“You’re crazy,” Rose said. “He knows, of all people, how I feel about love.” “And he is the one person, of all people, who is determined to get past the barriers you have in your heart.” Rose shook her head. “He won’t.” Rose, the Princess of Rhone, doomed to fall into a sleeping death on her eighteenth birthday, has only ever wanted two things in all her life: to be free of her curse, and to … her curse, and to never fall in love. After securing the dragon’s blood from the Serpent’s Garden, Rose is confident she has all she needs to free herself from Magdalina’s curse. But when Magdalina comes to offer Rose a new deal—one that would free her from her curse, while also eliminating future threats—Rose is forced to confront the truth of her feelings for Theo.
As Theo’s past and new troubles interrupt their journey back to Rhone, Rose knows she must make a devastating choice. Will she let herself fall in love? Or will she break her own heart instead?
This novella series is an expanded retelling of the Sleeping Beauty, with new characters, new plot twists, and plenty of action and adventure, perfect for teen and young adult historical fantasy readers. Look for the conclusion of this saga in “Beauty’s Gift.”

Now Rose has her Dragons Blood, but her quest isn’t complete. The curse can be removed but now Magdalena is offering a new deal. Rose knows her family is in peril and her companions have been faithful. She swore she wouldn’t fall in love. But had she? And now this new deal. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment!

The third book in the Once Upon a Princess series a well written story in the continuation of Rose’s story. The last chapter had me almost crying. What is going to happen in the next book? I will be reading it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I don’t know what to say & not give away what happens in this next book of this great series. I can’t put the book down waiting to learn how Rose breaks the curse. There are lots of twists & turns in this book along with the previous ones. I am glad there is only one more book for the conclusion. There should be a HEA! I received a free copy from the author. This is my voluntary, happy review.
I find that the characters are ever expanding as it seems that their problems are all coming to a head…The plot line continues to be entertaining, and attention-holding.All three novels have been a fun ride, can’t wait for the fourth one!
This is book 3 of the Once Upon a Princess series. I love fairytale’s and fairytale retellings and I absolutely love this series. The story and characters are well written and developed. The story pulls you in from the very start and keeps you pulled into the story until the end. If you love fairytales or retellings then I definitely recommend reading.

What a gut-wrenching ending! My first reaction was WHYYYYYYYYY (insert lots of crying and tissue blowing)!
Another phenomenal novella in the Once Upon A Princess Saga! Truly the stakes are higher and things are even more tense and engaging then before. I didn’t think I could love this series any stronger, but the author proved me quite wrong, especially in matters concerning Phillip. I absolutely LOVED the why he was with Rose and all things surrounding him. What a beautiful and surprising plot twist!
Also, let’s talk about that one scene with Theo and Rose. Excuse me while I smirk because that was priceless.
I’m very much looking forward to the last book in the series and can’t wait to see all this stuff and drama and more magic stuff get cleared up. Who knew that family dynamics would play such a powerful role?
Recommend to those who love fairytales!
Here, the third in CJ’s wonderful Once Upon A Princess series, for the Kiss, yes! We have all been awaiting the kiss, right? After all that’s our favorite part in every fairy tale…? Wonderful read but did it work? Read on to find out…
