A sexy small town, beauty and the beast rom com!Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock… and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way … needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.
But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent…and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling.
The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep. But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away.
So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Sawyer and Juliet
I love this series. Sawyer the the angry overprotective broody partner in a bayou tour business. Juliet is the overly prepared stubborn city girl who will not let anyone in her way. This is a worth the wait slow chemistry couple. Loved narration! ! Sisters Spotlight
I’m loving this series by Erin Nicholas. I’m considering picking up the series before and starting it! We saw a character from there (and the first book in this series) which was fun. It always adds to a book to see previous characters! And the whole small town, seeing them in each book, just makes me even more invested in their lives. I love laughing and cringing at their antics! I loved Sawyer and Juliet as people. Both of them, with their flaws (or are they flaws?) are so uniquely perfect for one another. My heart just soared for those two. And Juliet’s brother, Chase, I hope we see more of him in the future.
Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master are excellent narrators! They both voice the male and female characters well and add so much emotion to their performances. Ramona’s voice was not what I heard when reading this book, but she’s so good that it didn’t take long to adjust.
*I received an ALC of this audiobook and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Beauty and the Bayou
Boys of the Bayou #3
by Erin Nicholas
Narrated by Gregory Salinas & Ramona Master
These Boys of the Bayou have my attention! I think no matter where you come from, if you met one of the Landry men, you too would be hooked. There is just something about them! This story spotlights Sawyer and Juliet. Sawyer bumps into Juliet at the docks wondering what a woman like her is doing. When he finds out her brother is the one that stole their boat and hit the dock and she wants him to fix it, all bets are off! Nothing is going to stop Juliet from teaching her brother responsibility. But will Sawyer be able to deal with her? Fun from the start, this story packed a good loving punch! The chemistry off the charts, it’s obvious how much these two have in common! Juliet is quite the woman, facing fears and watching out for her brother. Sawyer, still dealing with Tommy’s death is fearful, trying to keep all his loved ones safe. Can these two find a happy medium? I am laughing with the outfits Juliet is wearing and loving Sawyer’s thawing emotions. It’s a funny listen, yet it holds a real emotional story. These two are made for each other and it’s quite the ride to get them there. Love this series. Keep them coming Erin!
Each brother has such a distinct personality and the narrator casting has been spot on. Gregory Salinas as Sawyer comes through with a charisma like no other narrator has. But Salinas is able to add that lingering fear Sawyer feels into his voice. Fantastic! Ramona Master compliments him with a portrayal of Juliet. Loving fiercely, confident yet scared, it all comes out in her voice. This is a fabulous team and their performance enhanced the story greatly!
What can I say? This book held me captive from the start to the end. Sawyer and juliet both have their own issues that they are dealing with and they are able to help each other to heal. Due to the tragic death of his best friend Tommy, Sawyer has become overly protective of all of the people he loves and the people who are on the tours he leads. But when Juliet shows up in her life jacket, hard hat, and steel-toed boots, somehow she manages to bring a sense of calm to him.
Juliet had a tragic medical event and has learned to compensate for her physical deficits. But that means playing the What If and Yeah But games. Sawyer quickly learns this, and rather than being annoyed by it, he is mildly amused and plays along with her.
This was such a great love story, full of emotion and lots of laughter. Also in this story, Juliet’s brother Chase learns what it is like to have a “family” that holds you accountable but in a very loving way and that steers him in the right direction with plenty of life lessons.
Definitely an unique chemistry between Juliet and Sawyer. I dig it. These two complemented each other well. I’m glad they found each other, because they made each other stronger and braver. With their past traumas, I wish therapy had at least been suggested. The fact that it wasn’t represented at all was disappointing. Both could have benefitted from it.
I loved how dynamic the main characters were. They had unique pasts that were well developed. Juliet’s bravery, despite her fears, was so admirable. Sawyer was quietly protective, without being overbearing like a lot of alpha heroes are. He was sexy too. I just wish we’d gotten to see more of his dominating side.
Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nicholas is the third book in her wonderful romantic comedy series, Boys of the Bayou . I’ve been excited to read this one since I got a snippet of wht Sawyer and Juliet’s story would be like at the end of Sweet Home Louisiana, book two in the series. Told in dual POV between the overly careful Juliet and the overly-worried Sawyer this story is funny, sexy, filled with swoony moments and laugh-out-loud family craziness! I love this series, I love the airboats, I love the characters and the world. Enjoy!
Another amazing addition to this series!! Can’t wait for Kennedy & Bennett’s story!
I am really enjoying this series. I have become a big fan of Erin Nicholas with this series & im looking forward to more of her books.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This is about how Juliet overcomes and deals on a daily basis a tragic from her youth days. And then how Sawyer has his own problems to deal with. Juliet wants to teach her younger brother Chase he has to deal with his own actions of damage. The bayou has its own hazards that everyone living around it know a lot of the dangers.
Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nichols is the third in the Boys of the Bayou series which is a sweet series that takes place in Autre, Louisiana, outside of N’Awlins. Boys of the Bayou is the name of a tour boat business owned by Sawyer and his brother, cousin, and several other partners. He had been making them all nuts for nine months now, ever since his best friend and co-owner, Tommy, had been killed out on the bayou. Since then, he saw danger everywhere and reacted too all of it negatively. They had been putting up with it because they loved him, but now they had found a solution, at least a temporary one: Juliet. Juliet prepared for every eventuality, even ones virtually non-existent. No she was here to help her brother rebuild the dock he had destroyed. Sawyer could not resist. Everyone else could breathe, at least for a time.
Beauty and the Bayou could be read as a stand-alone but why would a reader do that? One of the enticing things about these series is that it is all family and friends oriented and the story continues even though the focus may change. It is about Sawyer and the woman who is perfect for him, and he for her. It is about their connection, both socially and sexually. The sex is hot but the story is more than that. It is about people with real issues and families and how they react through both good and bad. And how they open themselves to new members. It is a
fabulous read and I can’t wait for the next installment. I recommend it. Please give it a try!
The return to the bayou and the boys from the area. We get sexy, moody, broody, scared Sawyer. His big, gruff, and a not at all intimidating to the city-slicker in town to make sure her brother do the right things. Juliet has no qualms about doing what is right. And the right thing to do is to make sure that her brother repairs what was broken and do it right.
Sawyer was going through a tough time in life. He was not coping with things very well. He bark was the way things were handled. And for most people that usually pushing them away. Then walks in or stumbles in Juliet. The city-slicker with much tude of her own and a need for safety for all and everything having its place and order to do all things.
Sawyer was just the type of hero I gravitate to. He was broken on the inside by an event in life. He was not really working through the pain of the event but was at the same time still very safety conscious for those around him. Friend or foe or other.
There was more than just a few people that learned a few lessons on life, love, family, and taking pride in earning ones keep, respect, and friendship. I just cold not help but to fall in love with the family from the bayou and the city folks that came to town.
Erin Nicholas you rock and thanks for another romance in the bayou.
I’ve really enjoyed this series thus far, and quite enjoyed this book. Sawyer is such a tortured hero that you just want to fix him. And Juliet is an all-around mess, but nonetheless a success. They are perfect for each other, and watching them finally come to realize that was a delight. Still… I really wanted MORE from this book. Sawyer gets some excellent advice from his grandmother early on, which he promptly ignores, and wastes two days of the precious two weeks he might have spent with Juliet. Of course, later it takes a kid to open Juliet’s eyes about how things really are. When they finally get together, we are treated to a glimpse of the start of their relationship, then an entire week goes by before we rejoin the story. When they rescue Gus, all we get is an extremely brief acknowledgement that they did so, but no real description or anything. The epilogue, while delightful, is not even about them!
My new favorite series and a new favorite author. I am loving the Boy’s of the Bayou series. I think I loved Beauty and the Bayou even more than Sweet Home Louisiana, and I really liked Owen and Maddie too. But Sawyer and Juliet? I loved Juliet. I liked her immediately when she showed up in Sweet Home Louisiana. I found her relatable. She was perfect for Sawyer. And Sawyer? Aww Sawyer. I also fell in love with him instantly. My new book boyfriend. As always loved the rest of the crazy characters. I couldn’t put it down.
I am LOVING this series! It’s sweet, charming, sexy, and HILARIOUS. I found the first book and read it on a whim because I loved the cover and have been hooked on every single story since! Ladies, if you are looking for an awesome series with some of the most delectable men of the south, you DON’T want to miss ANY of these books. I promise, you won’t regret reading them for a second!
This book takes on a beauty and the beast theme, the beauty being Juliet who is in town for two weeks and the best being Sawyer- the grumpier of the Landry clan. The two are also total opposites but seem to fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. That is, if they can get over their initial worries about starting anything with one another…
Beauty and the Bayou is another HIT for the series and I am so dang excited for the next one. Every time I see a new cover and story pop up I immediately add it to my list of MUST reads because they are so much fun! I love escaping to the bayou with these boys and I know other readers will to! So make sure to grab your copy. Haven’t read the other books in the series yet? No problem. You can read these book in any order you choose as they each feature different couples. I PERSONALLY recommend reading them in order as you are able to watch each brother fall in love but it’s not necessary!
4 Stars
Sawyer and Juliet have no reason to get along. Yet they both have more in common than they realize. When precious life experiences cause both to become more cautious people they have to find a balance. The attraction between these characters is immediate and intense. How they navigate their “quirks” and needs is a funny and hot adventure full of love and most of all family!

Who knew the stuffiest Landry would be so fun to read. The book was by far my favorite. I loved watching Sawyer blossom all because of the right women…he comes out of the shell he has wrapped around himself, Trying to save his heart from the pain of loss. Juliet now all about sawyers favorite game “what if”…..she is the perfect women for him, but can he open up the wall around his heart and let her in……can she overcome all her fears and let him in……this story was typical Erin Nicholas funny, fast paced and steamy as Louisiana nights!!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Erin Nicholas is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Beauty and the Bayou is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou Series and I am already sitting here anxiously waiting for the next story. To say I have enjoyed all these stories is an understatement. Not only are they fun, but they are insightful educational, and down right hot. Of course any story worth anything with the word Bayou in the title is going to have some sort of heat to it anyway.
Success has not come without struggles and loss for Sawyer. Those losses have created struggles for him in his daily life. Forgiveness and patience are not easy tools to self medicate. Sometimes, a jolt is just what the Dr ordered. Similarity can be a good thing.
Family devotion has always been a mixed bag for Juliet. Coming to the Bayou would not have been her first choice, but circumstances dictated her presence, or so we are to believe. Her own demons do not allow her the comfort so many enjoy daily, yet she still relishes in each day. Can lighting strike in the same place twice?
Erin, you have me properly wrapped around your finger. And while I like to read what your hubby likes to read as well as what you allow the kids and friends to read (haha) I am really enjoying these stories. Your ability to take a tense situation and fill in the holes to make it so much softer are a rejoice. Looking forward to the next installment and happily give this one five stars.
I loved this book. It is by far the best one I have read in a long time. I can not wait for some more Boys of the Bayou. Erin Nicholas does great with all her book but this one is just the best.
Beauty and the Bayou is book three in the Boys of the Bayou series by Erin Nicholas, and possibly the most anticipated in the series. Sawyer has been a troubled soul throughout the earlier books and readers are hungry to meet the woman who is going to bring his soul back to life again.
Juliet Dawson is strong and self sufficient, but Sawyer sees a kindred spirit who needs the support of their person to be whole. She’s quite the character and brought many a smile to this reader’s face.
Sawyer is the guy we’ve loved throughout the series even though he was angry and surly. We all just want to gather him close and hug him .. and in this book we get to. The dialogue and emotion is spot on and fulfilling.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a small town vibe with a family centric cast who brings heart, soul and lots of laughs to the story line. You absolutely can’t go wrong with any book in this series and I am highly excited for the next one to come!
While I had been anxiously awaiting Sawyer, Erin Nicholas has been writing a novel that so encompasses what happens in everyone’s mind. The What-if game is something we all do. Some more than others but it’s there. What if the storm hits my house? What if the boy I like, likes me back? What if I never take the chance? And so many others that helps us make our day to day decisions. Both of these characters do this in spades. Juliet has done it most of her life. Her traumatic experience happened early so she had to learn to adapt in order to be a kid again. Sawyer’s happened so much more recently and he’s still figuring out how to live with his new normal. This story is laced with many things. Emotional hurdles, supportive but not smothering family, love and lots of laughter. The family that has been created is so realistic to me that I would love to visit the Bayou and maybe stay there but this is nothing new from Ms. Nicholas. Although Sawyer would be the one I would definitely stay for. He is broody, moody and can be down right scary. Juliet is the perfect match for his storm and his What-if game. First, she’s better at it. Second, she’s more prepared because that’s what makes her feel as if she can cope with what ever happens next. And third, he has found the one who will match him issue for issue and calm him when it needs to be done. Ther are so many things I want to say about the things that happen in this book but it would be so much better to read it for yourself. Know this, what if you wanted an emotional read that makes you laugh, makes you swoon, takes you to the edge of your seat and gets you hot and bothered? Yep, this is the one.
