“I love this Beauty and the Beast story that Skye Warren has crafted. She puts a twist to this classic tale that makes it different and deliciously erotic.” – Nina’s Literary EscapeOnce upon a time there was a beautiful college student…Erin cleans Mr. Morris’s house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she can’t help but feel sympathy for him. Then she … but feel sympathy for him. Then she walks in on him touching himself, and she has much darker, much more sensual feelings.
And a beastly professor with scars he can’t hide…
Blake Morris knows he’s scarred both inside and out. He’s reclusive and surly. Nowhere near good enough for the smart and beautiful young woman who cleans his house.
He receives an offer to return to his alma mater as an associate professor. This is his chance to reenter the world–and to be worthy of the woman he dreams about. He never expected to see her sitting in his classroom on the first day of the semester.
Author’s Note: This book was previously published as a serial in multiple parts, including Beauty Touched the Beast, Beneath the Beauty, and Broken Beauty. They’ve been collected into this volume and revised for new readers.
BEAUTY AND THE PROFESSOR is the first book in A Modern Fairy Tale duet.

A new take on Beauty and the Beast that you don’t want to miss! Skye Warren does it again!!
This spin on the beauty and the beast was good. I loved Blake, and what he went through and how he carried not only scar’s on the surface but also how it affected him psychologically was heart breaking and it broke my heart to read his thoughts and how he saw himself. While I loved him I didn’t much care for erin. Even though she accepted Blake and made him feel alive again I just felt like they weren’t a good fit. I don’t have a problem with the age difference, but she seemed not on his level. And to be honest I love smut just like any other woman, but their was more time spent on the f##king then on the relationship it’s self. Over all a good read. Until next time luv’s
Uh, YES PLEASE!
Erin could not help but crush on Professor Blake Morris. In order to support herself while going to university, she cleans his house for him. Yes, it is true that he was injured in the war and half of his face is burned pretty badly. But the other half of him is so gorgeous! His personality is also pretty outstanding. She could not help herself as she longs to be with him and to discuss her courses and more with him. He is such an intelligent man!
Surprisingly to her, she finds out he is also attracted to her. You will love the scene where this happens! Now, they will need to bridge their difficulties and decide how to proceed. The fact that he is fifteen years older than her is something that has Blake in a turmoil.
Their relationship needs to stay secret. But what do you do when by a twist of fate your love interest ends up being your professor for the last class you credit in order to achieve your Master’s degree?
I could not put this book down. Watch out for manipulative Melinda. She will get your temper boiling!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

So, Skye Warren and a Beauty and the Beast retelling. Hell to the Y-E-S!!! Beauty and the Professor takes one of my favorite fairy tales and gives it a new, delicious and forbidden spin.
Erin is a student and housekeeper who works for Blake. Her feelings for the beastly man are innocent enough, until she walks in on him in the middle of a compromising act. Blake is a scarred ex-solider, who doesn’t feel worthy of a woman, let alone the beautiful Erin. When he’s offered a position as a professor at his Alma Mater, he doesn’t expect to find the beauty sitting in his classroom.
This is for those lovers of forbidden romance and fairy tales. For those who want to believe that the beast will find his beauty, but with a few complications along the way. If you enjoy the classic fairy tale, then you will love this modern take.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ms. Warren for giving me a retelling worth reading, even if I have to wait to find out what happens.
A modern reworking of Beauty and The Beast with engaging characters you want to read about. If you enjoy forbidden romance then this is for you, he’s her boss, her professor and he’s older.
Blake is the older broken man and Erin is the young woman who you hope can fix him. Alpha men are my favourite to read even if he is a surly moody so and so. Erin is an independent hard working determined young woman. The chemistry between the two jumps from the pages. This a sensual tender love story with that element of danger because they have to stay a secret. We end on a cliffhanger that just makes you want to read book two right away.
Erin cleans Blake’s house for him. She has a crush on him. He is a scarred, yet sexy older man. When she walks in on him in a compromising position they are both horrified yet intrigued.
A sexy, dark romance. Blake is recovering from his time in the service. With visible and the not so visible scars he feels unlovable. Erin sees the strength of his character. The book is part one and ends at the perfect stopping point. Wonderfully written and beautifully dark.
Beauty and the Professor by Skye Warren is book 1 in A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. This starts off Blake Morris and Erin Rodriquez’s story.
This is a modern day twist on the classic retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It’s full of action, drama, angst, twists, turns, dark rawness, deep emotions, steamy feels, heavy passion, and just everything that makes a Skye Warren book phenomenal.
Erin clean her Professor Morris’s house twice a week to pay her tuition. The reclusive ex-soldier intimidates her, but she feels for him too. Then she catches him a moment that’s seared in her brain and her feelings are flipped to a darker more intense feeling for her Professor/boss. She longs for him but doesn’t think he could ever want her. What she doesn’t know is her older Professor has had deep, dark, naughty thoughts about her for the longest time but hasn’t made a move….until now. Their relationship has to be a secret for he’s her teacher and he’s 15 years older. Forbidden and delicious is this romance. This book starts off a amazing duet and ends on one heck of a cliffhanger.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *******
5 BEAUTY AND SEXY STARS!! What a sweet and tasty read!!! Erin and Blake definitely gives us readers a sexy and heartfelt story to fall in love with. I need the second book now….I am dying to see how this duet ends. Skye Warren is magnificent with her storytelling, her words are like candy you can’t get enough of them. This book should definitely be a 1-Click for you.
A modern spin on a classic tale but with a overload a sexual attraction . Erin Rodriguez is an ambitious, beautiful college student. She’s in her final two seminars from graduation. She cleans a magnificent luxurious home to pay for tuition. This home is owned by mysteriously handsome Blake Morris. Blake has hidden himself from society after an injury from his tour of duty in the military left him badly scarred. He grows a bond with Erin and they are instantly form a bond through conversations. Their attraction grows quickly after Erin finds out Blake is sexually attractive to her…the feeling is mutual! They are both insatiable and their love scenes are off the charts. They must soon deal with the outside world to overcome the obstacles that may pull them apart. Looking for to the second book to this amazing story!!!
A•R•C ~ I was given Beauty and the Professor by Skye Warren as an Advanced Readers Copy (A•R•C) from Give Me Book Promotions. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Beauty and the Professor is part 1 of a duet so be prepared for a cliff hanger, other than that great read! I really hate cliff hangers especially when I am into a book like I was with Beauty and the Professor.
Great realistic characters, good solid story, nice twists. I’m starting the 2nd book in the duet; Falling for the Beast right now to continue this retelling of Beauty and the Beast.

STORY:
This story was missing something. It’s an age gap with a girl, Erin, in college with no money who cleans Blake’s home. Blake is the recluse who has physical scars. Blake is a professor, thus the title.
My issue, there was no build up and that lost my interest immediately. This story needed tension and build up that will keep you interested and wanting more. It felt too easy the way Erin and Blake connected and how quickly they got together. The sex came so fast that you didn’t have time to connect with them. If this was an Insta romance then that would be different.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Sex was good was not lacking there but didn’t make me enjoy the book as much.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
They were ok too.
OVERALL:
Could have been good but lacking on the character building. The male audio was meh. I don’t feel he brought the character to life the right way.
TRIGGERS:
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
WOW!!! Loved the way she fell in love with “him” where his looks could have scared her away. Because of his disfigurement and PTSD he thought he wasn’t good enough for her (along with their age difference) and because of her coming from the poorer side of town she didn’t think she was good enough for him. She could see that he would be worth chipping away the broken pieces and he loved her so much that he had her trust in his feelings for her. Good character development for both Eras and Blake. This type of book, where someone with PTSD, can start to see the light of day with encouragement and love…are some of the best. This one has a cliff hanger on the last pages (just don’t read those), but went on to the second book and it was well worth it!!
Skye doesn’t waste anytime getting down to business. Right from the start the sex scenes start what is to become a sexually driven story about a maid and a scarred man.
Blake is a proud military man who was injured during his last tour. Erin is the young college student who cleans his house. Erin fantasizes about the professor never realizing he too fantasizes about her. He’s insecure about his appearance and age feeling like a defeated man until Erin quiets those thought with her soft supple body.
There was sex. Lots of graphic sex. About eighty percent of the story was sex and twenty the external obstacles of why they can’t be together. I find it fascinating that all a man needs to feel confident is sex. Erin uses her body to bring pleasure to man who otherwise considered himself destroyed because of the scars.
A man easily broken by his dark thoughts by the seductively young student. This was a sexy read. Yet I’m in need of something more unique.
The way some chapters ended it felt like the ending of the story but then Skye would create another obstacle for these characters to overcome. Yet the scene with the ex in his house felt unfinished. How long did she stay?
If Blake is thirty-one that makes Erin sixteen since he’s fifteen years older than him. Which can’t be possible if she’s in a master’s program. I’m confused. The age of these characters doesn’t line up.
I love Fairy Tales retelling, and Skye Warren has written an amazing one here. This duet is the story of Erin and Blake, such an amazing twist to Beauty and the Beast, with a strong female character and a Beast that as in the military. Two complicated souls, this book will captivate you, the cliffhanger was expected as it’s a duet. The audiobook was narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola, I liked the way they worked together in this story, they definitely know their jobs and how to portray each character, the editing was good. I would recommend it.
Impossible to put down!
Erotica by any other name. There is no romance here just an affair between an older man and a naive girl. He’s rich and she’s his maid. They have lots of sex, good sex hence the 2 stars, but they don’t have a relationship. They don’t date. They don’t talk. They don’t do silly things to annoy one another. For a romance to occur one must unpack one’s emotional baggage in front of one’s partner. And the partner should do the same. Air out insecurities, trauma, secrets, past triumphs, broken dreams and hidden hopes for the other person’s inspection. And hope that they see you–the whole bundle of mess that is the real you. Anything less is just playing. Just like Ms. Warren is playing at writing a love story. It’s all sex and surface and that’s fine for some but it’s not love. He feels grateful she doesn’t see his scars and she feels that maybe possibly that she’ll actually be seen. When she’s no longer marginalized as poor trash and he heals enough to start living they’ll realize that they have nothing in common. They are at different points in their lives and they need different things.
Beauty and the Professor – Skye Warren – You know when you are about to make a really bad decision that is going to make both your life and someone else’s complicated or painful, but you do it anyway because you really want to? Yeah Blake gets you! I spent so much of this book asking the characters why they can’t wait until after she graduates it’s not funny. Still a well written story even if I’m too practical for all the characters running around in their “feels.” Lol! Happy Reading!
Beauty and The Professor by Skye Warren is a modern day fairy tale that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola. This is the first book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet Series.
Skye did a great job on this Beauty and the Beast re-telling with a modern day twist. I would definitely classify that as an erotic romance due to the many sex scenes. I really enjoyed the relationship between Erin and Blake. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since it’s the first book in the duet series. I can’t wait to dive into book two Falling for the Beast.
Stephen and Lia did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like modern day fairytales, erotic romances, or age gap romances.

Loved this one; just haven’t had a chance to read the rest of the series.
