A sexy small town, beauty and the beast rom com!Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock… and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way … needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.
But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent…and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling.
The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep. But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away.
So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Juliet is determined to keep her brother from turning out like the obnoxious, entitled rich idiots he hangs out with. So when Chase breaks a dock, she decides he’s going to rebuild it, and she’s going to help. Who knew that she’d meet (and fall for) one of the owners of not only the dock, but the airboat her brother “borrowed” and crashed into the dock.
When Sawyer sees the lovely Juliet hanging off the edge of his dock, he’s unsure what to make of her. Oh sure, he notices how gorgeous she is, but he really doesn’t want anyone he doesn’t know making themselves comfortable on his dock, let alone trying to rebuild it! But when she seems as into safety as he is, his mind can’t help but be interested. Can these two safety nuts make it work even though there’s an inherent expiration date on anything they start?
Gah I soooo Sawyer and Juliet together! I love how she slowly breaks through his walls and I love the relationship between not only them, but Sawyer’s whole family and the support and love they extend to both Juliet and her brother, Chase. Beauty and the Bayou is fabulous – sexy, emotionally substantial and so freakin’ sweet. I am definitely going to be on the lookout for more of the Landry family!

Beauty and the Bayou is a beautiful story of triumph after tragedy! Who knew a book could make duct tape and bubble wrap seem so appealing?!? I’ve highly enjoyed the entire Boys of the Bayou series so far and never think anything can top them…well, I was proven wrong once again. Erin Nicholas is amazing at drawing you into the characters lives and making you feel their pain and sorrow. Sawyer has been the story I have been most anticipating since the first book and he has a piece of my heart forever!
The words are irresistible!
WOW just WOW!!! I love Erin Nicholas’ books but this is by far my new favorite. Loved, loved reading Sawyer and Juliet’s story. It had all the feels for me. Loved the way they thought their idiosyncrasies were adorable. But also loved how they were there for each other…they needed each other. Their electricity was off the charts. The perfect wounded love story for me. Definitely recommend this book. I’ll be reading it again.
Still reading this book but love it so far can’t wait to finish the book tonight. I recommend this book I would recommend you read the complete series. Thanks Erin will add a wonderful review when I finish the book.
This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series. I love a grouchy damaged hero with a heart of gold and I also love a heroine who is damaged but is still joyful. This book has both! Juliet, along with her brother Chase, come to Autre, Louisiana to help rebuild the boat dock that Chase and his frat brothers destroyed when they stole and crashed an airboat. Juliet believes that Chase needs to be around people who love their families and their jobs and work with their hands to avoid Chase becoming like her rich entitled father and brothers. Building the boat dock seems like a perfect solution. Sawyer Landry is the majority partner in the Boys of the Bayou Swamp Boat Tours – the owners of the destroyed dock – but his partners failed to tell him of the plan for Juliet and Chase to rebuild the dock. The meet cute between Sawyer and Juliet is one of the best I have ever read. Sawyer has been super grouchy and controlling for the last nine months, driving everyone crazy with his doom and gloom safety over-cautiousness. He meets Juliet for the first time while she is looking at his dock while wearing hip waders, a life jacket and a hard hat just to be safe. Sawyer is unaware until that moment that safety attire has become one of his turn ons. The story, like all of the stories in this series, is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, along with simmering and overwhelming feelings, all wrapped up in so much love. It has all the feels – sweet moments, fan your face steamy, side splitting hilarity, tearful scenes, and heart squeezing love. Sawyer and Juliet just have to learn that their sharp edges, which are a result of their past traumas, fit beautifully together and together they can overcome their fears in order to find their way to their HEA together. It is so much fun to get immersed in the insanity that is Autre and its inhabitants, that it is sad to finish the book and leave that world behind. Erin Nicholas excels at creating beautiful, rich, loving and fun small towns populated by secondary characters who enhance the main love story rather than crowding or detracting from it and Beauty and the Bayou is further proof. I cannot wait to see what is next for the rest of the Landry family.
Still reading right now, but OMG, 42% in and lovin’ it so far.
If you read the last book, you will remember that Chase and his rich buddies stole one of the boats and wrecked it into the dock. Juliet doesn’t want her brother Chase to be a rich a$$hole, so she is making him rebuild the deck with her help. It is so funny because neither one know anything about construction. But Juliet researches everything and tries to think of all the possibilities of things going wrong. I loved that Sawyer understood how she felt and they clicked together. Juliet is funny on how she tries to prepare for everything. I just love Sawyer’s family and how they make the people they really care for feel part of their family. It was a good book that I encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
As always Erin has outdone herself. Just love Sawyer and Juliet. As a health and safety manager they are amazing to me.
Erin never disappoints! Love this series, this just might be my favorite! Must read!
Absolutely loved Juliet and Sawyers story
I’ve been waiting to read Sawyer’s book and was not disappointed. Juliet is quirky, sweet and perfect for Sawyer. They both have fears and with each other’s help and love they can overcome them together. Love the Landry clan, they all help each other and even strangers. Looking forward to reading Kennedy’s book.
I LOVED Sawyer and Juliet!! They may have seemed super different on the outside, but I loved how similar they were. They are both super hard working with great morals. They even have some similar fears.
I’ve been dying to see Sawyer be happy! He’s been so sad and surly, and I’ve been really impatient to see what’s under all of that. Everything that happened with Tommy, one can definitely understand why, but it was about time he started living life!! Then we have Juliet who isn’t unhappy but not living life to the fullest because of past reasons also. She is such an AMAZING person though! Who else would not only make their brother do some hard work for payback, BUT DO THE WORK WITH HIM? The best girl in the whole world would!
These two really had a special connection though. All of these things they had in common, but I think also their differences really brought them close. Their interactions were super flirty and steamy, that I could not wait to see what would happen!!! Their “meet cute” was super adorable too!! Then of course you have the family, who everyone falls in love with. I loved how they took Chase under their wing even, completely looking past his reasons for being at the Bayou.
Oh man was this book FUNNY! I was howling throughout this whole book. On top of funny, it had just about every other emotion too! The best part about a romcom is when it truly is more than just a comedy. And THAT was exactly this book! It was so much more than a comedy and had so many layers. I cannot wait to see what is in store for us next!!!
all of Erin Nicholas’s books are fantastic!!!!!!!!
I have been impatiently waiting for Sawyer’s book since we first met the Landry’s! I loved how we got to see more into his worries/fears of the bayou since Tommy’s death. And I loved how Juliet made him feel things that he’s blocked out since Tommy. It was great seeing all the crazy Landry crew again, and I can’t wait for more from this wonderful family!!!
Erin Nicholas is a master at writing HOT and swoon-worthy heroes!
Wow! I have been a fan of Erin Nicholas forever. I just love the way she writes. She creates these amazing world’s that make you want to be a part of and never leave. I love the characters she creates. Some of her characters will forever stay in my heart. When Erin Nicholas puts pen to paper her words dance off the paper and forever into my heart. Just breathtaking. I love the Boys of Bayou series. Those men are just too much.
In Beauty and the Bayou we finally get Sawyer Landry’s story. Sawyer is a hot mess. Suffering from the loss of his best friend he is bound and determined to protect everyone and keep them safe. Sawyer is wound tight and has been frustrating. He is lost. Nothing is the same for him. Enter Juliet Dawson. Juliet is a lawyer who volunteers her and her brother to repair the dock her brother destroyed one night. From the moment Sawyer and Juliet meet you can see the chemistry.
In Beauty and the Bayou I felt a range of emotions. My heart broke, I cried, I laughed and had heartswooning moments all from one story. Juliet and Sawyer are truly perfect for each other. The passion they have is beyond this world. I loved watching them overcome their struggles. The secondary characters are as always phenomenal and I enjoyed catching up with them as well as seeing more of the phenomenal Ellie. I just love Ellie. I also grew o love Chase. I also loved catching up with some of the characters from the Boys of the Big Easy series. I love how all these characters support one another and are very tight. I love the town of Autre. I even love all animals especially Gus the otter. Erin Nicholas created n amazing world and an even more phenomenal story. I adore this series. I read it in one night and was sad to see it end. I have since read it a second time. If you want a romance that is more than just romance then Beauty and the Bayou is the book for you. You will laugh, cry, have heartswooning moments, feel a bit of your heart break and even go “oh my”. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Best book in this series to date. Kudos to you Erin Nicholas.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
OMG I loved being back on the Bayou for more fun, crazy antics, family, laughs and lovin’ Cajun style!! Erin Nicholas truly knows how to write a romance that will have you laughing one minute and fanning yourself the next with all the other emotions tossed in there for good measure. She writes lovable quirky characters that will definitely own your heart. Sawyer & Juliet are absolutely perfect for each other and they have such spicy hot chemistry too!! Their banter is so much fun and I loved watching them fall for each other more and more each day and support each other. This is such a great series that is so much fun to read. The Landry boys have all been totally swoon-worthy, but I definitely have a soft spot for Sawyer and what he’s been going through. All of these characters are so wonderful and really make me want to be a part of their fun loving family. I loved getting to see two of my favorite child characters, Stella and Cooper again!
Fantastic epilogue! Can’t wait for Kennedy & Bennett’s book!!
This author is NEW TO ME therefore I took a chance because the Blurb alone caught my eye.
That said GLAD I DID!!
Sawyer is a MANLY-MAN and mmmhm thank god he is, because not only is he handsome but brave, strong and smart.
But Sawyer is a broken man, after the incident year before it left him hollow and empty, feeling guilty and broken.
Juliet is beautiful and smart, but a city girl…someone Sawyer does not need in his life. But Juliet is determined to
give her little brother the lesson in life and get him on the right path.
Not only that but she decided a lesson would be best served if the crime that was committed
were to be fixed, so she jumps on board (no pun intended) and volunteer’s them to fix
the broken dock.
From then on it’s a wild ride of fun, laughter, adventure and some steamy passion.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and will definitely look into
reading more by the author, I liked the story line and form of writing.
The characters were very mature and captivating.

Poor little rich kids. They “borrow” an airboat and crash it into a dock. Then one’s older sister insists that she and her brother will rebuild the dock to teach him a lesson. That is the premise for this installment in the Boys of the Bayou series. I love that Juliet wanted her brother to provide restitution, but his character remains questionable since he left her to do most of the work. Juliet, with her over-preparedness and safety issues, is amusing. And Juliet and Sawyer complement each other well. Together they are funny, flawed, and hot. But what makes this story is Sawyer’s family. These secondary characters are wonderful, providing comedy, wisdom, and the plot support that completes a story. Gus will steal your heart, the Trahan’s visit is fun, and the bayou is dangerous and beautiful. With bold characters, interesting choices, and steam, author Erin Nicholas has another good one here.
