I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished the first book in the series. I was swept up in this story right for the start. Claire Raye took me on a ride that I never wanted to end. Its sweet, sensuous, gripping, and enthralling.
I’m hooked on hard for Lewis Bristol. This tattooed, charm the pants off you, sexy accented, and immensely loyal man, just up and stole my heart. Ava is one lucky woman. He’s at the top of my list of book boyfriends.
Ava is taken on a whirlwind of a journey after meeting Lewis. All it took was a look and banter that puts each other to the test. She’s stunning, kick***, fierce, and determined. You’ll soon find out that she’s not one to be messed with.
I couldn’t out this book down! Its everything you could want! I throughly enjoyed every second of it and I can’t wait for the next book!
Beautful Trouble is book 2 in the Dirty Hollywood series by Claire Raye. This story follows Ava who we met in Beautiful Secret (book 1) when she was the personal assistant to famous Hollywood actress Julia Harris. While working for Julia in London Ava had a fling with a Hot Bar Owner named Lewis. Now that she is back in London for a new job she finds herself outside of Lewis bar wondering how he will react to seeing her after she left 3 months ago without so much as a goodbye
Ava and Lewis story was a whirlwind romance that was passionate, romantic and felt so genuine. Their relationship progressed quickly but still felt so natural. They went through a lot in this book dealing with building a strong and long lasting relationship while Ava navigated a demanding job working in one of the toughest industry’s where money, fame and power tend to drown out integrity and hard work
Ava was such a strong minded, determined and driven character while also being fun and flirty. I loved the way she cared about the people in her life and how selfless she could be at times. Lewis was such an amazing guy. He was charismatic, sexy, loyal, protective and so supportive of Ava and everything she was dealing with. He was the perfect balance to her crazy hectic life and I fell in love with him every step of the way
In this book we got an even bigger glimpse into the dirty side of fame and the movie making industry and how hard it can be to speak out and take action. It was both eye opening and intriguing to read about and I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to continue this series with book 3
I am still at a loss for words. Bravo, to Claire Raye for leaving me completely speechless, even a day after finishing this book. I DEVOURED this book. I completely fell in love with Lewis, Ava, and their story. These two are complete opposites of each other, but they are so insanely perfect for each other. Their story started at 100 and stayed there the entire time.
Now, I could probably write this entire review about how much I love Lewis, but I won’t. You just need to read this one for yourself and see why this man is hands down one of the best boyfriends known to man.
Beautiful Trouble has it all. It is the perfect mix of romance, heat, and the dark side of Hollywood. Ava, who was previously introduced in Beautiful Secret as Julia’s personal assistant, is now living in London and working for a famous director. Her new boss, well he’s a piece of work. He is demanding, controlling, abusive and overall, just one big jerk. He is a bully, however, due to his power most people aren’t willing to stand up against him.
Lewis and Ava knew that one night would never be enough. They were drawn to each other and there was something there they have never felt for another person. It was fast, quick, but there is no denying how much feelings these two have for each other. They balance each other out. Lewis knows that Ava is fiercely independent and doesn’t try to hold her back. He is protective and possessive, but knows his limits.
The world that Claire Raye have created with this series is intriguing, dark and addicting. Beautiful Trouble dove into the dark depths of Hollywood and the film industry. Ava wasn’t afraid to battle the lies and deception, especially with Lewis as moral support. With the details and glimpses we got of secondary characters throughout this story I am DYING to see what is in store for book three.
Beautiful Trouble is not only a MUST READ for numerous reasons, but it is also hands down one of my top books of 2020.
Thank you, Claire Raye, for this copy in exchange for an honest review, for writing Lewis Bristol and for the Fast and the Furious reference.
Beautiful Trouble is book two in the Dirty Hollywood series, and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading book 1, Beautiful Secret, in order to really get the full picture of everything. We first met Ava in Beautiful Secret, and I knew there was something she was hiding. Who knew she was hiding a freaking hottie bartender in Lewis Bristol.
Ava is back in London and back with the man who was supposed to be nothing more than a night, but whom quickly turned into her husband. Lewis and Ava may not know everything about each other, but there is no denying the connection and chemistry between them is a once in a lifetime thing. Ava is back at work and her new boss is less than friendly. Add in the fact that Lewis’ ex has figured out he’s married and the two have a whole heap of crap to deal with.
This book was absolutely amazing. I was intrigued with Ava meeting her in the first book, and I’m so glad we got to see her get her happily ever after. She is a strong and independent woman, but Lewis makes her even stronger. Lewis is an alpha male, he knows what he wants and he gets it, but he is also so romantic and sweet when it comes to Ava. They have an amazing relationship in and out of the bedroom, and the support they have for each other and the trust and love was honestly inspiring. I also loved that we got to revisit with Julia and Aiden, and I felt like we met some new characters in this book, that give me hope that this series will continue on for multiple books! Can I give this more than 5 stars?? Because it deserves all of the stars!
A great love story about instant chemistry and just knowing when it’s right. Love, love, love Ava & Lewis and all their steamy chemistry! Claire Raye really sets herself apart as a writer in this genre by continuously infusing the importance of self-respect and honesty. Absolutely love how the female leads always has that strong, respectful male counterpart. Great series!!
Thank you to @claire_raye_author for the ARC of #BeautifulTrouble which was read and reviewed voluntarily.
Beautiful Trouble was super flirty, romantic, and steamy! In Beautiful Secret we’re introduced to Ava and her “fling” while in London. Beautiful Trouble gives a more inside look into what happened with Ava and her beautiful secret. Ava’s man is Lewis Bristol and you’ll absolutely fall for him! Lewis Bristol is completely taken by Ava from the beginning! He’s everyone’s dream book boyfriend (husband!) Lewis is a romantic charming alpha who’s sexy as hell! He’s so perfect for Ava. Ava is sweet, thoughtful and a badass woman overall.
I could not stop OBSESSING over Ava and Lewis! Their love is so real, raw and completely pure. Beautiful Trouble was filled with everything you’d want and so much more! From the drama, the romance and sexy steam!
I want to completely go back and reread it again because it was SO amazing! The Claire Raye ladies completely outdid themselves in Beautiful Trouble! Thank y’all for poring your hearts into Ava and Lewis!
I’ve been dying for Ava’s story since the first book finished, and her story did NOT disappoint. Lewis and Ava are seriously the perfect couple, even though they meet in an unconventional way (and get married a little unconventionally, too). What I appreciate most about their story is that, even though times get really tough, they stick it out. They stay together. This isn’t like other romance novels I’ve read where someone bails when times get tough – and I absolutely love that.
I also love that Ava is such a strong lead character. Even when faced with some incredibly awful people and incredibly awful situations, she holds strong and stays true to who she is. Ava is more awesome than she was in the first book, and she was pretty freaking awesome in the first one.
And don’t even get me started on the hot and hopeless romantic known as Lewis. He is truly Ava’s equal and is the most incredible husband, businessman, and friend. He goes through his own share of awful situations but holds true and holds strong – just like his wife.
Man, I loved this book. Definitely will wind up being one of my favorite reads of 2020. I can’t wait for the next installment, because it’s going to be GOOD.
Thanks to Claire Raye for providing an advanced copy of this book. It was fantastic.
Beautiful Trouble is a whirlwind start to finish. It picks up right where Beautiful Secret left off which I loved. Ava’s time in London was such a mystery in that book that I really enjoyed getting to know all about what she was doing in her off time. Turns out she was spending all her free time with Lewis. I can’t blame her though, he is sexy, sweet and established. Their no strings attached beginning quickly turns into way more. This is almost an insta-love story with how quickly their relationship develops in this book. I didn’t mind that though. Plenty of the book is devoted to them strengthening their bond and fighting for what they believe in, in and out of their relationship. One random complaint I have about this book, Lewis’ pet name for Ava is “Sweet Girl”, which kind of grossed me out every time he said it, which was often. I did warn you that my complaint was random though…
