Plunged right in to this brand new world had me biting my nails and reading furiously to learn about everything having to do with these characters. Vividly descriptive, it was fairly easy to see it in my head and didn’t stop until I got to the end! As always, unconventional, but completely hot and satisfying!! I can’t wait for more!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

This is defs not my usual genre of read at all! But when I heard Natalie Bennett was writing this, I had to pick it up! And she lives up to her reading style in a completely new genre , and I loved it. There are secrets and lies, truths the we are trying to figure out and defs does not disappoint. I can not wait for the next book.
A PNR book by Natalie Bennett. Those are words I didn’t think I would ever say.
Trust me when I say that this isn’t a typical PNR book, it is a Natalie Bennett PNR book. So that means that it is gritty with plenty of blood and gore. And there are secrets. Things aren’t what they seem and what is true and what not.
The world itself is pretty vague and the reader gets dropped straight into the story, so a lot of things don’t make to much sense, but I guess that will change during the rest of the books.
The characters are intriguing with lots of different facets to their personality which makes for a interesting read.
I look forward to the rest of the series.
When I found out Natalie Bennett is taking a dive into the PNR genre, I literally squealed for joy. I have almost read all of her books and was looking forward to seeing what she would come up with in a world of the supernatural.
Beauty and Rage introduce us to a Queen of a dying kingdom. To survive and to prevent further killing of her people, she willingly surrendered herself to the King of Purgatory. Purgatory is the home of the “manmade” unnatural supernaturals who, under the rule of their King are “assimilating” the rest of the supernatural race and bringing them either into servitude or feeding and killing them off.
This story felt like a prequel where we meet the key players – Duvessa, Reyes and his brothers, Duvessa’s confidants and a hint of unrest that is waiting to turn into a tornado at any given moment. This story raises a lot of questions than answers, and I hope Ms Bennett answers them as each book is released.
This was definitely interesting! It was unlike anything else Natalie Bennett has written before. It’s definitely dark and mysterious, it sets you up for the next book… you want answers to all the questions this book raises! I need to know more!
Natalie Bennett kicks off her new PNR series with a bang! From page one I was hooked and I could not put down this fast paced adventure…Full of twists & turns, secrets, mystery and then more mystery….This book is dark, kind of sinister and has left me with an arsenal of questions after following the tiny breadcrumbs to the very last page…. that ending GAH!…Let just say that I literally spent 5 minutes clicking the “page forward” button on my kindle in hopes that magically there would be more words..more pages..that ending killed me (I may or may not have thrown my kindle)….This book was beautifully chaotic madness..and I cannot wait to find out what happens next

***4.5 Stars***
I’m definitely intrigued.
Confused on some level, which is actually what I believe the author somewhat intended because confusion does tend to turn to interest/intrigue and make the reader NEED to know just what the hell is going on.
So, she wins. She totally wins in this case.
What we get here is a nice little intro to a world, and story, that’s filled with sex, drugs, blood and intrigue (rock n roll would have come next had this taken place in our world) and quite a few characters ~ both good, bad and craycray ~ that I want, and need, to know more about because there be quite a few questions I need answered ~ especially with where things dropped off.
So, time to #practicepatience and see just what the author has up her sleeve for these characters!

This is a very promising start to a new series. I enjoyed it and really like the characters but wish we had gotten a couple more answers. Definitely looking forward to more in this series and would recommend it.
