Growing up in a broken home, I had two missions—to protect my sister and get the hell out of my father’s pack. I didn’t need my father, his money, or his Alpha bear legacy clouding over me and holding me back. I had almost forgotten about him, making it on my own as a solider and football player. If only he’d stayed alive, I might not have had to think about him again. Then again, if not for his …
Then again, if not for his untimely death, I never would have met Lucinda, the high-powered and stunningly beautiful lawyer who is trying to make me an offer I don’t want. However, I can’t resist her perfect lips, stunning eyes, and legs that go on for days…
As much as I want her to go away, I know I must claim her as my own. Is fate conspiring against us as we strike a bargain that’s bound to end in heartbreak?
Content Warning: Explicit love scenes and lots of sexy shifters. Intended for 18+ audiences.

Fast paced.
We meet Arthur and the story moves quickly. He’s a bear shifter with issues.
Lucinda, I really liked. A lawyer with drive.

This is a complex story where you see the effects, regrets, and accomplishments generated from the past. Arthur is a football athlete who inherited his abusive father’s company. Lucinda is the lawyer tasked with getting Arthur to accept his inheritance. At first at cross purposes, they each start to work towards their own agenda. Some moving pieces in this story with the addition of Arthur’s sister Regina and others made it an interesting read. The pace is steady throughout and the ending is very satisfying.
While many story has urgency, many are set in a background of understanding and well-rounded family. Juniper took a different route and wrote a very interesting story.

What a fabulous story! Arthur hates his father and has always taken care of his sister. But now fate has played a cruel joke and he’s now in charge of the family empire. Only he doesn’t want his father’s company. But a pretty little lawyer might change the stakes. Great story!

This is a very good career (h) vs. obligation (H) story and I really like the characters of Lucinda and Arthur. Lucinda and Arthur did not agree on things at times but you could always sense the underlying attraction between them just simmering below the surface. I am looking forward to jumping right into the next book in this series.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Bear’s Legacy by Juniper Hart is the first book in the Kiss-Mate Shifters series. Arthur and Lucinda’s story is a bittersweet romance that pulls you in from the first page. I love Juniper Hart reads, you can always count on yummy characters with sizzling chemistry, drama, witty dialogue and steamy sexy moments. Bear’s Legacy doesn’t disappoint. Between Arthur’s father and Lucinda’s there is a lot to overcome. A great read and a promising start to this series.

You can’t run from your legacy and that’s exactly the message here. As much as he fights it, he is a bear shifter. I love how he knows Lucinda is the one for him and even though they both feel broken from their past, they end up finding what they need in each other.

This is the first book in the series and I will admit it took a little bit for me to get into this one but once I did I don’t want to stop reading everyone knows a love a good shifter romance so Lucinda and Arthur’s book was just right for me these two meet when she is sent to convince him to take over his father’s company I will say I completely understood why he wanted nothing to do with it. This was a super read I would recommend this one to all.
Well worth reading!

Juniper Hart did a terrific job leading off her Kiss-Mate series with the tale of Lucinda and Arthur. Through several books, I have truly become a fan of Juniper Hart. She has a distinct way of pulling the reader in and keeping them hooked. I also love that the characters have a depth about them that you don’t always get to see in other books. Wonderful plot!!!

Great Paranormal Book…

I’m a really big fan of paranormal shifter style romance books
and this one is absolutely awesome and totally fantastic.
Wow this story pulls you in from the first page I found myself feeling
sorry for Arthur having a retched excuse of filth for a father the way he treated
him was downright shameful and I kept rooting for him and his little sister.
Poor Lucinda and her uptight parents indifference to her was very noticeable.
I love reading how Arthur and Lucinda butted heads on more than one occasion
but they make perfect since together.

This is a well written book with strong, realistic characters with an instant chemistry. The author does a fantastic job delivering an action packed story filled with all the drama, intrigue and hot chemistry. The scenes are described in vivid detail and had me glued to the pages right to the end. I loved and would recommend this book.

3 1/2* I was enjoying the story. Unfortunately at the end right after they acknowledged they were mates she stopped writing about them and went to what should have been an epilogue. Then after breaking up the story in a way that I thought it was over and was very disappointed she went back to the couple. It was too late I already had bad feelings about the story. Her timelines were also confusing. She had things happen after months when it supposedly happened in a week. That feeling was helped along when she changed the focus at the end. I really have no idea what happened when. There were times when she used the wrong names which interrupted the flow. I also did not really like how he treated her in the beginning, like she had no worth. I was enjoying the story however until she changed focus. The plot is good, the characters were acceptable ( Except as I said about the way he treated her.) I’m also not sure it was a happy ending. He had to accept too many things he did not want anything to do with and while it was supposed to be a hea it felt like there were too many regrets to truly be happy. To me it feels more like an EA than a HEA
I think most would enjoy this story, I am just picky.
