Life is messy
I truly enjoyed this book about Green Valley. The author did a fantastic job of letting us see how Shelly really feels under her facade and how deliciously messy Dean’s life is. These two might appear to be polar opposites, but they are just the HEA that both were looking for. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author.
There is the emotion that this story brings to readers as carefully hidden secrets are revealed that show Shelley and Dean in a more realistic, true light. I enjoyed watching their walls come tumbling down as Shelley learns how to deal with children, and Dean finally lets go of the need to be everything to everyone except himself.
We’ve met Shelley before, and it should be noted that first impressions aren’t always the correct ones and that certainly shines a truth in “Bearly Together” as Shelley and Dean discover that they are mates – and, on the surface, two shifters couldn’t be more different. But… are they really?
Most of what you’d need to know can be found in the Cover Description. What you won’t find there is the emotion that this story brings to readers as carefully hidden secrets are revealed that show Shelley and Dean in a more realistic, true light. I enjoyed watching their walls come tumbling down as Shelley learns how to deal with children, and Dean finally lets go of the need to be everything to everyone except himself. We get the chance to run into some book friends from previous stories – and sometimes big brothers should know to keep their big mouths shut around little kids. Just sayin’
I had a blast with “Bearly Together”, but then I always do in the “Green Valley Shifters” series. If you’re in the mood for an uncomfortable romance, to watch two people (actually four) learn to open their lives and hearts to each other and start a new life, some sexy sizzle, and an adorable pup and kids then you’ll want to pick this one up real soon.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Bearly Together is sweet with a little steam and joy to read. Shelly, who I first saw in Dandelion (book 3 in the series) at came off as stiff and a bit cold but this comes under the heading of first impressions aren’t alway right. She has her issues and has learned to cover them up while Dean tries to all to everyone. Through trial and error, they come to realize that together they are perfect. Great read. Enjoy!
3.5 stars. A lovely sweet read but best read in order to appreciate the characters.
The antics with Aaron made me laugh. Having four boys I fondly remembered those antics and foibles.
The story itself was lovely with everything that happens.
Though sad what Dean goes through it was probably the catalyst needed to change his life to make it more about what was best for him, Aaron and Shelley.
A couple of things stopped it from being great.
Just wish there had been more actual romance and relationship between Shelley and Dean rather than just, were mates let’s have sex. Especially something needed to be said or thought about birth control. Nothing is said ever about that ever, or whether they will have children in the future.
Why was Shelley so scared, never explained.
Read through KU.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Shelley had a plan, a very organized plan.
It all changed when she met Dean and his son Aaron.
She doesn’t know how to act around children.
Dean has been hurt by his ex, but his son Aaron is so worth it.
All was missing was his fated mate.
Enter Shelley!
Now what !
You will have to read the book to find out.
Bingo agrees with me.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
