Getting dumped sucks. Getting dumped by your boyfriend days before your best friend’s wedding? It doesn’t get much worse.Did I mention that the guy who cut me loose was country music’s number one rising star? And my client.I thought I was walking into a proposal. Instead, I crashed right into humiliation—dumped and fired. The silver lining? In a restaurant, there’s plenty of wine to drown my … plenty of wine to drown my feelings.
In strolls Tyler Nichols, the restaurant owner. He’s charming, handsome and does a good job of trying to make me feel better. A really good job. Sharing my heartbreak with a beautiful stranger is the last thing that I expected.
Turns out, Tyler Nichols is my ex’s best friend. And according to the local gossips—mainly my cousin—he’s got a mysterious past.
No worries, I’m the gal with everything going for her—great job, fabulous apartment and a glamorous life half way across the country in sunny Los Angeles—far away from my hometown and my family’s bourbon empire. I’ll be leaving after the weekend wedding festivities.
That is until my best friend, Sage, finds herself in a jam and needs my help before jetting off on her honeymoon.
So, I’m staying in Mayfield a little longer than anticipated. In just a few short weeks, I’ll march my happy ass back to the West Coast, far away from Tyler’s smoldering gaze and his panty-melting smile. And the chemistry between us that burns hotter than a hickory stump.
But the longer I’m in town, the harder it is to stay away from him. And maybe I don’t want to.

Christy Pastore delivers a beautifully written book with a seductive and sweet storyline. This is the perfect romance that pulls you slowly, keeps a hold of you from beginning to end and leaves you with a happy, fulfilled heart.
Can I just take a minute to savor this story? Small town romances tend to be my jive within contemporary romances (which admittedly aren’t necessarily my thing). The nostalgia, the unique characters, the close relationships. I will pick a small town story of just about any kind any day.
I felt, feel, a little conflicted on my thoughts with this book. For me, there are positive and not so positive within the telling of this story, but obviously the positive outweighed the not so positive.
I will be straight forward. I struggled with the first part of this book. The first quarter or so felt under developed. I was having a tough time connecting to the story and its characters. It was too mechanical. This part of the book only told me what was going on, but it didn’t do much of showing me. Sometimes the showing part is important for the chemistry with each character.
At some point, the book all of a sudden started clicking. Things started to fall in place. The characters took me into their story and held me there. I didn’t stop reading until I got to the very end of this book. I loved the characters, who they are, what they stand for. They aren’t your typical “rich” characters you find in other books. That is a big shining point for me.
Overall, this is a sweet, romantic, a little heartbreaking, and happy small town story that will resonate in many readers’ hearts. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and angst that will leave you with a full heart.
DREAMY’S REVIEW
Beautiful Match by Christy Pastore is a friends to lovers, emotional romance with a depth that you don’t really expect at first.
If you’re into the sweeter side of romance in small-towns with light angst and drama and slow-burning goodness, this is the book for you!
Right from the very first few pages, you’re taken by what’s happening and you are left wondering exactly where Pastore will take you next.
She writes in such a way that you can feel what her characters are going through, what they’re dealing with, and the emotions that course through them.
Pastore is able to tell a beautiful love story between our heroine and hero, Haven and Tyler, that is simple and sweet with a dash of steam.
These two bonded over bourbon, heartache, small town gossip, and friendships.
“I feel something, something strange. But a good strange. These feelings all seem new.”
Small-town rumors and gossip are nothing new to Haven and Tyler. Although, Tyler has a secret that he doesn’t want exposed. What happens if it does?
“I should tread lightly, be careful. Trust no one. Keep my feelings guarded. How can I be careful when she makes me feel completely at ease?”
*****
I loved Haven and Tyler, as individuals and as a couple. I love how they built upon a solid foundation and continues to blossom and growing into something worth more. They are both smart, kind, and have a heart of gold having experience such deep pains in their lives!
“She managed to fill the empty parts of my life that I never knew were hollow. I never realized how much I wanted someone to share my secrets with—not really, until her.”
Haven and Tyler’s sweet story went into depth with exploring trust when it’s been broken, vulnerability, being true to who you are and wholeheartedly accepting it.
Beautiful March is a heartfelt romance that makes you feel good while reading! I could not put this down the minute I picked it up!
That’s what Christy Pastore books do to you!
Five sweet and dreamy stars:
Blew me out of the water amazing!!!
I honestly don’t have the words too give this book justice, It had me from page one. Seriously it truly did.
Books that deal with any form of child abuse or child endangerment hold a very special place in my heart. And when the child(ren) get their very amazing endding it makes that book a million times better. Thanks Christy for writing this
Beautiful March was a book that had me from the second I read the synopsis. I could not wait to get my hands on this story for find out what happened and believe me, it did not disappoint.
The way the book starts had me double checking what story I had picked up to read. It definitely starts off completely different than I expected and in such a heartbreaking way. We get to give a peek into Tyler’s life as a child and believe me, it had me so emotional. Once we get this important back piece to the story the author jumps to the present and some questions I already had get answered.
When we finally get to see Haven I was right away drawn to her personality. She was strong, funny and although she always felt like an outsider and had it tough growing up in a small town she didn’t let that stop her from being a good person.
This book really does have it all. There is drama, heartbreak, amazing chemistry and because of that chemistry, some hot steamy moments. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and unable to put this book down.
You will definitely want to get your hands on this book ASAP!- Alisa
This is the first book I’ve read by Christy Pastore and I’m really glad I gave this book a try. When I found out the setting for most of this book was Mayfield, KY, I knew I had to read it. I wasn’t disappointed. I loved Tyler and Haven’s story. I can’t wait to read the future books that will be set in Kentucky. I bet you will fall in love with some these characters too and want to read more about them. If you enjoy a slow burn romance set in a small town, you will love this book.
Loved Tyler and Haven!! What a great couple. They’ve got incredible chemistry, a great connection and honesty.
I always enjoy how Christy Pastore tells a story! It’s well written, it flows, it’s got a few twists, some drama and great people.
Tyler and Haven are drawn to each other. He’s got a huge past he confides in her about. Haven cares for Tyler so much and feel so drawn to him so quickly! It’s a great couple who you fall in love with…. how they get to happily ever after is a great story!! Read it for sure!!
Wow! This is an amazing small town romance with a lot of twists.
Haven and Tyler meet under less than ideal circumstances and then find themselves thrown together as their best friends get married. They try really hard to fight their attraction. Their chemistry is off the charts and they genuinely like each other but secrets from the past threaten to tear them apart.
I really liked this couple and found myself rooting for them early on (like as soon as they met!) A very fun and somewhat angsty story.
Wonderful Small Town Romance!
This was a wonderful small town romance with Haven just having been dumped by her douche boyfriend in a setting that looked more like a proposal was coming. As Haven sits back licking her wounds, along comes Tyler who is the restaurant’s owner. He feels bad for how his friend dumped Haven, and to be honest, he is drawn to her. He sits with her while she vents from her experience.
Haven is in town for her best friend’s wedding, and she is pleasantly surprised to discover that Tyler is in the wedding party! The two are drawn to each other and decide to get to know each other while Haven is staying for the month in town. The two are attracted to each other, and although Tyler tries to be a gentleman, eventually their chemistry and attraction has to be acted upon.
I really enjoyed this story, and felt that the journey for these two was a fun high, with a bit of angst and lots of steam in between. The characters are written in a way that you feel like you know them personally and you’re personally invested in the success of the relationship between Haven and Tyler. And this book leaves you easy and waiting for more from this town’s characters!
I was riveted from the first page. A story of small towns of tragedy of love and of family.
Tyler and Haven are a lovely couple and have an instant connection that develops slowly into a truly meaningful relationship. I couldn’t put it down until The End. Happily this begins a series of stand alone but connected small town romances.
What an amazing book and this is a very new to me author… The only thing I wish, I wish I had more of Haven and Tyler. This couple just permeated love and lust in a small town. Haven is at the top of her game as a PR rep for some the best in music and movies. Now she is back in her home town for best friend’s wedding. She is back in the small town that had made her feel unwelcome, but what she finds is so much better.
Tyler’s (Winston) story is one of heartache, but he doesn’t let that get him down. He fights to keep his past in the past, but as he meets a beautiful woman at his restaurant, feelings change. As Tyler and Haven get to know each other they both find that they have so much in common. This couple together can be a true powerhouse for their small town.
“Oh, beautiful woman, I’m so taken with you. I’d take a million changes with you”

Ok, I have to start by saying that I’ve not read anything like this from this author before. From the first few words my heart was in my mouth and as I went in completely blind I had no idea what to expect. The emotions in this book are so raw and real that my heart was literally broken before if even finished the prologue. I don’t want to give anything away but I have to say that I highly recommend this book. The angst, drama and emotions are mixed in with good times, laughs and great characters. I couldn’t put it down!!
Beautiful March by Christy Pastore is an emotional powerhouse that is set in the south and has that southern charm, along with the feels and heat that Ms Pastore is known for. This is Haven and Tyler’s story.
We are introduced to Haven just as her world is flipped upside down. Right about the same time, fate introduces us to Tyler. Haven has come to town for one reason and ends up meeting Tyler and finds out Tyler is tied to her reason for being in town. There are sparks between them. Huge chemistry and connection. I could tell right off the bat that they were destined for great things- IF- they would be opened to each other. There are twists and turns in the story that made me sit on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the sweet moments which brought the feels home. I can’t wait for the next book by Ms. Pastore. I loved the emotions and the steamy moments. This is the kind of book that you want to read to kick back and unwind with.
My Rating: 4.8 stars ********
This book pulled me the moment I read the prologue. I couldn’t stop reading I had to know how this story was going to unfold. The chemistry between Tyler and Haven the first time they meet was so overwhelming I could feel it thru my kindle. I loved this book!! I love the small town feel.. But I grew up and live it one.
Pastore brings us yet another deliciously sexy tale about a romance that stems from the most unfavorable of circumstances. Both, Haven and Tyler, are holding secrets that keep them rooted to where they are in life. Unable to deny their attraction, its really not a matter of if but when. Making yourself vulnerable to someone seems like a relief until you are reminded about how little you really know about the other.
Beautiful March will have you swooning and fanning yourself simultaneously whilst waiting for the other bourbon-filled shoe to drop. Small town romance at its finest.
It’s so hard not to swoon over Tyler Nichols. Tyler is Haven’s knight in shining armor and I think he is one for the community too. I like that he and Haven have a common part of their lives. They also have hearts for giving. They have succeeded in finding themselves in a place of purpose, in a sense trying to get away from their own identities. I love their caring spirits and the slow burn of a relationship that they know is on a timer. It is hot and heavy but sweet, too.
BOOM!
There are second chance romances and then there are there’s Beautiful March!
Smart sharp and edgy writing. The characters were so well developed and so multi layers I read this beautiful in 1-sweep!
Passionate, charming and heartfelt, there’s a little twist in the story to give it some edgy bite. Sorta like a spicy margarita!
Some drama, some passion, stir in some good old fashion small town gossip, and sprinkle some dirty deeds…
You get a delicious fun read!
4.5 stars!
Beautiful March is PERFECTION! A true small town southern love story that pulls you in from the first chapter and has you flipping pages until the end. You will cry, laugh and fall in love with Tyler and Haven.
Beautiful March was a phenomenal southern romance that gripped me. Tyler and Haven’s story is romance novel perfection. Pastore weaved a balance between emotions and humor that will surely captivate you the way it did me. Tyler’s emotional prologue and backstory were heartbreaking, yet he persevered regardless. Haven’s own emotional struggles from her teen years and facing them being back in her hometown made it so relatable. Two strong and independent characters that aren’t afraid to show the other who they are and their vulnerable points. It’s refreshing. Let’s not forget the chemistry between the two main characters. SIZZLING!
Small town romances are my jam. The breathe life into me, and this one created such a realistic small town, that I felt like I was standing in the middle of the gossip and the friendships. Beautiful March is a book you’ll want to devour and witness as it comes to life on the pages you read.
5 Splashes of Bourbon (oh I mean 5 Stars)
This contemporary friends to lovers story will have you wiping at your tears and jumping for joy before you even know what hit ya! Tyler and Haven’s story is beautifully written and filled with tons of emotions, with everything between heartbreaking to heartwarming. There were even a few times I wanted to toss my Kindle.
Tyler Nichols is a businessman and restaurant owner in the small town of Mayfield, Kentucky, while Haven Cardwell is a publicist in LA and the bourbon heiress from the same small town. I totally love the chemistry between these two! Love the slow burning start…..and then WHAM fireworks are going off like crazy!
Can these two make it a go? Maybe they can do the long distance thing? Will the gossip be too much to handle? Will the truth set them both free? Grab this book and find out for yourself!
A bonus for me while reading this book – Grady James makes an appearance! If you have read other books by Ms. Pastore you will know that she does toss a few other characters from previous books into her new stories. Grady is my favorite, but Tyler Nichols is giving him a run for his money!
This book will be marked as a favorite for 2019!
