Garrett Coleman spent most of his adolescence crushing on Finn Sweeney—until that Ultimate Dream Guy image got obliterated during senior year. Garrett’s since gone out of his way to avoid the sexy ginger, instead throwing his energy behind his dance career while supporting his mother through her cancer diagnosis.Finn Sweeney used to think of Garrett as just his kid brother’s best friend, but … friend, but after an intense exchange at a high school party, things got a little…weird. Despite that, when their two families decide to get together for the holidays for the first time in years, Finn can’t say no. But he’s fully prepared for this to be awkward as hell.
When Finn and Garrett lay eyes on each other for the first time in their adult lives, all bets are off. Finn is completely captivated by Garrett and getting to know the man he’s become is now his top priority. Playing catch-up with Finn makes Garrett truly see him beyond the childhood fantasy he’s held onto all these years. Finn is real and vulnerable…and hot as hell.
Garrett and Finn can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, so they decide to bury the hatchet between them for the remainder of the visit.
After all, it’s only a holiday fling.
Until it becomes something more.

I loved that Garrett was a ballet dancer/teacher and that the snow globe Finn found for his Christmas present was a male dancer since you rarely see that. This was a beautifully crafted MM Christmas story with a supportive family who loved big and laughed a lot. It’s was cozy and comfy and perfect to cuddle up with at night.
This holiday book was filled with nostalgia. It was so well written. Every thing had a purpose. It was touch and go for a bit, but ultimately this wonderful story turned out perfect. I loved every minute of it. The characters really pulled me into the story. Read this one!
This book is like coming home. It is a low angst gathering of friends, family, and two guys finally on the same page and willing to risk their hearts. The Sweeney and Coleman families have been friends for years and meet again for their annual Christmas gathering, but a couple of things are different this year.
Garrett’s mom is a cancer survivor, and her husband has a surprise to celebrate. He wants to renew their wedding vows at the annual Christmas gathering. For the first time in the last several years, Finn and Garrett will both be there. This is the year they will have to be honest with each other and themselves. It is time to deal with the attraction and feelings they both have carried around since childhood.
Give yourself an early Christmas gift and give this one a try.
Finn and Garrett
I really loved this book. It’s a sweet short Christmas story. It is a bit of a slow burn. The only thing that threw me off a bit in the beginning is another man accompanying Finn to the family Christmas vacation. I don’t typically enjoy when the MC is intimate or displaying affection with another character. It always makes me uncomfortable for some reason. It does make sense with the storyline however and everything ends up as it should. And of course, it wouldn’t be a true holiday romance without a sweet HEA. Definitely add this to your holiday reading list.
Beautiful Dreamer is the perfect holiday read. Best friends brother. Childhood crush. Now meeting up again after not seeing each other for six years! The chemistry and connection between Finn and Garrett is palpable. It jumps right off the page.
Can misunderstandings and misconceptions be cleared up during this holiday retreat?
I loved the storyline and the families history together. Seeing these two allow themselves to be vulnerable and open themselves up to the possibility of love was wonderful! I know I will revisit this sweet, sexy story every holiday season.
4.5*
Such a wonderfully sweet and touching little holiday story! The best friend’s brother trope is one of my favorites, in both m/f and m/m, and this one was just perfect.
Six years have passed since Garrett and Finn last saw each other, and as their families gather to celebrate Christmas old feelings bubble to the surface and it’s time these two finally confront their true feelings for each other.
I enjoyed this story so much, everything about it just gave me the warm fuzzies! Garrett and Finn and their burgeoning relationship were the stars of the show, but the families, the setting, the season- it all made for a winning combination.
I’m so jealous of the Coleman and Sweeney families right now, I wish my extended family all still got together for the holidays!
