“I hate how complicated things get sometimes…You know? I wish it didn’t matter what role a person played– I wish we could all just relate as equals”
In this book, Sebastian sees his father who gives him and ultimatum to live up to his potential that’s hidden behind his “bad boy lifestyle” What a way to celebrate 35! This is a spoiled rich kid, and his dad just threw down the gauntlet. Will Sebastian pick it up? Heck, it’s a week in his life, what’s he got to lose?
Fairy tale retellings are a very big trophe these days, and Amorette Anderson is a good storyteller. Her descriptions of situations everyone has been in in some form or another make this a glorious escape for a few hours. Highly Recommended 5/5
[disclaimer: I received this book from the author and chose to read and review it voluntarily]
This is another great book for Amorette. I love her writing and I love this book. The plot was easy to follow, the characters were heartwarming and very full of life. I will not tell you what the story is about, that you will have to read the book yourself, I highly recommend it highly. I was not disappointed.
I recommend this book to one and all! As a reader you can’t go wrong when you pick up a book written by Amorette Anderson! Her writing style is a ray of sunshine that can break apart the doom and gloom of world events and cause one to apply the nuggets she gives in her books to make yourself a better person!
I sincerely would urge you to enter her writing world for you will be drawn to her characters and see things in your own life that you can make changes in to be a better person. They are uplifting as you can see how some characters can change and be a better person! If they can change, why not you?
It’s hard to be positive with doom and gloom constantly being thrown at us by the media and politicians so the best thing we can do to help ourselves is to get lost in a good book! The time flies by as we aren’t constantly dwelling on what is bad in the world but what changing our outlook and behavior can make to those around us! We can make our little corner of the world a better place even if we can’t change the world.
That’s the message Amorette brings to her books and I for one love it! It’s a concept that is never out of date and needed so much in our world today!
This is another great retelling by one of my favorite authors! Bridget manages the local coffee shop when HQ tells her she must utilize a new employee. Little does she know he’s the son of the owner who’d been told he must help someone or be removed from any financial support …and he can’t tell anyone. Sparks fly and trouble ensues. Plus, Bridget’s father is being backmailed. Read this book (and the series) by this awesome cozy writer.
