Beautiful Ever After is book 2 in the Beautiful Illusions Duet. You need to read Eighty-One Nights first, and picks up where the first book let off.
I Absolutely LOVED this duet!!!
Hutch & Lou are such beautifully written characters. Their love for one another is endless. This book is full of so many twists, the plot absolutely captivating. I didn’t want their Beautiful ever after to end!
Another perfect 5 star book from this talented author!!
Beautiful Ever After was the perfect conclusion to this duet. I loved seeing Hutch and Lou finally stick up for and fight for their love and relationship. The best part of this book was seeing Lou come out of her shell and really stick it to Blair.
Seeing some favorite characters from Georgia’s other series was also a treat. I loved how they were willing to help, no questions asked.
This is fun, fast paced duet and perfect to read on the weekends or those vacations that are coming up. I adore Georgia and her writing and I’m so glad she’s back.
What an ending!! This was more than I could’ve expected. I LOVED this book even more than the first in the Duet.
Georgia couldn’t have written a better ending for Lou and Hutch. This story fit them to a tee!!
I still loved the writing idea behind this Duet. The “story” fusion worked really well. I will say that if you have read and are a fan of the Sin Trilogy, you will LOVE this book. Totally different story but same aspect in parts. I can’t explain that more because it would spoil the story. I will say I loved the mystery and secrets that came out in this book!! Kept me turning the pages.
Beautiful Ever After is the final book in this Duet. It is told in Dual POV and is NOT a stand-alone novel. Eighty-One Nights has to be read first!!! This book is a quick read but it wasn’t lacking for anything!! It truly is quick because you will get sucked into this story. I couldn’t put it down!!
In this story we get the conclusion to Hutch and Lou’s story. This book starts up right where the first book ended. I loved how this story played out. Lou and Hutch were a fantastic couple. I can’t say much about the storyline because it would be spoilers for other readers. Just know you will want to read this book!!
As always I would recommend this Duet to all romance readers!! And if you are a fan of Georgia’s then you NEED to read this Duet!!! This is some of her best writing to date. And I love all her books!!
Pick this Duet up…you won’t be sorry!!
***4 Stars***
After finishing Eighty-One Nights I couldn’t wait to see just how Max and Cait would get their HEA with all obstacles in their way and I have to tell you, the wait was worth it. The feels were real, there were a couple of twists that I hadn’t seen coming and I loved how everything worked out for Max and Cait.
I have to admit that the way things start off were a little shaky and emotional on all fronts and I did wonder just what would be the catalyst that would finally bring Max and Cait back together and while it definitely was not what I was hoping for, all that mattered was that they reconnected and I really enjoyed watching as they fought for the happiness that they wanted. And as for that main obstacle in their way…the whole feeling the need to gut said person with a spoon was strong, but I must admit that the way that obstacle was taken cared of was pretty awesome. I definitely didn’t see that one coming, but totally enjoyed it.
The title of the book is quite apt, Max and Cait definitely gained a Beautiful Ever After and they truly deserved it after all they went through in their lives, though after reading that epilogue, it’s safe to say that they will have a very, very busy one!

The conclusion of Hutch and Lou’s story. I loved the first book but this second book not as much. It’s good, don’t get me wrong but I did enjoy the first one better.
We pick up where we left off in the first book. And right off the bat the excitement starts. While the first book had these two learning each other this one has heartbreak, blackmail and growth. I love the way Lou changed Hutch and really taught him how to love. This is a really good duet and I do recommend it. The writing is flawless and the story is engaging.

Maxwell had an arrangement for the girlfriend experience but he got so much more. As the time was ending he realized he was falling but she was gone. Caitriona needed money for school but fell hard for Maxwell. Then someone from Max’s past threatens their happiness. She thinks she’s doing right thing but is she? Will they get a second chance?
Wow, what an amazing story. One of my favorites so far. This duet had everything you could want, such an emotional rollercoaster that will keep you wanting more. Great writing, great love story a must read.
Well after what happened at the end of the first book of the duet, I was really looking forward to seeing how Hutch would get his Lou back and how they would find a way to take Blair down and boy did they do just that in this second part of their love story, no spoilers here but even I was shocked to say the least of what we find out.
I have so much love for these characters and their story as it was so beautifully well written that I really didn’t want to let go of them as I neared the end of the book, and so I really am hoping that there is maybe a chance that there’s going to be a book for Hutch’s friend Brady as i’m very interested to read more about him.
Beautiful Ever After was a very satisfying ending to this series and I really enjoyed Lou and Hutch’s love story as I felt that all the loose ends were tied up well by the end of this book. A heart stopping romance that puts Pretty Woman in the shade!
I was excited to get to the second part of the Beautiful Illusions Duet and I have to say this book did not disappoint it was everything I expected and more. Beautiful Ever After continues Maxwell (Hutch) Hutcheson and Caitriona Louden love story so you do have to read Eight One Night first.
Hutch is desperate to find Lou, he can’t believe she walked away when their contract ended and is struggling to understand why she won’t return his calls or messages, he knows there must be more to the reason she left than meets the eye and he is prepared to do what ever is needed to have her back in his life but does Lou want to be found……..
This is a true love story with characters I adored, this book ticked every box for me, it tugged in my heartstrings, it captivated me and it gave me all the feels I want and in a great read. The conclusion was perfect and I can’t wait to see where the very talented Georgia Cates takes us next because this duet will certainly be on my best reads of 2019.
I was desperately waiting for this conclusion and I was not disappointed; it was worth it!!! Lou and Hutch went thru so much to find their way back to each other and oh my heart. The emotions are saw raw and beautiful and the way they got back together was just a heartbreaking moment. But it wasn’t a walk in the park and one thing I learned is that you do NOT mess with what belongs to a NOLA girl. I saw a side of Lou that I didn’t expect and I loved it!!!! Chapter 28 to be exact is my favorite, lol. She left me with my mouth opened and I was like wow Lou you go girl!!! Hutch was all alpha as always and finally getting a hold of his life and not letting anyone get in his way. He was amazing as always. And the epilogue?!?! Omg those were some beautiful surprises, lol.
Beautiful Ever After was the amazing and heartgripping conclusion to the Beautiful Illusions duet. As soon as I finished Eight One Nights I needed to know how Hutch and Lou’s story would unfold and this book gave me just what I was hoping for. What started out as something simple grew into something neither Lou nor Hutch anticipated though love doesn’t always come easy. Unexpected twists soon threatened what Lou and Hutch found together. I loved watching Lou come into her own and fight for what she wants. Hutch had me swooning so hard as he sought to give Lou the beautiful ever after she deserved. Passionate, swoonworthy and heartwarming Beautiful Ever After was the perfect conclusion to this duet.
According to Caitriona Louden, especially after her experience as an Inamorta paid female companion, love is a beautiful illusion…it’s nothing but a fairytale, something fictitious and impossible, which means that regardless of the validity of feelings, the lie is easier to believe than the truth, no matter how much one or both parties wish things were different.
Maxwell Hutcheson wanted the girlfriend experience, but he thought he wanted one with an expiration date and that’s exactly what he gets with his arrangement with Caitriona Louden. What Hutch realizes too late, though, is that he wants to prove to Lou that a beautiful ever after is possible, but he definitely has his work cut out for him, not only when it comes to finding Lou but also when it comes to keeping her deceased wife’s family from causing anymore trouble for the love of his life and his little Ava Rose.
The second part of Hutch and Lou’s story begins right after their contract expires and everything has gone to heck due to Lou’s need to leave without having to say goodbye to the man she loves. If she would have stayed just a bit longer and talked to Hutch, a lot of things would have occurred differently, but I feel like she needed to flee in order for Hutch to prove to her just how much he loves her and wants her to be his forever.
Lou definitely comes into her own in Beautiful Ever After; I loved watching her take care of the ones she loves by beating her nemesis at her own duplicitous games. Lou proves just how strong of a woman she is and how deeply her feelings are for her gorgeous guy and his beautiful little girl and the fact that she carries herself with grace and poise, even when she’s terrified of what could happen proves that she has what it takes to come out of this harrowing situation with everything that she wants and deserves.
Hutch’s reactions and actions with everything that happens in this book proves exactly the kind of man he is and just how invested he is in making Lou his in every sense of the word.
I loved the cameos of some of my absolute favorite Georgia Cates’ characters, and the fact that Lou sought them out to help her fix the difficult situation she and Hutch find themselves in is fitting since Bleu and her ‘Bella Mafia’ know how to get things done and take care of problematic people.
I knew headed into the conclusion of Hutch and Lou’s story that Hutch’s deceased wife’s family would be an albatross around their necks, but they were more meddlesome, at least one of them, than I thought they would be, but thankfully, Hutch and Lou will do whatever it takes to protect what they’ve built and everything they planned to be.
4 Poison Apples
BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER by Georgia Cates is book Two in the Beautiful Illusions Duet Series. This continues the story of Maxwell ‘Hutch’ Hutcheson and Caitriona ‘Lou’ Louden, so you really should read the first book ‘Eighty-One Nights’.
What started out was the plan for an emotionless arrangement to benefit both Lou and Hutch. But as we learned in the last book that came to a end after pressure was placed and a choice was made. Lou tries to go forward and bury her feelings for him but that is just impossible. Hutch never knew what he was missing or needed until he feel in love with Lou…now she gone. But he isn’t taking this lying down….he’s fighting for her.
Loved their story!

Beautiful Ever After by Georgia Cates is the second part of the Beautiful Illusions Duet, and the conclusion to Hutch and Lou’s love story. Hutch really brings the fairytale in this book, and gives her the beautiful ever after she’s always wanted. I loved how this man adores this woman, and worships the ground she walks on. Swoon, swoon, and swoon some more. I also liked we get more of the characters from the Sin series.
Fast paced quick read, I found this installment more passionate, intimate and sensuous.
This is book 2 in the Beautiful Illusions duet, so make sure your read book 1 Eight One Nights first as it starts where Book 1 ends.
That said, this felt like the conclusion of the series.
Revelations are revealed and all the lose ends are tied up nicely.
As an added bonus a few surprise visits from prior characters make an appearanc

What a great ending for this duet. You really have to read the first book to understand more about this beautiful love story.
The book starts where it left on the first instalment and although there isn’t that much angst overall, I enjoyed both points of view and how they tried to cope with being separated and maybe not having a chance for a future together. The hot intimate moments show again how much two people can go mad about one another when in love.
A fast-paced read with ups and downs as any great love stories between two beautiful broken souls that fate brings them together and they will have to fight for their happily ever after because the heart wants what it wants.
Whoa nelly! THIS BOOK! GAH! It was sooooooooo good! I literally couldn’t put it down. I was completely consumed with Lou and Hutch. Georgia brought all the FEELS and made me connect with these characters. I wanted things to work between them despite everything falling down around them. Their love was intense and strong and I wanted to stay in their world. I was cheering them on and hoping those looking to bring them down would get their karma. This book held me and didn’t let go, even after The End. I was left with a book hangover and I enjoyed every minute of this read. I can’t recommend it enough! You MUST read Eighty-One Nights first to be able to enjoy this book, as it picks up where book 1 left off.
Pure perfection! This book was so much more than I expected! ! I couldn’t wait for the conclusion of Hutch and Lou’s story and to be honest I didn’t think that second part of this duet would turn out to be even better than I thought. But Georgia Cates outdone herself and Beautiful Ever After filled my heart with all possible feelings – sadness, loss, grieve, but also anger, determination and hope. And the whole long path I went along with the characters found its finish in a happy place- beautiful ever after.
Hutch and Lou were at a crossroads. Blackmail and manipulation splits the lovers apart and separation hurts both of them. But Hutch is determined to get his woman back, because during her absence he realized that he can’t live without her. Unfortunately the tragedy brings them back together. But in the new unpleasant circumstances they both become determined to overcome obstacles and fight for their happily ever after and the family they want to create together.
I can’t describe how much I love this duet. Georgia Cates has created an amazing story that shows us that a true strong feeling will overcome all obstacles. I was very pleased when Hutch finally pulled his head out of the ass and admitted to himself that the feeling he has for Lou is love. I was melting over the fact that he finally allowed himself a real bond with little Ava Rose. I also admired that he found the balls and admitted to his family in what circumstances he met Lou. And Lou… Where at the beginning of the book my heart was crying for her, with each page I gained more and more respect and admiration for her. The badass side she showed made me feel like getting up and shouting ‘You go, girl!’. Although Beautiful Ever After has sad and heartbreaking moments, it’s still full of steam and indescribable passion. No wonder – the chemistry that connects Lou and Hutch is simply electrifying.
This duet is definitely a must read! Georgia Cates wrote a beautiful story that gives hope and warms the heart. Plus it has a sexy Scotsman with drool-worthy accent 😉 Book boyfriend material for sure!
Highly recommend!
Brilliantly written with an epic storyline. This book will consume you, devour you and pull every emotion out of you. Such a fantastic story that is not only unique but truly beautiful, passionate and unforgettable. One of my all time favorites, and one of the best books out there.
