“I love this Beauty and the Beast story that Skye Warren has crafted. She puts a twist to this classic tale that makes it different and deliciously erotic.” – Nina’s Literary EscapeOnce upon a time there was a beautiful college student…Erin cleans Mr. Morris’s house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she can’t help but feel sympathy for him. Then she … but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual feelings.
And a beastly professor with scars he can’t hide…
Blake Morris knows he’s scarred both inside and out. He’s reclusive and surly. Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his house.
He receives an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his chance to reenter the world–and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.
Author’s Note: This book was previously published as a serial in multiple parts, including Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty. They’ve been collected into this volume and revised for new readers.
BEAUTY AND THE PROFESSOR is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.

It was a good read. Hot and steamy romance to get the blood pumping. The chemistry was oh so yummy. The cliffhanger ending was undesirable.
It gets a little slow after the beginning but I like how they get together. I don’t like the ending.
gross
The only thing that I did not enjoy about this book is that it was a cliffhanger. I would’ve much preferred to see the book go onto a more complete ending.
A very enjoyable book with 2 well-rounded characters who both struggle with personal issues. Each helps the other to get past their issues to move on. Just enough conflict and romance to keep things interesting.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
Oh. My. Wow.
This book is the steamiest one I’ve read/listened to this year. It is so hot . Be prepared to take many breaths and have a handy set of extra panties on hand.
It does end in a cliffhanger and I highly recommend.
This story of Beauty and the Professor has a twist, and Skye Warren keeps the reader engrossed with all the little bits of drama and side stories in this book.
Blake is a scarred man who has become a recluse. Not only was he damaged in war, but his fiance left him because she couldn’t handle his disfigurement. Erin enters the picture as a student needing to earn extra money to finish her education, and she cleans his house for him.
As with all beauty and the beast stories, the characters are both damaged from the past, and must get over their insecurities and faults with the help of each other.
I love Skye Warren’s books and this one is highly recommended!
Wow! This is a really good retelling of Beauty and the Beast!! This book is full of passion and love but also heartache. I really loved it and can’t wait to dive in to the second book!
It is so hard for me to leave a review without making any spoilers. I must say that these two definitely had some obstacles to overcome that will keep you on your toes. The way it ended has me absolutely listening to the next asap! Great book with just as great narration.
The beginning of a modern fairy tale, we meet the first glimpses of Erin and Blakes story. a story that doesn’t start very easy and is getting so complicated. Erin works for Blake without knowing he is about to become a very important person in her life, she goes back to school not knowing he is going be her new teacher and this may complicate things for them, not knowing what to do they may need to take some measures that won’t be the ideal for them but will keep them safe from the gossiping eyes around.
This is a good story with great characters and the right amount of angst. I can’t wait to read more about this scorching and super hot couple in the next book.

Wonderful story
Except for a cliffhanger it’s a story filled with emotions and I very much enjoyed it.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of meaningful dialogues
The characters is developed in to realistic personalities and I feel connected to them in the end of this story
Love scenes is intense and beautifully described
Narrators:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. The male narrator has a tendency of raising his voice in the more intense scenes and that is challenging listening to. Otherwise it’s all good.
I recommend this story if you like strong characters with some personal challenges and a couple with sizzling chemistry

Audiobook Version:
I loved this book! Fabulous Beauty and the Beast re-telling with a modern spin. The characters were complex, the story compelling and captivating. I truly enjoyed this through and though.
The narration was fabulous! Lia and Stephen brought these characters to life in the best way. This was beyond enjoyable to listen to. It pulled me in from the very beginning.

Audiobook Review:
Beauty and the Professor (A Modern Fairy Tale Duet, Book 1) takes on a nonpareil twist on the classic fairytale Beauty and The Beast with a student/teacher forbidden romance. A erotica, age gap taboo trope swirling through the pages of this modernity fairy tale. I fancy the characters as I found them compelling, and tenacious. The narative is provocative and passionate.
Looking forward to listening to book 2 in this Duet.
Narators Stephen Dexter performance had just the right dose of angst and passion. He articulates a sonorous compelling voice Lia Langola is a new narator that I have just recently discovered. Her pronunciations were clear, as well as her tone and pace flows through smoothly. Together, these two create a off the charts romance.

Modern Fairy Tale Duet Book One.
Erin Rodriguez, a student at Tanglewood University, has been cleaning Blake Morris’s house two nights a week until she walks in on him in a compromising position. She immediately feels bad for invading her employer’s privacy, but when he says her name, she cannot stay away. After being together for a short period of time, Blake gets an offer to teach at the university. Erin is thrilled for him, but nervous about dating a professor at the same school she attends. They talk about the situation but decide that since she isn’t his student, it will be ok. Until Erin’s class with a blank professor is filled by Professor Blake Morris.
If you’re looking for a geeky take on Beauty and the Beast, this is the duet for you! However, you will need Falling for the Beast, as this book has a cliffhanger.

A haunting and steamy remake of beauty and the beast with a wicked Ex of the professor’s to create havoc.
This is the first book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. This is a forbidden story, and an erotic retelling of Beauty And The Beast. The story, and the characters, are interesting, I would love to listen to the next book in the duet. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a great narration. #AudiobookObsession
I enjoyed this story. A forbidden love between student and professor although they are not student and professor when they first start together I have to say. Erin works for Blake as a maid so that she can afford her schooling. The chemistry is hot between these two from the beginning, but it isn’t until Erin finds Blake in a compromising position that they have to face their issues.
Blake is not one for going out in public since his accident in the army. But Erin brings something out in him. When he decides to start working again at the local college, and she becomes his student after they have already become intimate, they have to decide what is more critical their relationship that has just started or his career and her future?
Excellent start of a duet.
By far the best retelling of Beauty and the Beast I have read recently. It’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s addictive from minute one. I am incredibly salty that my own collegiate experience was nothing like Erin’s.
I would recommend this for fans of age gap relationships, hot professors, fairy tale erotica, people that already know Skye Warren is Queen and people excited to discover her writing.
Beauty and the Professor
A Modern Fairy Tale Duet, Book 1
By: Skye Warren
Narrated by: Stephen Dexter, Lia Langola
Beauty and the Professor is not what I expected. What I expected was the same old cookie cutter story paralleling Beauty and the Beast. While there is a few similarities, this story is much it’s own. Erin is working her way through college as a maid. Blake is a recluse, military vet and between the two, their attraction is explosive. This book heats up immediately. The steam is high, but it’s when the story begins to be told that I was hooked. Blake’s history is one I have such respect for, and his honor and intelligence is what made me fall for him. He is damaged, but not so much that he can’t be healed. Erin is young, but full of spunk. I think she proves that maturity isn’t always part of age. Add in the job of professor, the student, and Blake’s old girlfriend Meredith and we get some real sparks flying. The story is rich and hot and the cliffhanger has left me watching for the second part of this duet to release.
Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola are an amazing team. For this, Dexter is cast perfectly. Blake is a grouchy man, a little bitter and needs some attention. Dexter uses his voice to give us that growlie, scarred vet, a slightly feel sorry for himself tone and makes you sympathize with him. He can turn the heat on and add a little alpha sound when he is adding the steam too! Langola easily voices Erin. The strong, independent student with compassion and love comes through with the inflections of her voice. They compliment each other well and really bring this modern fairy tale to life.
