girl panties and carry on as if she is not the laughing stock of the moment. This one read that no one and I mean no one should miss.

This series is seriously cracking me up, I was rolling just a few pages into this one with tears I was laughing so hard.
I think this author is awesome, I’ve read most of her books and plan to change that most to all very soon. She can write a book that is more serious and I’m on the edge of my seat or she can write ones like this one that makes me almost fall off my seat from laughing. I love the interaction between the characters and also loved having those from the other two books make appearances in this one as well.
I am not even going to go into this storyline because it needs to just be read without knowing what is going to transpire.
The only negative I have about this book is that it ended too soon, I could read this style of writing all day every day and if you haven’t tried any of this authors books Seriously? What are you waiting for..She is amazing!!
Can’t wait to see what she comes out with next..
Simply Amazing!!
