I read these because of the slight intertwining portion for Stealing Summer and I am SO glad I did. These were amazing.
This is Lexi Blake writing as Sophie Oak and YUM.
Each of these is an interconnected standalone so you need to read them in order. They are quick and sexy reads and by the end you are completely obsessed with these characters and this world. Just a quick review for me but they were amazing.
I loved the strength of the heroines and the tenacity they showed book after book even when seated down. The heroines shined and the guys were just along for the ride. Girl. Power. But like, alpha yummy power too. Shifters and Magic and Vampires, OH MY.
One word for this book/series: AMAZING
Let me start by saying if you are new to Lexi Blake/Sophie Oak you are in a for a treat! This book draws you in from the very first page. Once I started, I could not put it down!! This is a fantasy story which pulls all your strings. I love how characters from Lexi Blakes other stories are pulled into the plot.
I strongly encourage you to start from the beginning. This is a series you do not want to miss.
Lexi Blake’s Faery Story trilogy comes full circle with the stunning conclusion in Beauty. It’s finally time for the kingdom lost at the beginning of book one to be reclaimed by the rightful princes, and for the princess everyone believed was lost to get her happy ever after.
Saved by an unexpected twist of fate and unlikely ally, Bronwyn Finn has been hiding in plain sight so that her treacherous uncle believes her dead. Having lost her family and her kingdom, Bronwyn has only her faithful companion to keep her company during the day and the Dark Ones she has dreamed of since a child that she dreams of at night.
Unseelie Fae princes Lach and Shim have dreamed of the princess in the tower since they were children. So much so, that they have magically bonded to her across the planes of existence. No one believes in her existence except the symbiotic twins, but they know she is their fated mate that will help to connect the two halves of their shared soul.
In an epic bid to save their kingdoms, Lach and Shim begin a journey to save Bronwyn and to help their Seelie counterparts, Beck and Cian reclaim the Seelie throne.
Lord have mercy, this trilogy was beyond anything I could have ever expected and I adored every page! While Beck and Cian were symbiotic twins, so are Lach and Shim, but this time, their opposite souls are fire and death.
Bronwyn is no tragic heroine. She is so strong and loving and I love how she finally discovers and embraces the woman she is meant to be and that Lach and Shim support her in her quest even though all they want to do is protect her.
For Sophie Oak fans, the tie in to her Bliss series is phenomenal! There were so many fabulous moments and ties ins and I loved how these book worlds collided!
Since Beauty is the final book in the trilogy, we see all of our favorite couples, including Beck, Cian and Meg as well as Dante and Kaja working alongside Shim, Lach and Bronwyn and the other amazing cast of characters to find the happy ever after for themselves and their kingdoms.
Do yourself a favor and get lost in this faery tale today. It truly was a grand tale full of love and adventure. 5 stars!
In Beauty, you willfind that Lexi Blake has magnificently connected three of her most popular series by including characters from Masters and Mercenaries, Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss, Colorado in addition to those from Bound and Beast. There are surprises at every turn as favorite characters show up. Beauty is the epic conclusion to the Faery series and all the threads are pulled as she weaves the love story of Lach, Shim and Bronwyn. The Seelie and Unseelie planes are finally united in a common cause as Lach, Bronwyn and Shim find their footing as a bonded triad.
Like few others Lexi builds excitement and edge of your seat anticipation of what promises to be an explosive event where evil and bad guys are vanquished and the good and love prevail.
I loved this so much!!! I’m always drawn in by Lexi Blake, and everything leading up to the culmination of taking back the throne from Torin was done SO WELL. Bron, Shim, and Lach have known each other since they were children, but only through their dreams. This makes for a very interesting situation – they basically fell in love with each other, not even knowing they were real at first, but they also know almost nothing about each other. It’s a steep learning curve to say the least, and there are many bumps in the road (along with some pretty freaking hot sex!) – I laughed, growled, cried, and fell in love with Lach and Shim.
Lexi writes extremely strong women who, while they might be submissive in the bedroom, are a force of nature when fighting for what they want/need. It would be so easy for the female to be “steamrolled” by her partner in the name of safety. Bron has double that with twin brothers as her mates, but she refuses to back down and knows this is her fight. Her men, while still terrified she could be hurt or killed, come to realize that this is part of who Bronwyn is – she’s not a figurehead, just there to look pretty; she protects her people and knows what needs to be done.
The only problem? I’m not ready to be done with these characters!
In the third installment of the Faery trilogy, we find ourselves immersed yet again between two worlds.
Lachlan and Shim know that Bronwyn is their destined mate, the one who will unite them. They have come to her in her dreams and as she dreamt of them, she hoped that they would become real.
There are many battles to be fought, for their kingdom and for the love of their mate.
I seriously am always amazed at the worlds authors can build. I could totally transport myself into that world with all the vivid details. I also love that Lexi creates very strong female characters. Bronwyn does not stand aside and let the men do it all, she is right in the middle of it. Also, their chemistry is sizzling. All combined it makes a great conclusion to this trilogy..
What a perfect way to end the series! Shim, Lachlan and Bronwyn are destined to be together. Bronwyn is stronger than even she knows and she will discover that, if the two men in her life will let her. If you haven’t started this series and you like paranormal/faery tales you definitely need to read the series. Loved it!
Beauty is the final book in this Paranormal Romance trilogy. After getting to know all the wonderful characters in the first two books, we meet Bronwyn, Beck and Cian’s sister, who was killed thirteen years ago when Torin, their uncle killed their parents and her taking over the throne. Lachlan and Shim are twins who bonded with Bronwyn when they saved her life many years ago, mating them for life. But they could only visit each other in their dreams. Until a dream became a reality. All the creatures of the lands have now joined forces to take down King Torin to get the rightful kings and queens on the thrones. An epic love story, lots of really hot love scenes, and very funny moments! As I loved all of these books I wish it would have been a little longer. More about Lachlan, Shim and Bronwyn and that they had more time to bond. And also the ending battle happened way too fast as I had hoped there was more story to that. Still give it five stars as I enjoyed this trilogy very much!
3.25 stars. Beauty is the third book in the Faery series and is Lachlan, Shim and Bronwyn’s book. Lachlan and Shim are symbiotic twins, Unseelie princes and vampires. They have known for years that their destined mate is Bronwyn, who is the younger sister of Beck and Cian from Bound, book one. They have seen her in their dreams, but never met her. When she was a young teen, her family was torn apart by tragedy and she is thought to be dead. But she was saved by Shim and Lachlan’s sister and taken away to the refugee plain. There she has lived anonymously in hiding. Lachlan and Shim thought she was dead, but the three of them meet in their dreams. When war threatens the Seelies and Unseelies, Lach and Shim find out that Bronwyn is still alive and go to save her from evil forces that threaten to take over everything.
I liked this story in general. I liked Bronwyn and her guys. But I needed more happy time together between them. They are separated for much of the book and, when they weren’t, they were mostly fighting. I thought this was a good fantasy story and ending to the series, but I wanted a bit more romance. The end felt rushed without enough resolution (or a romantic making up scene). The epilogue was not even focused on them. I felt like Bron, Shim and Lach had been through a lot and I would have loved to see them together and finally happy, after having worked everything out. Still, I did enjoy the book in general.
Overall, this was a pretty good fantasy read. Bronwyn, Shim and Lachlan were perfect for each other. I have really enjoyed this series and I look forward to whatever Ms. Blake comes up with next.
This book hit all the right notes for me and was a fabulous conclusion to the trilogy. More layers were added to the rich universe that was developed in the first two books. Bron, Shim and Lach were compelling lead characters – and very hot together. I loved, once again, watching each character go through their own self-discovery – this was a theme that ran through all three books. All the key players from Bound and Beast reappeared, along with new characters and a few surprising character twists – and if you are a fan of the Bliss series, this book delivered so many treats.
A fantastic conclusion to an epic series!! In this story and in the overall series there is adventure, loyalty, war and forgiveness. They were united against the great evil and along the way they had time for some steamy and hot moments. Overall I would recommend the series!
Beauty by Lexi Blake is book Three in the A Faery Story Series. This is the story of Bronwyn Finn, Lach and Shim McIver. I have read the previous book but feel this can be a standalone book.
Bronwyn’s family was wiped out by her evil Uncle and he took over their Kingdom. Bronwyn was able to escape vowing to get revenge in addition to finding her dream princes. Lach and Shim know that their fated mate is out there. They are on a mission now to find her.
Enjoyed this hot story.
What do you do when you find out your dreams have always been true? When the truth that you knew before, and what you have come to know, is not true? When you have been bonded/married for years, and only 2/3 of that triad knew? When the girl, who grew into a woman, isn’t completely onboard with the plans you’ve been making for years? When everything, and everyone, is so confusing and absolutely nothing is what you thought? Bron, Shim, and Lach all have this happen to them in varying degrees
But they also have an unyielding attraction, a pull that ties them together. They stumble a bit, and fall a few times, but they make it together. They have a few laughs, they learn more about the others, they learn lots about themselves. They suffer agonizing pain, before they find their happiness, find the balance, and build a strong future, together, as it was always supposed to be
Beauty by Lexi Blake/Sophie Oak, the third book in her Faery Story trilogy just blew me away! This story is the quintessential Romantic Fantasy! It has everything you would want in this type of story: heroic characters, ultimate sacrifices, unexpected heroes/heroines, epic battles, and, of course, true love with a Happily Ever After. Readers should start with the first two books in the trilogy, Bound and Beast for continuity of the story. Three super fantastic stories. Not to be missed!
An epic masterpiece comes together in the third book of the Faery Story. Beauty is filled with adventure, fantastic worlds, humor, sexy times, and so much love. It has combined all of Lexi’s greatest talents into one fantastic story.
This is the beginning of the end to an epic battle through multiple worlds filled with Fae, gnomes, vampires, shapeshifters, hags, and other fantastic creatures. The world is at stake and only some will survive. So prepare yourself because this a great tale.
Lach and Shim, princes of the Unseelie kingdom, have known Bronwyn is their mate for years. Shim, the King of Fire, and Lach, the King of the Dead, formed a bond with Bronwyn thirteen years ago sight unseen. Unbeknownst to the Seelie princess this saved her life, as this was also the day of her death. With a known price on her head Bronwyn went into hiding, but her mates never gave up hope that one day they would be together. It just took a little longer than they initially planned.
Thirteen years passed and war was breaking out on the Seelie world. It saddened Bronwyn to see her world begin to crumble, but deep down she knew she could no longer stay in hiding. Everyone thought the princess was dead, and she knows it is time to finally let the world know the truth. It is time to fight.
When Lach and Shim arrive to sweep Bron back to their world to basically lock her away and keep her safe, Bron has other intentions. Not the delicate flower they believe her to be, she will not let her world fall down around her when she has every ability to fight. Her mates will learn that just because she is not a man does not make her less useful than they are.
Lach and Shim have never stopped believing that Bronwyn is their mate. She is the bond that connects the halves of their shared soul, but losing her is the last thing they want. Can they risk losing her in battle? Can they risk losing her spirit by locking her away? She is more powerful than she realizes and she is everything they could ever want.
Great characters, perfect conclusion
Though you could probably enjoy this on its own, this is the conclusion of story arcs carrying through the entire Faery Story trilogy, so I recommend reading the series in order. Fans of the author’s Nights in Bliss, Colorado series will get a kick out of Easter eggs related to the series.
Bronwyn is a far cry from the sheltered 14 year old princess whose life was torn apart when her uncle killed her parents (and attempted to kill her and her brothers). As for Shim and Lach, Unseelie Fae princes, no one believes they have already bonded with someone they haven’t even met. All three of these people have been perceived as weak or thought of themselves as weak, and this is really the story of each of them finding their strength and making a stand in spite of their own fears and what other people think.
The world building continues to be on point for this interpretation of Faery legends and parallel worlds. As for secondary characters, the gang from the earlier books all have a role here (I loved the scene of Meg and Kaja meeting Shim and Lach ) and there are a few new ones to love (Duffy and Gillian) and hate (we finally meet the usurper) as well.
As always with this author, there are great characters, plus lots of humor, suspense, plot twists, and tons of heat in a story that also manages to evoke plenty of emotion. A perfect conclusion for the trilogy, I still really want a story for Gillian and the men who want to win her, lol. 5 stars
