A sexy small town, beauty and the beast rom com!Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock… and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way … needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.
But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent…and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling.
The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep. But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away.
So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Alrighty loves, I did it again!
Stumbled into the middle of an awesome series and now my TBR list is longer and I have to read the rest asap! Buuutt… I have a BOATLOAD of ARCS to read this months and tons of edits to do on my own book!
Someone please remind me exactly WHY I need my day job!!!
Anyway, Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nicholas… this was an amazing little introduction into the Boys of the Bayou series.
Sawyer and Juilet were the cutest, sweetest and most PREPARED book couple I’ve ever known!
They made me laugh, they made me roll my eyes (a lot) and I enjoyed getting to know them on their way to safety in each other’s arms!
Toss in a fun loving family, a couple alligators and a river otter and you have a recipe for a happily ever after!

This is the first book I have read by this author, a light-hearted romance that involves two individuals that have the same issues. This is the third book in the series Boys of the Bayou but can be read as a standalone.
Sawyer Landry is one of four partners in the Boys of the Bayou business. He has not been the best company these past months because of what happened to his best friend, Tom. He is overly cautious and is overprotective of his family and friends that when he sees Juliet for the first time his usual self goes overboard and so did she, almost!
Juliet Dawson has almost always been bubble-wrapped by her older brothers and parents because of what happened to her when she was ten years old. Through the years she has learned how to be prepared at all times; she puts Health and Safety officers to shame. When she comes to join the Landry family to sort out her younger brother Chase’s mess her life turns upside down, literally, when she meets Sawyer.
Juliet and Sawyer’s chemistry is a slow burn explosive romance. One can’t help but cheer for this couple. Juliet is such a klutz but she is always better prepared than a Boy Scout. Sawyer counteracts her what-ifs because he is almost on the same boat. Juliet and Sawyer are yin and yang; they are a perfect match even a blind person could see it. The secondary characters in this book are equally as entertaining and make me want to join in the family business. Overall I really enjoyed Sawyer and Juliet’s romantic mishaps and misadventures and I am sure you will too.
Another fantastic installment of the Boys of the Bayou series. Seriously, Erin Nicholas continues to impress me.
This most recent release in the series is a play on Beauty and the Beast. Sawyer and Juliet really feel like two halves of a whole; their connection was instant and explosive. Sweet romance and hot sex; how can you go wrong?
Again, Erin Nicholas’s characters are what makes her writing so phenomenal. They are sincere, funny, quirky, inviting – they nearly come off the page into life! I have fallen in love with the Landry family and am fully indoctrinated into their ways. Can’t want for Kennedy’s story!
The Boys of the Bayou are fast becoming one of my favourite reads and Beauty and the Bayou is a perfect addition to the series. This is a fun, sweet entertaining romance that had me laughing and giggling throughout and the ending left smiling like a Cheshire Cat.
Juliet is an attorney who is in Autre Louisiana to built a new deck to replace the one her brother and his frat brothers destroyed, it’s meant to teach her brother a lesson in life in reality it’s two people with no idea on building a deck relying on some much needed help from The Boys of the Bayou. Sawyer is one of the owners and he rescues Juliet by pulling her out of the Bayou by the seat of her pants as she almost tumbles into the dark murky waters. Sawyer and Juliet are not looking for a relationship but as they spend time together they realise they are the perfect match for each other.
This book has it all, I laughed, I giggled and I sighed as I got to know this couple and watched them both overcome issues from their pasts. This book also gives us a chance to catch up with the other brothers and their loves as one more Bayou brother finds true love.
Another wild trip to the Bayou and Erin Nicholas knocks it out of the park! Sawyer Landry has been hurt, physically and emotionally, and is not sure how to recover. There are some things he just can’t control and that isn’t ok with him. Juliet Dawson learned early in life that she can control things with enough preparation. If not, she can avoid them. Sawyer Landry was not something she was prepared for. All the time in the world couldn’t prepare her for him or his crazy, Cajun family.
This is part of the Boys of the Bayou series and gives us some followup with other characters in earlier stories. You can read it as a stand alone but the humor and intensity of the earlier stories truly enhance this book. Can’t wait for Bennett and Kennedy’s story!!!
Last weekend I won an ARC for Beauty and the Bayou from the Social Butterfly PR Face book party room. This series, this book! SAWYER! Oh, my throbbing…! Juliet, I just LOVE her! Two very different people, yet they weren’t so different. He’s a little bit grumpy, she’s a little bit klutzy. Together, there’s chemistry, dirty sexy banter, honesty, touching, lots and lots of touching! You DO NOT want to miss this story about Sawyer & Juliet by Erin Nicholas.
5 star review Beauty & The Bayou (Boys Of The Bayou #3) by Erin Nicholas
I love the crazy, whacky Landry family and Erin Nicholas brings Autre, Louisiana to life for me. I would love to be a part of this family and their group of friends.
This is the third book in the series and can certainly be read as a stand alone, however, do yourselves a favour and one click the first two books as well. This is one of my favourite series of 2019.
Juliet Dawson is such a great heroine, I just loved her; whilst Sawyer Landry is grumpy and gruff to all around him, with emotional baggage, he has no intention of becoming involved with anyone.
Trying to repair the damage her brother and his friends caused to the dock of The Boys of the Bayou tour boats Juliet struggles. When Sawyer sees Juliet he is intrigued.
Juliet believes that beneath his gruff exterior, she knows that he could be fun, if only he will let her in.
The chemistry between Sawyer and Juliet is intense, the only question is can they ignore their feelings or will they give in to the growing attraction that smoulders between them?
As always the members of the Landry family were a hoot and I loved the banter and the camaraderie.
Beauty & The Bayou is a story with lots of snort worthy, laugh out loud moments which had me falling for Sawyer and Juliet, hook, line and sinker from the first to the last page. I loved it and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
There was absolutely nothing that I would change and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
Oh how I love these sexy boys of the bayou. These guys and their family kept me laughing and smiling throughout the book. You absolutely have no idea what anyone in the hilarious Laundry family is going to say or do next. They may fight and argue but the bond and love this family has is just a wonderful thing to see.
I have been waiting on the brooding Sawyer’s book. I knew Sawyer’s book was going to be a dandy and take a special kind of woman to step into his life and Ms Nicholas did not disappoint me. If you’ve read the series to this point you know Sawyer took the death of his best friend/business partner, as a result of the Bayou, very hard. His hold outlook on life has changed. He’s no longer that fun, happy go lucky guy. Now he’s serious, grouchy and all about safety and protection – to the point he is barking at this family and scaring the people on their Bayou Tours. But when a kooky, clumsy, city girl (Juliet) shows up in hip waders, a safety vest, a hard hat and steel toed boots, to repair the dock her brother broke, Sawyer has met his match (in every way).
I fell in love with Juliet and her goofiness and what if’s. She is a perfect match for the gruff, scarred and hurting Sawyer. Watching these two interact had me laughing to the point of tears. Beauty and the Bayou, book 3 in the series, could be read as a standalone, for better enjoyment I strongly suggest reading the books in order as they do overlap; beginning with My Best Friends Mardi Gras Wedding. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for a hilarious addition to the series that I Highly Recommend Grabbing Up. You won’t regret it.
Erin Nicholas has outdone herself with this one! I just loved it! Sawyer and Juliet are the perfect couple. They were absolutely just made for each other. This storyline was lots of fun to read. The dialogue is super! I can’t wait for the next book.
Loved this sexy, fun, engaging and heartwarming romantic journey! Can not get enough of these smoking hot Bayou Boys and this storytellers uniquely fun take on romance. I am so happy that Sawyer finally gets to tell his story and it is a riveting one.. Loved every heart aching, laugh out loud and cry so hard people around you look at you funny moment.
In Erin Nicholas’s newest Boys of the Bayou book we get to see why Sawyer is the way he is. Sawyer is still broken after Tommy’s death and is pretty miserable to be around. especially when he is overly cautious about everything. Then Juliet shows up. She is there to help her brother Chase rebuild the dock that he destroyed. But she has secrets of her own. And she is just as cautious as he is. Every word they share seems like foreplay and their chemistry is off the charts. Will Juliet help Sawyer to heal and we he help her, too? Sawyer and Juliet are my new favorite couple in the Bayou!
Sawyer is my favorite bayou hero! Absolutely loved Sawyer and Juliet’s story. Lots of steamy love scenes and some definite laugh out loud moments. Can’t wait for more Boys of the Bayou! Definitely recommend this book and the whole series.
What an amazing story! I love the characters, the setting and the plot. There’s fun, laughs, romance, some excitement and a bit of naughtiness. Who doesn’t like a southern boy who know his way around… well, you know. I fell in love with the Landry boys when they were first introduced in the Boys of the Big Easy series and I’m loving the fact that they are each getting their own stories now. Being a southern Louisiana girl myself, I can’t help but love me some good ole country boys. Well done to the author. I look forward to reading Crazy Rich Cajuns, Kennedy and Bennett’s story.
Once again, author Erin Nicholas has upped the ante with this 3rd book in the Boys of the Bayou series! Ms. Nicholas has thrown us back into the Louisiana Bayou with Sawyer and Juliet’s story…a story of two “yeah, but”ers. I personally related a bit too much to Juliet in this story…a worry-wart at heart…however, she has better reasoning for it.
Grouchy, rule-insistent, good looking, stickler, Sawyer Landry has his work cut out for him. He will be supervising the rebuilding of the dock that Juliet’s brother, Chase Dawson, destroyed in book 2, Sweet Home Louisiana. Everyone gives him his space because of his reaction to the accident that took his best friend, Tommy’s, life…but Juliet Dawson hasn’t quite been informed of this yet…
Her tiny hands encircled his wrists and pulled his hands from his hips. It was likely the surprise at her moving into his personal space—something not many people had done in the past few months, for fear of getting bitten probably—or the shock at her touching him that enabled her to move him.
Over-the-top-safety minded, lawyer, Juliet Dawson, is helping her brother Chase. She wants to see him succeed and will do whatever it takes to see him do exactly that…keeping the “What-ifs” and the “Yeah, Buts” in the front of her mind, as is all the researched information kept in her accordion files…
“She overthinks and over plans everything and then has to use it all. I think it’s so she doesn’t feel silly about the accordion files.”
Juliet frowned. “Not everything.”
Chase gave her a look. “Every project, trip, event, and hobby has an accordion file.”
This was going to prove extremely hard for Sawyer…someone who was over-prepared as he was, someone who was concerned more about safety than he was…someone who was going to be working with tools and doing construction…someone who his body suddenly had interest in…
It was juvenile as hell to think dirty thoughts whenever someone said “nail” or “nailed.
There really were a lot of construction terms that could sound sexual. It was going to be a long two weeks.
The slow-burn chemistry in Beauty and the Bayou is FANTASTIC! Author Erin Nicholas is great at building the story, and continuing throughout the whole series! I would certainly recommend reading books 1 & 2 first as the characters move forward with each book…adding to the entertainment! I was also so excited to see the cameo appearance of Gabe, Cooper, and Stella from the Boys of the Big Easy series (another amazing series from author Erin Nicholas)!!! The way the author blended the characters are perfection! I love the family in this series…can you have a “book family” like you can have a “book boyfriend”…because that is what I have after reading this series! The epilogue in this story is exactly what this book needed and I am hooked and looking forward to the release of Crazy Rich Cajuns, Kennedy and Bennett’s book!!!
Erin Nicholas has written a phenomenal book with amazing people. Every story grabs you and dose not let you go. Beauty and the Bayou is my favorite book so far. Friendship and love, this is a book all can enjoy.
Sawyer and Juliet!!!!! Where do I begin???
Erin Nicholas has done it again! I have loved all of the other series that she’s written, but I think she was just beginning to discover her talent of weaving characters into stories that hook readers and keep them coming back for more! This book was another installment into the lives of the Boys of the Bayou – if you’ve never met them, then you are definitely missing out on a good time had by all (but especially the reader)!
Sawyer has met someone who is even more cautious than he is, but together they remind each other that they/their loved ones may experience bumps and bruises but that’s what bandaids are for. If this doesn’t make sense, it’s because you haven’t read the story – and you’re really missing out!
I have received an advanced copy of this book from the author via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review. I am an avid reader of Erin Nicholas’s books, and I willingly requested and read an ARC of this book.
I love the Boys of the Bayou series, and each book gets better and better. The culture is so unique and the characters in this story are spot on with the hunky Landry boys and the wonderful small town family and friends. They are just a crazy, wonderful family and I adore them and their antics!
I was so looking forward to reading Sawyer’s book and I definitely was not disappointed! From the moment Sawyer and Juliet met, it was evident they were what the other needed and wanted. Their banter is hilarious and their chemistry is explosive. From Sawyer and Juliet’s very first meeting until the very last page I had happy feels throughout. I enjoyed every moment of their story.
Beauty and The Bayou is Erin Nicholas at her finest. Characters who are warm and funny, sincere and quirky and oh-so-real. Chemistry that leaps off the pages. Fantastic storytelling. Heartfelt emotions. Humor. This book has it all. It’s the ultimate feel good read. Cannot wait for the next one!
Sawyer and Juliet are my favorite Erin Nicholas’ couple. After watching them together, it’s hard for me to imagine anyone not leaving Beauty and the Bayou with a smile. She’s the Beauty to his beast and boy do they set off sparks. Tragedy has made him a loner with a penchant for grouchiness. Juliet may be a tad naive, but she’s no pushover. Her heart makes her fearless, although a tad clueless. They shouldn’t work, but my heart kept hoping they would. Nicholas continues to enchant with her irresistible characters that charm their way into your heart.
Best. Meet. Cute. Ever!! Sawyer and Juliet’s story grabbed me from not just page one, but from the first sentence! I was anxiously awaiting Sawyer’s story, to see what kind of heroine Nicholas would pair him with. This strong but wounded man needed a match who could handle his over protectiveness but help to lighten his mood and open his heart.
Juliet was just that woman, but she was definitely not without her own issues! While she was on the lookout for danger everywhere, she differed from Sawyer in that she planned for it, but didn’t let it stop her from embracing and living her life! She was the piece that was missing from Sawyer after the loss of his best friend. Juliet brought laughter to his life, which I think was the very best part of their relationship!
And laughter is my favorite part of every Erin Nicholas book. Many authors, including Nicholas, excel at writing physical and emotional chemistry between their hero and heroine. But she is one of the few who tickle my funny bone consistently, as well as make me swoon and cry.
Add in all those crazy Cajun relatives and you’ve got yourself a spicy bowl of jambalaya that propels the Boys of the Bayou series to the top of my favorite series of all time! Grab this one, my friends, and prepare to be thoroughly charmed and entertained!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Boys of the Bayou just keep getting better and better!! Sawyer Landry is the best Landry yet!
The grouchy, grumpy, overly cautious Sawyer has been thorn in his family’s side for months now. While they’ve given him room to heal both physically and emotionally from the tragic death of one of their own, Sawyer just hasn’t seem to recovered like the rest of the family. Scaring customers with his overly cautious and protective attitude who are there for a good time, not to mention his grouchy demniour doesn’t exactly help bring back repeat business. His family is worried that Sawyer may never return to his former easy-going self and so didn’t exactly inform him when a sexy beauty suddenly showed up one early one morning to help.
When Juliet’s brother, Chase, destroyed one of the Laundry’s docks in a stupid juvenile act of destruction, Juliet offered up their hands-on service to make things right. Not because she was an expert in building docks, instead she was hoping Chase would learn some respect and less “entitled” behavior from fixing his own mistake. She was there to make sure he did it right because she was nothing if not efficient, safe, and extremely organized. Growing up in an environment where she had to be prepared for “what-if’s” at all times, Juliet is the queen of being over-the-top cautious and she just might be exactly what Sawyer needs even if he isn’t aware of it, yet.
When Sawyer first saw Juliet Dawson on his dock wearing a hard hat, a lifejacket, and waders he was instantly curious, and aroused. He never in his life would have thought safety gear would have been arousing, but he also never met someone like Juliet. She turned his world upside down along with his frown. He found himself smiling for the first time in months and she was the reason. The more time he spent with her, the more he found the old Sawyer. Could Juliet be the cure to unlocking the gloom that has surrounded him for months?
While Juliet never would have found herself near water before volunteering to help her brother to fix his mistake, she does enjoy the camaraderie with the Landry’s that she’s never found anywhere else. She could easily see herself staying there, if only her life wasn’t elsewhere, and far away from water and the dangers of the bayou.
Beauty and the Bayou is funny, heartwarming, loving, beautifully naughty, and healing. This is the best bayou story yet!
