Not the size to blend in anywhere … Not that he cared … hood was thrown over her head, and then she was tossed into the back of a vehicle. Days later, she wakes up on a dirt floor of a cell with only a grate above her head. But she’ll take it as she’s nothing if not innovative. As soon as she escapes her prison, she runs into the brick wall that’s Beau. He’d good at giving orders. She’s not so good at following them …
With dozens of lives at stake in a sex-trafficking scheme, neither Beau nor Danica had expected it would be action all the way for them as they battle to free other women and to stay alive–together.

Fantastic!
Another marvelously written Maverick adventure! I love Beau and his huge, quiet strength.
Human sex trafficking is a real thing all over the world. To bring its horrific ugliness out into the open to spread awareness, this incredible story is a skill this author has shown numerous times in her writing.
I love the heart and compassion Danika shows to Nania, a complete stranger, to help her escape the same fate she is facing, despite the risks and danger. This story is full of twists and turns with surprises and extensive bravery. These characters have what it takes to get someone out of a very tight situation.
Danika and Beau show incredible teamwork and she just won’t stop putting herself at risk to make sure Beau and Asher are safe when it should be the other way around, but then there is that too. During this heartbreaking ordeal, Beau and Danika form a bond that is intense and forever.
I strongly encourage anyone who loves adventure, hot, sexy men and a tender HEA to read this series!
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is the fourth book in The Mavericks series, it can be read as a standalone story. The storyline is fast-paced and well-written, there is plenty of drama and intrigue that kept me glued to my chair until the ending. I really liked both Beau and Danika, both are incredibly likable, strong willed, stubborn and caring. I loved the interaction and banter between them. I can’t wait to read Asher next……
This was such a great read. A well written gripping story line is brilliantly paired with complex, strong characters to craft a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and completely focused as you read each page. The sparks really fly between Beau and Danika. Whether from their attraction and chemistry or from their many clashes of wills, they are generating lots of heat. Of coarse Beau was a wonderful book boyfriend. He practically had hero written all over him but I have to do a special shout out to Danika for being an epic book girlfriend. Fierce, spunky, determined, smart, supportive, kind and quite simply just an all around Good Person, I thought she truly rocked. Although she was in a terrible situation and in danger, she was no one’s damsel in distress and I loved that she never felt the need to throw someone else under the bus in order to save herself. I thought this author shined a light on a very scary, very real issue with a talented and light touch that let you be entertained while also imparting some knowledge along the way.
When Danika is kidnapped at her college and wakes up, tied up and stuck in a hole, does she panic? No she figures a way out! As she’s running, she stops and frees another woman! Beau was sent by her father, to find her. And look her she is! But the job is not over, Danika wants to save everyone. She found out that the women there were being sent out to the sex trade. What Beau wasn’t expecting was Danika being so fierce and brave. She kept throwing herself in harms way to save people and especially Beau! I think this was my favorite story so far! Beau wasn’t sure what hit him, but he loved it!
This story will keep you on the edge of your seat as Beau and Asher go to Alaska to try and find/rescue Danica, who was kidnapped on her way to class. They suspect that women are being taken to be sold.
Danica has managed to free herself from the cell she was being held in and helps free another woman. As Beau is to find out, Danica does not take direction very well. Rather than escaping to Anchorage when she has the chance, she stays behind to make sure Beau is ok.
The attraction between Beau and Danica is instant. He loves her strong will but has been burned in the past and isn’t sure he wants to start something without knowing she would be ok with his being gone for long periods of time. Danica doesn’t intend to let him just slip back out of her life and this leads to some humorous moments between them.
Like those before him, Beau was hardly home any time from his first Mavericks op before he received a call from Jax with orders for his own mission to lead. A rescue of an American woman that has him headed to the wilds of Alaska.
Beau’s backup is friend and fellow SEAL Asher, who meets up with him at the airport in Anchorage. As always, the Mavericks are on standby through communications to provide further backup and assistance.
Danika Lindstrom has no idea why she was taken or where she is. Through the haze of being drugged, she thinks she was taken from her college campus by a combination of ground and air transportation. One thing she knows for sure is that she is in danger and must find a way out.
Beau, Asher and Danika are up against some major odds between the location of the kidnappers’ compound and the cult population inside the compound. The deadline to act is now.

If you saw my review of Book 3, Jax, you will understand when I say that no candy can provide the goose bumps I got from reading Mavericks Book 4, Beau, whose mission is to rescue a kidnap victim believed to have been taken to Alaska. Danika could have been any college co-ed, someone’s sister, daughter, cousin or friend kidnapped on her way to class, hooded and thrown into a car, then drugged and flown in a plane to a location completely unknown to her, where she regains consciousness locked in an underground cell. What Danika does, though, that sets her apart from many kidnapped young women is to keep her head, free herself from her prison, and then free Nania, another captive. Just as Nania panics and runs from where she and Danika were hiding, Beau finds and rescues Danika. On learning her identity, which means that he has just accomplished his mission, Beau is ready to get Danika away from the compound where the kidnappers and the rest of the captives are. That’s when the second thing that sets Danika apart from many other young kidnap victims comes to light – she refuses to leave without the other captive women, who are to be shipped to who-knows-where that same day. Thus begins an exciting, action-filled adventure. The who, the what, the where and the why – all there to be discovered in nail-biting can’t-put-it-down reading.

Beau gets his own mission pretty much on the tail of the last one with Jax. It’s Jax on the other end of phone this time around. Of course Jax won’t tell him who his back-up is, but he would meet up with him in Alaska.
Danica had been taken on her way to class, she wakes in an underground cell with a grate giving light and air. As the days passed with no sign of rescue, and her hands and feet still tied she knew she had to find a way out and gets creative to release them.
Beau’s back-up is Asher, another SEAL buddy one he knew would be an asset once they got to the compound where they believe Danika is being held.
Their job was about to get easier, yet harder when Beau finds Danika.
Now Danica is not very good at staying where she’s told to stay, and being armed helped. She wasn’t going to be captured again or let anything happen to the men who just showed up to get her out of here.
Fast-paced with plenty of hold your breath action, some tears, lots of emotion and a simmer to sizzle romance under some very difficult conditions.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Beau is a really big military man who is used to taking control and getting a job done. He is transitioning into a group called The Mavericks and is sent to Alaska to retrieve a kidnapped woman. Little did he know that Danika, a tiny little thing, was determined to not stay kidnapped. In fact she found another woman who she helped get out. Beau finds them but the other bolts so Beau picks up Danika and throws her on his back so he has his hands free to escape. Lots of twists in this story with many of them provided by Danika which made me smile. Enjoyable read.

Another great story with the Mavericks. Beau who is huge but talented enough to hide from his enemies goes to Alaska to face a cult, sex-trafficking, vicious self serving people and love. How can this not be exciting? Then we have a expert story teller in this author who brings it all together in a book that is difficult to put down. Full of adventure, a determined hero and heroine, loyalty, trust and the backing of the Mavericks. Yes, this series has quickly become one of my favorites!
Another favorite part of this series is the hint in the epilogue about the next book. Asher was introduced in Beau’s story and the next book will be about him and a trip to Asia. Asher’s partner will be a woman this time, an ex-fiance. I’m so looking forward to it!
Beau travels to Alaska to rescue Danica kidnapped by a cult that might be involved in human trafficking. When Danica awakens in an underground cell, she know she must escape. When she runs into Beau, Danica tells him that there are other women being held that they must rescue. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a very suspenseful book. I like that Danica is not going to sit idly by but will do what she can to help. I also like that there is non-stop action. I love this book and look forward to the next one in the series
Beau accepting his mission. Go save a lady from a cult that wants to sell her into the sex trade world. Should be easy. In and out. No problem right?
No way enter Danika who is found escaping with another lady. Gets out but come back thinking she is helping her heroes as she doesn’t have an understanding of the new world she finds herself in. Dankia keeps putting her self in danger, keeping Beau on his toes and Beau in a state of confusion. Enjoy a bumpy journey, sit back and watch a beautiful relationship start.
Book four in this awesome series sees us with Beau going out on his line mission. I really enjoyed this book. The heroine, Danika, was so sassy and said what she felt as she battled to free herself from the situation she found herself in. I loved her character and how she thought things out plus how she was with Beau and keeping him safe. I think Beau knew she was trouble but his team mate knew she was built for him. The story was excellent, along with the characters and the action from the gecko. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Beau is a big guy and no matter what he stands out. He is in Alaska looking for a missing young woman. Danika is that young lady and she is doing her best to get the heck out of there. She is sore bruised, hungry and thirsty and has no idea where she is. That is not going to stop her, not if she has anything to say about it and she has a lot to say. Beau grabs her and off they go or so he thinks. Danika has other ideas about it and I cannot say more because that would spoil the whole thing. This is really good. You will love it. The series is just getting better and better.

Once Beau gets his call to lead a mission the action is all non stop. Danica is kidnapped on her way to class. When she comes to she is in a hole in the ground with a grate opening on top. Beau and Asher are tasked with rescuing her. Danica is strong, gutsy and independent women with a strong moral compass. She manages to get out of her hole and attempts to help another woman. Thats where Beau finds her as he scopes out the compound. The action just keeps on going as they attempt to rescue all the women who have been kidnapped and will be sold into white slavery, or the sex ring. Dale takes a tough subject matter as a light background with romance, and suspense laid over the top. Awareness is brought with a subtle touch to every reader as they take this ride with Danica and Beau. I loved this one was story, plot, not a lot of nudge, nudge, its your turn to fall in love. I am thrilled to have been given a chance to receive this arc and freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. Read a great romantic suspense and at the same time gain awareness of what transpires all over the world even today.
Danika is kidnapped on campus and wakes up tied up in a cell in the ground. Her father contacts Beau’s group requesting someone try to find and rescue her. Beau and Asher ae sent to try and rescue her after she is sighted in Alaska. They find her being held in a cult along with other women that will be shipped to Asia shortly. Beau calls in the military to help rescue all the women. But Beau did not count on Danika sitting still while they do their job without her help. That’s when Beau realizes how brave she is. And she can shoot a gun too!
This is by far my favorite book of the series to date.

Beau is sent with Asher to Alaska to rescue Danika. Danika has been kidnapped to be sold off as part of slave trade. Danika is smart, feisty and is no victim. She is always saving herself and helping the guys out. Beau is impressed with how her mind thinks like a Seal. The attraction is instant between the two. The story is fascinating and keeps you on the edge. Well worth reading. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

Action from the first to the last page, Danika is one woman determined not to be kept a prisoner. Once free she is then focussed on others as well as remaining free. She is also not letting those who help her risk their lives without making sure their backs are safe. I loved her spirit and her ease with Beau and Asher, Beau just didn’t stand a chance. Tense subject matter and suspense all the way through this plot. Exciting and thrilling story that I didn’t want to put down. A few twists keep you hooked and I just wanted to cosy down and settle in for the journey. Brilliant read
