“He moves closer to me and his eyes are so piercing it sends shivers racing over my skin. ‘I live you, Quinn.’ … ‘You live me?’ I whisper in awe. ‘I live you. I love you. I want to spend every second of every day with you. You’re my now and forever.”
Heartbreaking and emotional, reminiscent of the first book which just blew me away when I first met these characters, now parents to Eli and Ethan. A chance meeting commences an endearing and romantic friends to lovers between Eli and Quinn, and tragic events ignite them in flames. The same endearing qualities that made me fall for their father in Predator, rush to the surface and had me falling for the quiet alpha in Eli. The pain of the characters was felt through my gut, but their determination and healing was the balm. This book held so many beautiful relationships other than Eli and Quinn, and gave me a few breadcrumbs to get excited for the next installment. Incredibly heartfelt and moving, and I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

4.5 stars for Beautifully Hurt by the lovely Michelle Heard!!
Beautiful story filled with gut wrenching emotion that will have you drawn in until the very end. Quinn has been in love with Eli since she was a teen. After years of admiring him from afar, she’s happy when Eli finally comes to her rescue. Unfortunately for them, tragedy strikes early in their relationship, and the town is left shaken and grieving. It takes Eli’s strength and patience to get Quinn through her sorrow. This book had me gasping, laughing and almost weeping right along with the characters. I loved their strength and resilience to move on from the past and create a wonderful future together.
First I want to say these covers (the Beautifully Broken books) are absolutely stunning.
Ms. Heard once again delivers an outstanding story.
So emotionally charged and heartbreaking.
But through it all she gives a ray of sunshine through the dark and cloudy skies.
I loved Eli and Quinn.
They are relatable down to earth people.
Quinn is quite and shy.
She’s always had a crush on Eli.
Eli truly is his parents son.
He’s protective, loving and gentle.
He doesn’t demand and has finesse and patience with Quinn.
Their relationship starts slowly and builds.
It was so heartwarming and brought a smile to me face.
Then when tragedy strikes Quinn.
And she near destroyed.
Eli is there to help put her back together again.
What they go through is gut wrenching and utterly devastating.
But these two beautiful characters and the authors superb writing repaired my heart and soul.
Such a beautiful love story
Beautiful and heart wrenching story. Eli and Quinn have to go through so much heartbreak. This book is well written and will have you in tears. I loved these characters. Another amazing story from this author.
A just blossoming flower, that’s what Quinn is and Eli is realizing what a treasure she is, but he also knows that she’s very innocent. He describes her as a “happy breeze that has the power of a tornado to know me on my a@s”. That is the perfect description of her. The unimaginable happens and Eli is still there as her rock going forward. “Focus on the Now”, words to live by. This was a very sweet and fulfilling read for me. Loved his proposal, just a kiss. Loved the overall story and they got their HEA. Can’t wait for Ethan’s story.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Eli and Quinn were the perfect couple to complete each other both flawed and when serious issues arise you want the Jacksons behind you.I absoultly loved Elis family, the way they had each others back and supported the people they loved at no cost, nothing stops or gets in the way of the Jacksons. This was beautifully written and I loved all the characters and the story just pulled you in for that second chance of happiness.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book
Heartwrenching, suspenseful and emotion-filled Beautifully Hurt put me through the wringer.
Eli and Quinn’s story began with a sweet young love story that completely drew me in. I was rooting hard for these two so when their world was shattered I was caught by surprise. Eli soon became the gentle, persistent and steadfast protector Quinn needed in her corner. My heart ached for them and how their love was put to the test. Eli shot to the top of my book boyfriend list though with how he rose to every challenge thrown their way.
Two of the things I enjoy the most about my reads are the journey they take me on and how they make me feel. I laughed, cried, smiled, sobbed and swooned througout this book and honestly the title couldn’t have been more perfect. Beautifully Hurt took me on a poignant, heartgripping and hope-filled journey of loss, survival and love.
**4,5 “I’ve got you!!!” stars***
“What beauty can ever come from something so horrible?”
I love this author!!! She is making my heart thump wildly inside my heart with each story she writes…
She gives me the world and then, abruptly, in just a single moment, she is pulling the rag out of my feet and she is shattering my heart in a million tiny pieces!!!
This was another one emotional journey in this beautiful, but haunting series!!!
Another difficult ride full of heartache and second chances in life!!!
This was about love in the purest form and even though, it wrecked me, if I had the choice to bypass it or read it again for the first time, I will take the latter choice, cause this story deserves it!!!
“People will come into your life, and they will hurt you. It’s up to you whether you’re going to give them the power to destroy the rest of your life. Are you going to let them win, or are you going to fight back and reclaim your life?”
Eli and Quinn…
Two young people who are living in the same town since the day they were born.
Eli was the oldest son of the Jackson family and he is running their business…
Quinn is working across the road along with her best friend…
Quinn is in love with Eli since she was a teenager, but she was too shy to do anything about it…
Eli noticed her recently, but he knows that she is a special girl and he wants to go easy on her….
A young love that is starting slowly to bloom, until tragedy strucks before they even realize what they mean to each other…
“I have nothing left in me. No fight, no will -just nothing.”
Now, Quinn is devastated and scared. She is going down the rabbit hole of grieve and she don’t know how to pull herself out of this hole…
Eli is there to pick up the pieces, even though they are not together for long…
Will he manage to pull her out of her head before it is too late???
Will his feelings be enough for Quinn to fight desperation and start living again???
Is he strong enough to protect her for the evil that is lurking in the dark???
Is there a hope for these two after everything that happened???
“It’s okay to break, Quinn. You don’t have to be strong. I’ve got you.”
I loved Eli and Quinn…. They were two beautiful souls!!!
Eli had been raised to become a strong and decent man. He was his father’s son after all!!! Always the protector… Nina, his mother was a tortured creature who can help them in this difficult time!!!
Eli’s feelings for Quinn is hiting him hard and no matter what, he is determined to stay by his loved one side and take care of her!!!
“Never back away from your fears, son. Facing a fear head-on is the only way to overcome it.”
Quinn was so sweet and full of light… But in an instant her light was consumed by evil and darkness fell upon her life… I was hurting so much for her. I just wanted to hug her and shelter her from this cruel and unfair world… But thank God for her, she had powerful allies by her side… From the moment that Eli claimed her, she became a member of the Jackson family and that was something so precious!!!!
“I never thought the seventeen-year-old boy I fell in love with would turn out to be my hero.”
This was another one heartbreaking story by Michelle Heard’s beautiful pen!!!
I love these characters and I love the twists that she is giving us through these stories, even though they are wrecking me!!!
And I’m waiting impatiently for the last story!!! I’m really wondering what she will give us next…
The only sure thing is that I need the tissues on hand by my side to get through it!!!
“Live for both of us…”
**I received an Arc for the exchange of an honest review**
Wow! I thought the first book broke my heart…
although this is a standalone it can be read as part of a series.
This book is beautifully written and emotional.
Eli and Quinn will steal your heart… talk about soul mates.
How are you meant to feel when the one person you couldn’t protect was your world?
Love how the Jackson family stood by each other and just circled the wagons supporting and protecting Quinn.
This one definitely pulls at the heartstrings, have tissues ready.
A definite must read
This is the second book in the interconnected series. It’s as heartbreaking, gut wrenching and emotional roller coaster as the first book. I absolutely am in love with the cover and can’t get enough of it , it’s just so beautiful. The story is heartbreaking, suspenseful and poignant. It’s a story where love is tested and everything starts off sweet and it gives you a feeling of security and boom everything changes . Michelle writing and story telling is at another level and par excellence with this series. This is another masterpiece which left me speechless and spellbound. Absolutely phenomenal and unputdownable. A must read.
°**°5-Stars for the book that hurt and healed my soul °**°
Wow, there is not a book written by Author Michelle Heard that I haven’t absolutely loved!!! I loved both Eli and Quinn, and while their story is also devastating and traumatic, it has been written with a dark careful sensitivity that doesn’t make it overly descriptive, but still left me with such a broken heart and tearful for Quinn’s loss.
BEAUTIFULLY HURT can be read as a complete stand-a-lone, and for a bit I did think it was unconnected to BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN, until Eli’s mother talks with him about how he can love and support a traumatised Quinn. This was my aha(!) moment and I realised that Alex and Nina Jackson, Eli’s parents, were the new assumed names of our couple from BROKEN.
Quinn was quiet and shy, and she’d crushed on Eli for so many years, barely believing it when Eli noticed her working in the flower shop opposite his parent’s hardware store. Their relationship was definitely a slow burn due to her shyness and then the trauma, but Eli’s love and protection was almost a character unto itself, a character trait his father also carried. For me there was so many moments of grief and of healing that it turned into a tear-fest. One of my favourite quotes from Eli relates to his parents’ book:
“I live you, Quinn.” Glancing up, I say, “I’ve heard your parents saying that to each other.”“Yeah, Dad says love is too much like hate. It comes and goes, but you only get one life. You’re the one for me in this life, so I live you.”
I just loved the whole feel of this book. While Alex and Nina’s story totally broke my heart, it was Eli and Quinn’s story, while no less devastating, that had a healing vibe about it. And I believe it is because I got to see that Eli’s parents had continued to heal and grow, raising a family with two very honourable awesome young men that are as protective, supportive and loving as their father. That is a life well-lived. That is a life spent well-loved.
Ms Heard also introduced the characters in her next book, BEAUTIFULLY DESTROYED. It also will be a stand-a-lone with connected characters, being Finlay, Quinn’s cousin, and Ethan, Eli’s brother. I know my heart will again be broken, but it doesn’t dent my anticipation one iota. 5-Stars for this book that hurt my heart, and a recommendation to read it, and to also check out the first book, BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN °**°

Gut-wrenching, soul- piercing, beautiful story about healing.
Every once in awhile you find a story that utterly destroys you. This is one of them!
I didn’t think my heart could take anymore after reading Alex and Nina and I was right.
Eli and Quinn broke me..
I cried, I fought back ugly tears as I forged my way through the utter devastation that this story brought. I didn’t think I’d make it to the end without anymore tears falling.
Pulling you into the depths of every emotion and pain, each chapter captivates you in a way you need to keep going.
Prepare for ugly tears, heartbreaking pain and utter swoon as you fall in love with Eli and Quinn.
Ethan will have you swoon, fall in love and swoon all over again as he brings life back to Quinn.
I loved it, even though they go through horrible things it still this good old fashioned love story that grips you from the beginning till the end.
You’re not going to know you need this book until you start reading it and then it will be everything you’ve wanted and more. Michelle’s characters will give you all the feels. Loved this book!
“Remember when I first taught you how to shoot a gun?” “You told me you were scared,” he says. “Do you recall what I said to you on that day?’ I nod. “You said everybody has at least one fear.” “I told you my fear was that I wouldn’t be able to protect you,”
Anticipation – heightens your expectations of what promises to happen, but the when and how remain a mystery. In a nutshell that explains my emotions and thoughts whilst reading Beautifully Hurt. My stomach was in my throat waiting for the world to end, whilst I was hopeful for the romance. Ms Heard writes stories that are relatable and you connect with the characters on a level that has you experiencing every emotion. Written from dual points of view and I loved the conversations between Quinn and Katie. Can be read as a standalone or get the whole experience by reading each book of the Beautifully Broken Series.
what a beautiful and emotional book.. Michelle has a way to write a story that will live deep in your body and make you feel all the feels. I absolutely fell in love with Eli and Quinn <3
Quinn loved Eli since she was a teen.. not thinking she ever stood a chance she figures she can love him from afar..
Eli has always had his eyes on Quinn.. knowing how reserved she is he never wanted to rush anything with her.
Until one night when when a horrific tragedy strikes.. leaving Quinn far from the girl she once was.. Eli is there.. with time and patience he is hoping he can bring the girl he has always loved back to him..
I loved every word of this story.. Michelle ripped my heart out.. but like she always does.. she slowly puts it back together. Thank you Michelle Heard for the beautiful words..
Omg.
If you thought the previous book gutted you, wait until you read this one.
Unlike the first one this book starts off quietly, I was lulled into a false sense of security, and that was my mistake. As when disaster struck the town…there are no words, especially none that won’t give it away.
The strength of both the main characters will inspire you, I’m so glad they had each other and their families to lean on.
I’m not going to get over this book for a long time.
This story about Eli and Quinn is a true romance but it has a much darker element that stirs all those emotions too. I am a tad slow because it took me a bit to realise the same characters that were in book one, Beautifully Broken, we’re also a part of this story. In actual fact, it is perfect discovering what happens next in their lives too. However, if you haven’t read the first book, which you totally should because it is unbelievably good, it doesn’t matter as you can read this as a standalone.
Eli is such a wonderful guy but then his parents are both so terrific how could he not be? He’s a straight up sort of fellow who is hardworking and supportive of his family and friends. Quinn is a sweetheart who is quite shy, I love how much stronger she becomes as the story progresses. Together these two immediately share an intense bond that seems to have sparks flying from their fiery chemistry. The gentle courtship between the two is what enhances this book though, so well written.
The mystery of the situation that takes place to cause such trauma to Quinn and others is devastating and heartbreaking. There is really no easy way to express how deeply devastating it is, yet the way in which it was written is carefully crafted and very well balanced. I am once again in awe of this author’s creative and literary talents.
This fast-paced story had me so engrossed right from the beginning that before I knew it, I was halfway through the story. I honestly couldn’t put it down and nothing around me even entered my space. I think a cyclone could have hit and I would have been like ‘what happened?’ later on. It’s the beautiful telling of this tale, the suspense and the wonderful feeling it leaves you with after you’ve finished reading. Now I am desperately in need of Ethan and Finlay’s story.
What an emotionally charged story! Yet again this author writes a story that will embed itself into your heart and soul. My heart was broken and put back together and I fell in love with Eli and Quinn. They have known each other for years and both had feelings for each other but never acted on it. Until one day Eli decides to take a chance with Quinn. These two are perfect for each other. Both are kind, caring and loyal people. But when something tragic happens to Quinn, can they both get thru it together?
Eli is a natural protector especially when it comes to Quinn. And Quinn has the biggest heart and no one should have to go thru what she did. But she is strong and resilient and I hoped throughout that she would heal from what happened. When I read a book and it makes me laugh or cry, I know it’s one of which I would highly recommend, and I most definitely do with this one!
4*
Quinn spots Eli when leaving work, feeling uncomfortable when Steve starts approaching her she convinced him to play along.
She’s his sunshine and their friendship is solid until she meets Roy and they start dating and become serious.
A blast from the past destroys her now but can she achieve another forever?
I loved how strong Quinn became and the determination of Eli to help and make things right.
