The delicious and erotically charged sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, from the author of Beauty’s Kingdom. This sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, the first of Anne Rice’s (writing as A.N. Roquelaure) elegantly written volumes of erotica, continues her explicit, teasing exploration of the psychology of human desire. Now Beauty, having indulged in a secret and forbidden … a secret and forbidden infatuation with the rebellious slave Prince Tristan, is sent away from the Satyricon-like world of the Castle. Sold at auction, she will soon experience the tantalizing punishments of “the village,” as her education in love, cruelty, dominance, submission, and tenderness is turned over to the brazenly handsome Captain of the Guard. And once again Rice’s fabulous tale of pleasure and pain dares to explore the most primal and well-hidden desires of the human heart. Preceding the visceral eroticism of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey and Sylvia Day’s Bared to You, and even more haunting than her own novel Belinda, this second installment is not to be missed.

I truly enjoyed this series of books. They are all a little twisted and maybe so am I because now I am a fan of the dark romance erotic books.
Disgusting perversion of a beloved fairy tale. Spare your mind the banal writing and sordidly uninteresting story..
Predictable and boring.
Excellent erotica!
This book is nor for the faint of heart. This is pretty hard core BDSM. If you are not really, really into the punishment factor, and how that might or might not inspire some twisted love, these books might not be for you.
I love Anne Rice and own/read all of her books, but these are just not my cup of tea. Give me Witches, Angels, Taltos, Demons and Vampires.
I read this book years ago and I don’t remember much about it but I didn’t like the premise of the story.
One of her great erotic writings. Better to read them in order.
Beauty’s Punishment is the second book in Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty trilogy, Let’s just say that Anne goes where some fear to tread. This book covers Beauty journey down to the village where he life and that of the other slaves are once again push to the limits. Yes, I fully understand that some will not have liked some aspects of this book, but you need to put your mindset away before starting this is fiction and not what every would be seen in RL. If you are unable to just let, go of what we take as normal then maybe these books are not for you. I read these books when Anne first published them and gave enjoyed rereading them.
This is the 2nd book in the Sleeping Beauty Quartet. And I am at the mercy of the final page in every one. It’s as erotic and exciting as the first. With every new book the pages seem fly by faster and faster. I find myself in an agonizing pause until I get to the next book and deeper into the dark eroticism and white hot pleasure experienced within the covers of this book as well as the rest. If you are in need of something a little more than juicy and wanting something unspoken and almost forbidden then this is the series for you.
Hot! Hot! Hot & kinky!
Read and loved the first book in the series. This didn’t disappoint. Interesting twist for Ann rice.
An interesting twist on the fairy tale.
Good for some. I couldnt get into this.
A poor story from beginning to end. A complete waste of time.
Soft porn!
Very strange. Erotic.
This is definitely BDSM so beware! I have read Shades of Grey which was just okay (wouldn’t waste my time on the others in the series) but this foray into BDSM is much more imaginative. Anne Rice is a very descriptive author and really brings scenes in her books to life in your imagination. Can’t say I would want to live in this “fairy tale” but it definitely is better written than any other “Adult” book I have read.
Not really my cup of tea. It is well written, but I couldn’t get into it. I must note that I haven’t read the first book (or two). That might have made a huge difference.
I can’t believe Anne Rice wrote this.
