“I love this Beauty and the Beast story that Skye Warren has crafted. She puts a twist to this classic tale that makes it different and deliciously erotic.” – Nina’s Literary EscapeOnce upon a time there was a beautiful college student…Erin cleans Mr. Morris’s house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she can’t help but feel sympathy for him. Then she … but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual feelings.
And a beastly professor with scars he can’t hide…
Blake Morris knows he’s scarred both inside and out. He’s reclusive and surly. Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his house.
He receives an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his chance to reenter the world–and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.
Author’s Note: This book was previously published as a serial in multiple parts, including Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty. They’ve been collected into this volume and revised for new readers.
BEAUTY AND THE PROFESSOR is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.

A poignant tale of love and self-worth. Beautiful writing, soft as a caress. I couldn’t help myself when I heard this story had been revised to be republished. I had read it years ago, loved it so much it still lingered on my mind. After all, it was my first book by this author and I never looked back, hooked on her mesmerising words ever since.
This modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast delves deeper than skin into ugliness and beyond to what the heart hides. All the fears, the sense of not being enough, of keeping on losing our dreams no matter the effort to prevent it.
There is soul in this book, and a lot of passion.
The first scene is pure forbidden sensuality as Erin inadvertedly bumps into a private moment when her boss is pleasing himself. It is subtly provocative and intimate due to the innocence mixed with the openness of the incident. From then on, Erin and Blake cannot deny the force of their pull.
He’s a scarred man with heavy issues from his military experience, whereas Erin is the young college student who cleans his house. Talk of power play! So many alarm bells there. Both points of view shed light onto their inner thoughs about the dangers of their relationship, but mainly about their insecurities. Will they be enough? Will she really need him as much as he needs her, and viceversa? It’s relatable, achingly tender. And all the while they share this unmistankenly arousing intimacy that blows the walls around them.
The secret of their relationship increases the dangers exponentially until they explode in one final test. That was painful and it opens their eyes to how fragile life and dreams are. I was really sad about the cliffhanger because it took courage for them to go there. Both characters are devastated despite their feelings for each other. Thankfully, it’s only a short while before the second book puts us out of our misery 😀
This story is an absolute favourite. I’ve always loved Beauty and the Beast and this is a brilliant modern retelling. A former soldier, now recluse, meets a sweet young woman and friendship blooms. That is before something else sparks between them. But before they can truly explore this spark, life takes a turn and a relationship between them could be costly. Not only that but past experiences and a jealous ex throw the two of them for a loop. Both Erin and Blake realise the consequences if their secret is revealed. Blake is a fantastic intellectual and passionate man. Erin also has a sharp mind and a kind heart. But both Erin and Blake have insecurities and this holds them back. Not only that but both feel they are undeserving of love. However, they see something within the other, something deeper than what the surface shows them. It’s a beautiful story of finding love and pursuing it. It’s about seeing how beauty is within and sometimes the most beautiful people on the outside can be the most ugly on the inside. It does end on a cliff-hanger. However, this makes you crave the next book all the more to see what will happen to our two main characters.
As a modern twist on the classic “Beauty and the Beast,” this book had a lot of potential. Erin is a sweet college student who cleans the house of the reclusive Blake, a former soldier who suffered burns that disfigure half of his face (shades of “Phantom of the Opera” as well). If you know the fairy tale, you know that they end up together, but seeing as how this is a modern retelling, “together” means mostly in bed. Those scenes (and there are plenty of them) are steamy as heck. The rest of the plot is just…okay. I thought there were some inconsistencies in characters, and a couple of twists were predictable. I did like the scene in the classroom, as the concept being taught (about precedent) was very interesting. I look forward to seeing how the second book finishes the story because this novel does end on a cliffhanger (that seemed out of the blue). Three stars. This review was written based on a pre-release digital ARC.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I love when fairy tales are retold into real life stories. They just suck you in and are so much fun to read. Beauty and the Professor is amazing. It is Skye Warren at her best. Erin is such a great character. She works hard for what she wants and she fights for it too. She is also fighting her way through college by cleaning Mr. Morris’s house twice a week. Blake is the hottie professor that has scars and is broken. He is pretty much a hermit but a new job gives him the ability to be back in public again. But the real reason that he wants to fight is to be a better man for Erin. This book is just absolutely on you will not put down when you start. I loved every second of this book.

Whoa! Talk about starting out hot and heavy right from the get go! I was waking my husband up after the first few chapters, lol!
With such a quick start in terms of will they or won’t they get together, I wondered where the story would go; where would the conflict come? But me of little faith, I should know better than to ever doubt Skye Warren and her writing prowess. You are taken on a ride that is unexpected and written in a way that almost feels backwards…until you get to the end. I was left immediately wanting the next book. The conflict comes and be ready to instantly one-click the next book.
This is an AMAZING take on an old tale. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one (and neither can my husband, lol)
This is the perfect retelling of the famous fairy tale and packs a punch filled with the darkness and light and so forbidden with an age gap no one sees Blake like Erin does his scars do not matter she is all heart with very true feelings as she tries her best to bring him out of his darkness and enter the real world again as they fight to be truly together. This is raw feelings with a whole lot of heat and the attraction was right there from the very first page and very well written I am loving Blake and Erin.
I am utterly speechless. This book is the best Beauty and the Beast retelling I’ve ever read! Skye Warren has recreated the well-known story in a perfect way, adding to it a bit of angst and a lot of steam. I was unable to put it down! This forbidden romance with age gap is everything I could wish for. And I need more!
Erin cleans the house of ex-military Blake Morris 2 times a week. That’s how the girl pays for her tuition. But somewhere between wiping the countertops and vacuuming, Erin developed a crush for this scarred man. And one accidental encounter makes her realize that this infatuation is not one-sided.
Blake, after the accident that left him injured, lives in solitude. The only company that he allows himelf is a young student who cleans his house. The girl brings in him feelings that make Blake struggle inside because he doesn’t feel good enough for beautiful and smart Erin. However, when it turns out that their attraction is reciprocated, the couple get carried away with the unrestrained passion and the whirlwind of emotions. Because, apart from lust and fascination, they both have insecurities and issues. Their trust have been broken in the past. Additionally, Blake was asked to return to the university where he was a professor before the accident. The university that Erin attends…
Forbidden romances are one of my favorites and the age gap in this story adds a spice to the plot. Blake, despite being wounded, is a delicious type of alpha that we drool over. His insecurirties run deep but it doesn’t stop him from showing power and confidence when it’s needed. Erin, on the other hand, is a sweet and caring girl who works hard for her future. Her situation may be hopeless, but she has too much pride and self-respect to take advantage of the opportunity to take an easy way to make her life better. Although the world is trying to show them that they shouldn’t be together, we can clearly see that they’re made for each other. They are exactly what one needs in the other. And the steam that pours out of their encounters leaves the reader breathless.
Captivating, sexy as hell and addictive. This is the story described in Beauty and the Professor for me. Skye Warren proved once again that she’s an incredibly talented author whose books should be on the MUST READ list of every romance-lover. I’m waiting with bated breath for continuation of Erin and Blake’s story!
WOW!!!
This is one of the best teacher/student romances I have read. It’s packed with emotion, genuine connection and heat that might just scorch your kindle. Beautiful tie in with Beauty and the Beast. LOVED it!
That cliffhanger ending had me shouting NOOOOOO so loud I woke my hubs. Damn you Skye Warren. Damn you!! Ggggrrrr
Beauty and the Professor is Book 1 in Skye Warren’s Modern Fairy Tale duet and I can not wait to find out what happens next. This author continually writes a story that I can get lost in and this book is no exception…I mean who doesn’t love a forbidden romance?
What’s starts out as an age gap turns into a professor/student romance with plenty of rugs at your heartstrings. By the end you will be filled with hope and then we get left with the cliffy…
I need more of Blake and Erin in my life and can’t wait to finish their story!

Beauty and the Professor by Skye Warren is the first book in her A Modern Fairy Tale duet, and I was so excited to read this. A retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a forbidden teacher/student twist! I loved this book from start to finish!
Blake Morris has led a solitary life since he was scarred very deeply on the outside and inside. This changed him. He was a strong man but stayed away from everyone except his house cleaner. The sweet and innocent Erin. Erin cleans his house to help pay for her studies. She sees something in Blake he no longer sees and when she catches him in an imitate moment, things change. Now Blake has the opportunity to go back to living his life but imagine his surprise when he finds Erin is now his student!
I love Skye Warren. She is an amazing writer of dark, forbidden and steamy stories and this was no different. Beauty and the Professor was emotional and sexy and forbidden. Erin and Blake share a deep connection, but underlying issues in each of them could wreak havoc on their fragile relationship. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Forbidden romance. Twisted fairytale. Decisions, addictive read!!
Can I just start with how much I love skye warren?!? This book just makes me love her writing that much more. She takes a fairytale and creates a masterpiece that is dirty and delicious. She creates a forbidden plot and sucks you in. It taps into that forbidden part of your brain that makes you happy and question your morals all at the same time. It was a delicious read that I couldn’t put down and finished in one sitting. Another masterpiece by Skye Warren!! You will become addicted to this series from the first word!!!
Erin & Blake are in an impossible situation. They are not allowed to be together, but decide to go against what the rules say. As their story goes, they get deeper and deeper and things progress that create a storm of problems and breaking rules. When someone threatens them, it all breaks down. These characters are amazing and one of a kind.
Beauty and the Professor by Skye Warren is the First book in A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. This starts the story of Blake Morris and Erin Rodriquez.
Erin is a college student who cleans house for the reclusive Blake. Blake was once a professor but after he was disfigured in the Middle East he has turned to staying home. But he can’t get his housekeeper from his mind and wants to be better for her. So when he goes forward to return to teaching and walking into his class is the beautiful Erin. Erin has been attracted to Blake especially after she encounter him in a personal moment.
This book does end to set us up for the next installment in their story. Also know that this is a updated and combined release of the former books; Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty.
Love Ms. Warren’s writing…always a great story.
This is a deep, dark, take on the classic story. Blake’s beast is shackled by scars, inside and out, and he is living, no existing, in pain, when Erin comes along. From the first scene, the attraction, the heat, between them is palpable. But it exists in the darkness that is his world. She is sunshine and light, and as much as the world has tried to keep her in the dark, she refuses to give in. Blake isn’t dark to her, he is everything she has wanted. But the world is against them, but they both still fight. Until, it is clear to Blake, to go into the light, they need to go apart
All sorts of imagery and sexiness in this story. The feelings are raw, the darkness enticing, and the hopelessness overwhelming. The opposite is also true, because the love is warming, the light is glaring, and the courage inspiring. For both Blake and Erin, they swing to both ends of the pendulum, together, and apart, and you go with them for the ebb and the flow
Beauty and the Professor is a modern Re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. This book is sexy, steamy will make you all gooey, but is also sweet.
Erin and Blake are so different yet so perfect for eachother.
I cant wait to see what Skye delivers in the second book of this duet.
Skye Warren has given the ancient fairytale a sensual, seductive and sinful twist in Beauty and the Professor. The thrill of forbidden love and intensity of overpowering love make this story extraordinary. Skye Warren’s beautiful words gripped my heart and claimed it wholly from beginning to the end.
Erin and Blake belongs to two opposite ends of social spectrum. Erin is a poor student who works as house cleaner to pay for her studies. Blake was once a proud military man with a bright political future but retired to his present reclusive life after a horrible accident that scarred him inside out. I was so captivated by their soul deep connection. They understand and complete each other in a unique way. Age, social status, money, social rules- nothing can separate them. The circumstances do test them but they stand together. But will it be enough at the end? When Blake takes the position of Professor and Erin becomes his student, past relations and future options collide in a devastating way.
You can expect the story to be extremely erotic and intense because it is Skye Warren we are talking about. She writes some of the most delicious sex scenes I have ever read. The scenes go beyond simply physical act. Erin and Blake’s chemistry gets deeper and stronger with each scene. Blake is my favorite kind of man. A sexy body, a dirty mouth, a golden heart and the sexiest thing in any man – an intelligent brain. Erin is the force who calms him and centres him. She is so selfless, strong, non judgemental and mature beyond her age. Their chemistry was beyond erotic and all consuming.
The bewitching writing of Skye Warren pulled the strings of my heart and filled it with delightful emotions. An exquisite and magnificent read with ravishing passion and heavenly love.

Taboo, naughty, scandalous, sexy and heartwarming, just to name a few things that Beauty and the Professor will make you think. Skye Warren is an expert when it comes to writing stories about forbidden love and heartbreak. I could not put this book down and read it in a day! With great characters and some sexy salacious scenes Beauty and the Professor will have you ready to fill out your local college’s application. I loved this book and the exploration of the sacrifice of our soldiers and their families and that not all scars are on the outside. Skye Warren is master at her craft and Beauty and the Professor is no exception at being a 5-star book. It does leave off on a cliff hanger but never fear Falling for the Beast is already available and waiting to be consumed.
Erin Rodriguez is young and ambitious and not like her other college classmates. Erin goes to a private college with the help of scholarships and student loans and working cleaning houses to just barely scrape by. Erin’s only positive outlook is that she works for a man that is not only handsome but kind and intelligent and intellectually stimulating, now if only her feelings weren’t one-sided. Blake Morris is a recluse. After having been badly burned on his last tour overseas and being left by his fiancée, Blake no longer sees there is a reason to leave his house, until Erin came along. Blake can’t help but feel for the beautiful college student even though she is much younger than him. When events lead to a more personal relationship than just employer and employee Erin and Blake must explore what is truly at risk and whether they can both survive the fall out if they are discovered.
A sexy taboo romance from the first page with thick angst, Beuty and The Professor brings you a modern story fairy tale of Beuty and The Beast.
A wounded veteran and a poor young college girl, you will think the normal taboo romance between the older man and younger woman. But if you know Skye Warren’s writing, you know you in it to get more.
Heavy on the angst part.
Lots of steamy scenes… Which I don’t mind one bit
A girl with heart so strong, you can’t help falling in love with her.
A wounded Alpha, you just can’t help lusting and love and adore at the same time.
Plot so flawless with how the author write her words like so effortlessly, there’s no way to read this book but finish it in one sitting.
Blake Morris used to be a Professor until he was disfigured when he went to the Middle East & was hit by an IED. Since then he has stayed a recluse in his home. The only person that he sees is his housekeeper, Erin Rodriquez. He likes her a lot but doesn’t think he is worthy of affection anymore. Erin might be the one to show Blake just how beautiful he really is inside and out! Get him to work and live again but when people from his past try to interfere can they overcome it all? This is a sexy modern retelling of beauty and the beast and I really enjoyed reading this book. Ends in a Cliffhanger
He used to be a professor at Tanglewood University before war ravaged his body, and left him virtually a recluse who rarely ventured out.
She answered his ad and became his maid twice a week, in order to remain a student and stay afloat financially.
Strictly employer, and employee until something once seen, never forgotten changes their whole relationship.
What a fantastically intense and sensual read!
Page after page of lust, and devotion. Desire and hunger. Sizzling sexual encounters. Oh so delicious!
Repercussions and jealousy, underhand tactics and betrayal make this an unforgettable read!
Beauty and the Beast can step aside, I definitely prefer this version hands down!
Blake is lost his life on hold until she turns up and breathes life back into him.
The way he sees himself broke my heart, and the way he was treated oh I wanted to cry for him!
Erin is an amazing character she truly sees him, and for that I instantly loved her. Not a malicious bone in her body shes a true wonder.
I cant wait to read the conclusion of the duet, and there is no doubt in my mind that 5 stars is what this book truly deserves!
