Vivian Day was a combination of sass and sexiness rolled up into one gorgeous drama queen. The baby of the family, she was accustomed to being catered to a bit too much for my taste, which was fine since she was my friend’s little sister—off limits. Still, one impulsive offer to help her finds us tangled in a chemistry that is off the charts. When she presents the idea of a one-night, don’t ask, … ask, don’t tell arrangement, my self-control can only be stretched so far.
Beckett Jenkins was probably the ideal man for most women—attractive and financially stable with a cool, calm demeanor—but seriously, where’s the fun in that? His insane but too-good-to-be-true offer to help me with my financial situation sounded great until I started getting comfortable in our new relationship and our sexual tension became a fuse waiting to be lit. What I never predicted was that in the end, Beckett would end up breaking my heart.

Next up in the A Day By Day Series is Beautiful Chaos, Vivian and Beckett’s story. If you haven’t been reading the series, let me give you a quick recap. Vivian is the youngest sister of Clark and Ellie, the main characters of the first books in the series and Beckett is best friends with Clark. Vivian is a bit of a princess and hasn’t been a big fan of Beckett. Which is fine with Beckett since she’s his friend’s little sister and that makes her off limits. They find themselves becoming friends while sexual tension leads to a proposition of a one-time don’t ask, don’t tell arrangement is made and then sparks really begin to fly!
I tried, I really tried but I just wasn’t a fan of Vivian. I just found her a bit too immature, bratty and high maintenance. I was hoping by the time her story came along, my opinion would change. Nope. Her drama queen/princess persona was just a tad too much for me. And Beckett…gosh I really liked him in the previous books, but this one, no not really. I think it’s the whole ‘I splurge only one day per week’ thing that got to me. Actually, that made them both a bit too high maintenance for my taste. Which is why they probably are perfectly suited for each other.
So in a nutshell, I liked the story but was not a fan of main characters. Seems kind of odd if you think about it but it is what it is. On the whole, this series was a fun read and there is a good chance I will re-read the first two books. Who knows, maybe with time, I can learn to appreciate Vivian and her attitude. Either way fans of the author will enjoy this series.
I received this book from SBR for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine.

Beautiful Chaos Book 3 of A Day By Day by Brooke Parker
5 Stars
Beautiful! Amazing! Brilliant! Loved! Very well written! Hot chemistry!
“I told you you’re beautiful in anything and I meant it. When you walk around the house barefoot with your hair a mess and not a trace of makeup on, it’s incredibly sexy.”
I loved this just as much as the other books in the series! I do highly recommend!
This series is so wonderful – sweet & fun, full of family relationships as well as deep friendships. I LOVE Vivian & Beckett! They don’t think they like each other – but they’re not enemies, just have some pretty big misconceptions about the other. Once circumstances arise that have them spending more time together, they discover they get along really well & develop a deep friendship. Under that friendship is an attraction that builds with good pacing, and their feelings deepen.
We also get to see more of Clark & Layne, Ellie & Holden, including the latter’s wedding ceremony. LOVED this story so much!! : )
If you love close knit families/friends who will do anything for each other, look no farther. This book is for you! Devotion, love, and protection are all part of this amazing book and series.
Another great book by Brooke Parker!! She always takes characters and intertwined them and leaves stories that drag you under with each word. She creates characters that are flawed and are real, and makes them come alive in you head. The characters love, take care of, and help each other no matter what. It is truly an atmosphere of family, blood or not.
She takes Vivian, known as the drama queen and princess, and makes her into an ordinary person that only Beckett sees when they are alone. Beckett is a character you can relate to and have seen throughout the whole series. Together, they ignore feelings, but it all hits the fan after so long. A bad situation and bad influence create an opportunity to bring all the feelings in the open.
I loved this story and how they came to be together. Well done Brooke Parker!!
HOT, SEXY CHAOS!
An beautifully executed read with a binding FAMILY of friends that never waver their devotion to each other and a pair with miss conceived opinions of each other that ignite into a sizzle popping relationship that keeps you on edge eagerly needing to turn the pages. Well written and impossible to put down. Emotionally charged with inescapable twists that pull you into the heart and soul of the drama. so darn yummy hot chemistry and highly enjoyable. An amazing must read filled with chaos that turns beautiful.
I have to say while reading first two books in the series Vivian kinda got on my nerves. I thought her to be a spoiled brat. But than I started to read this book and she grew on me. She turned out to be so much more than just good looks.
As for Beckett I adore that man. He was such a good guy and wanted to do the right thing even when it backfired. I loved his protectiveness of her. The slow burn was so good it had me pulling my hair just waiting for them to fall in each others arms.
I really like this series and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for funny banter, hot chemistry and the forever kinda love.
