I never thought I’d see him again.
My first love, back from the grave.
My captor and tormentor.
He holds my past, present and future in his scarred hands.
He owns me.
No matter how far I run, my path leads me back to that lonely castle.
Back into the arms of the Beast.
Did anyone else keep thinking “get your head out of you’re a$$”, or was it just me? And then I started finding out why. So many feelings. So much chemistry. So much insecurity. So much evil. I know there are secrets yet unrevealed and as I learned each new piece of information, I read faster thinking there were going to be more answers, and then the shock of betrayal! That one came of out of left field for me. And now I’m wondering if things played out naturally or if they were given a push. Only time with the help of Lee Savino and Stasia Black will answer all the thoughts I have going and I personally can’t wait. This is a terrific retelling of Beauty and the Beast like you’ve never read before.

Daphne is thrown into a world of pain and punishment when Logan believes she has betrayed him. both look back on the times that shaped their lives and how it is now shaping their future. Logan fits his draw to his siren, but Daphne learns to master herself in turn trying to master Logan right back. amazing read.
Logan’s issues with trust continue. Daphne is betrayed by 2 people close to her. This causes a rift between Daphne and Logan.
I received a copy of the book from the author, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Book 2 of 3
It just gets better.
Ends in a cliffhanger.
Daphne isn’t being a pushover anymore, not even for Logan. Everything in her life has changed, can she pick up the pieces?
Logan may have gone to far and pushed Daphne away forever.
Well written and well read. Can’t wait for the last book.
I listened to this on Audible.
Prepare for a hurricane on an open ocean, sending the reader tossing and rolling through the changing story line; occasionally grabbing something solid before getting pitched over again. Ms. Savino and Ms. Black continue to lead readers through the stormy depths of torment surrounding the characters in the second installment of this dark Trilogy. This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
When I start feeling strong animosity toward Logan, I know these ladies continue to weave an engaging rendition of the folk tale. Readers will truly feel conflicted about the lead male as he struggles to trust his feelings toward Daphne. I was compelled to both hate and root for Logan simultaneously. I enjoy discovering the complexities of this character.
As Daphne expresses doubt about her love for Logan, she also radiates strength and courage in the midst of his drastic downturn. In this book, she continues to be hope personified as she tries to understand how Logan needs to be loved. Readers will move through the story never quite sure if Daphne can help find the man Logan was in his youth. Her struggle is equal parts harrowing and engrossing.
Without doubt, readers will experience an emotional journey through Logan’s past and more challenges for the couple as they try to explore if they can be together. However, as a warning, there are several possible triggers some readers may find hard to read. Although some rough scenes were difficult to read; the understanding gained about these dynamic characters is totally worth the cringe inducing moments.
*I received an ARC version of the story for my honest review of this tale.*
You ever want to yell, “You idiot!!!!” I may have muttered it under my breath several times while reading this. The leading man in this one has a lot to make up for in book three! Wearing a mask does have its perks because I have a rather expressive face lol. Gotta say the cliff hanger on this book was a gut punch. Woah!
Logan and Daphne are two tortured souls. Logan can’t seem to trust at all. With all the betrayal in his life, I can’t say I blame him. Daphne has spent her whole life trying to please everyone but herself. It’s no wonder she gets pushed around by so many people. Will these two ever get over their issues and communicate?
Wonderful continuation of their story. I waited impatiently for this one to come out and now I’ll wait even more impatiently for the next. Truly terrifyingly dark and delicious! I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest opinion.
Beauty and the Thorns is the second book in the Beauty and the Rose trilogy and I suggest you read these books in order. Daphne and Logan have forged their relationship with secrets, pleasure, and pain, but will Logan’s beastly actions force Daphne to his rival?
Okay, I wasn’t sure what to think about this book, based on how the last book ended, and I feel like I have emotional whiplash from this book. There’s flashbacks from their childhoods, flashbacks from when Logan and Daphne first got to know each other better, and then all of the craziness that’s happening currently in their lives. I was both deeply intrigued by this storyline and wanted to know what would happen next, but I also wanted to throttle both of the main characters. Logan has some serious trust issues, understandably, but refuses to give any more softness to Daphne. When she’s with Logan, Daphne is so strong and revels in her submission, but as soon as she tries to stand on her own, she is easily steamrolled. I want to love their connection, but their relationship just seems volatile more often than steady and they had no communication. There’s so much passion and angst and chemistry, I really struggled with reading this story. I do look forward to reading book three and seeing how this relationship and all of their drama fully plays out.
I received this book for free but an voluntarily reviewing
I have envelope seeing a strong chemistry between these two, before and after the destruction of everything falling apart. Logan and the others won’t let Daphne speak up for herself.
Finally a fairy tale for adults who like Erotica and Dark Romance! This is the second book in the Beauty and the Rose Series and we get to see more of the relationship between Daphne and Logan and how they struggle to figure out what that relationship is. Part of the magic of Daphne’s personality is her innocence but it is also the part that prevents her from seeing the bad in people she trusts. She finally comes to trust Logan/Beast but at the same time she misses clues about some of her “friends” that should have alerted her to their real objective. The last few pages of this book give us a whopper of a cliffhanger that will be dissected in the final book in the Series, Beauty and the Rose. This has been a wonderful Series and I can’t wait to see how this all ends and whether there will be an HEA or not.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
4 stars for Beauty and The Thorns by Lee Savino and Stasia Black. This is book 2 in the Beauty and the Rose series. “ The way I see it, life is equal parts hurt and love. If I numb myself to one, then I miss out on the other.” This book was much better than the first. Logan is horrible at jumping to conclusions. Daphne wants to be with Logan but keeps falling into old habits. She wants to make herself happy but she has to take the right steps. Logan needs her, but can’t admit it. I am going to warn you this book ends on a massive cliff hanger. I am ready for book 3 now, to bad I have to wait.
“Well, in for a patent, in for a pound.”
—>>> There are challenges, trials, and tribulations in more ways than one, involving trust and betrayal. Daphne’s continued naïveté really gets her into hot water, and she remains a pawn for all others’ uses. We get a few windows into the time of their pasts, which contrast sharply with Logan’s vendetta repositioned even more foremost on his mind. The cliffhanger will definitely leave you wanting to read the final installment of this series!
Beauty and the Rose is a trilogy and “Beauty and the Thorns” is Book 2 in the series and skillfully continues the story. We see the growth of Daphne becoming more assertive and Logan learning how to express feelings and contain feelings of anger. They are still electric together and passionately love each other. Lee Savino and Stasia Black continue to keep us guessing at every turn of the page. The suspense builds, the mystery intrigues, the romance is HOT and the story is action packed! These gifted authors tell a beautifully, well written story of love, life and tragedy which keeps you interested until the last page. Can’t wait for Book 3!
Too much jumping between past and present but otherwise a great continuation of Logan and Daphne’s story. It’s hot and erotic and emotional; and just when it looks like Daphne and Logan might have a chance to get their happy ending, another shocking and heartbreaking reveal ends this book in a cliffhanger. I really care about these characters and am waiting anxiously for the villains to get what’s coming to them and for Logan and Daphne to get their HEA. Great writing and storytelling by these authors. 4.5 stars.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
The 2nd part of Daphne’s and Logan’s romance heats up, and gets even more intense. New Olympus has a new power couple, and what they learn together will change everything that they know. I loved this book, and didn’t want to put it down to go back to reality.
Read book 1 first before this one. But it is well written and so enjoyable. I love the history mixed in with the story. It caught my attention and kept it. It has so much in it such as excitement, emotional situations, hot and steamy, suspenseful, intriguing and much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This is book two of the series and it picks up where book one ended. This book is spectacular. The characters are great. They are strong, independent and yet fragile emotionally. Their past rules their present lives and makes trusting so hard. I found myself rooting for them when so much is agaisnt them. This book keeps you on edge. There is danger all around. Whose truth is the actual truth? Can love conquer their pasts and the people out to destroy them? You will have to read to find out the answers. No spoilers allowed. I read this book in one sitting! I had to know what was going to happen with them. Time disappeared as I read. I can not wait to read the next book! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy from the author
Changes
Logan and Daphne’s story continues with backflashes that fill in a lot of information and questions. Their erotic BDSM games continue and their trust issues are still in play.
Adams true colors become more and more clear. Manipulations, betrayals, loss’s and finds, truths revealed and new beginnings…..but will it last? What a cliffhanger!!
I’m looking forward to book three where hopefully every one gets exactly what they deserve!!
Beauty and the Thorns is the second book in this trilogy. I really enjoyed Daphne’s journey from being manipulated by the people closest to her, to transforming into the a strong woman who finally puts her wants and desires first. I loved the back flashes that explains Daphne’s and Logan’s past. I throughly enjoyed this book!
This second installment of the Beauty and the Rose trilogy starts off exactly where book 1 left off. Stacia Black and Lee Savino are a great writing team and what I love the most is the books flow seamlessly chapter to chapter. Logan and Daphne’s story continues with deceptions, misunderstandings, but a chemistry that sinply cannot be denied. They have loved each other for years, it’s just getting beyond what he perceives she has done wrong to him. Adam is one awful bad guy, showing his true colors. Daphne and her father have a reconciliation of sorts. I cannot wait for book 3 Beauty and the Rose. I loved the Innocence Series and love this world. I hope for more from this world.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
