A dark cloud approaches the small community of Sun Valley, and only these Bear Shifter cowboys can save it. Will they find their Fated Mates in the process?
The Bear Ranchers Ultimate Box Set is here! Contains the following novella stories:
RIDING BEARBACK – Get back here you stupid cow! Jess Lincoln just wasn’t cut out for this! She’s a city girl from New York, used to cafe lattes in the … used to cafe lattes in the morning and swanky bar Manhattans at night. But here she was, running from her past and her ex-husband. So why did she run to a cattle ranch of all things? Did she think she could just throw on some pumps and walk out to milk the cows? Was there anyone out here that could help her?
Wyatt Wade knew his way around a ranch. His Bear Shifter Clan specialized in long distance travel of troubling species. Water buffalo, oxen and even flocks of ostrich: if it walked on this earth, they could herd it. But this fiery little city slicker that just moved into the ranch down the way was something else. She was all thorns and tangle weeds, but his primal instinct didn’t care. She needed help, and he needed her.
SADDLED BEARBACK – Jamie Campbell loves the family ranch, but a recent family tragedy has hung a dark cloud over the place. The cattle still graze, but her father has been a knot of worry and his whiskey is never far away. Her cousin Oliver has a knack for business, but when it comes to managing the herd of cattle, Jamie is in over her head. Not that she’d ever admit to needing help, of course. No matter how tall or handsome that help turned out to be…
Jesse Crowe thought this would just be another normal gig. Help a local ranch get back on their feet and make a little spare change on the side. It looked like a win/win situation. Of course, as soon as he laid eyes on the rancher’s daughter, his primal bear Shifter needs erupted. Oh yeah, this just turned into a win/win/win situation.
Too blind to see the looming threat in their midst, could they have any chance of finding love when their lives were at risk?
DANCING BEARBACK – Willow Davenport and her family have always loved the wild west. They love it so much, they sing and dance in their own Western themed show. Always on the hunt to expand their holdings, they are elated when the ranch next door goes on sale. They jump on the chance to buy it.
Only they aren’t the only ones. Tyler Crowe, a Bear Shifter cowhand, is also interested, as are a couple of werewolves. On a tour of the place Tyler and Willow find themselves hopelessly attracted to each other. How can they bid against each other now? Luckily it’s not up to them to decide who gets the farm. Tyler will have to decide if her will tell her secret. Will she still love him when she finds out he’s a bear? When the bidding war starts who can keep their heads? Tyler and Willow need to keep theirs or risk losing everything.
SPURRED BEARBACK – Sun Valley is in jeopardy. An age old debt has come due and the residents are in danger of losing their home. This weighs heavily on Valerie Rousseau’s mind. She was sent to Sun Valley by a company, interested in buying up the land.
At first it’s just another job, just another corner of the land that this machine she represents wants to eat up. But then she meets the people and falls in love with a Bear Shifter named Kyle. This changes everything for her. Now she has to work to keep her job, save Sun Valley and try to win the heart of the man she’s seriously falling for. But time is running out and there are no easy fixes as darker secrets come to light.
BUCKING BEARBACK – Sun Valley is being threatened by an evil werewolf corporation that has its eye set on destroying the place. Jeanie Buchanan is a pawn in this game of greed and revenge. Sent to Sun Valley to do a survey of the land, she is ill prepared for what she finds there.
Mixing personal and business has never been Jeanie’s style but when Ryan Hunt comes to her aid, she can hardly believe her luck. In him she finds not only a hunk but a kindred spirit. Things heat up as the evil master minds of the plot to destroy Ryan’s home come to Sun Valley to seal the deal.
But will Ryan and Jeanie be able to stop the council from selling the land to Petersen-Snow? Will they have to lose their friend to Petersen’s mad desire for revenge? When it all comes down to a duel, Jeanie has to face the possibility that she will lose the love of her life.

Bear Ranchers Ultimate Box Set is comprised of five (5) stories. Each can be read as a standalone, and are entertaining. I previously received each book separately; below are my voluntary reviews.
* Riding Bearback is a quick and enjoyable read. It has vivid imagery that allowed me to get lost in the story. It offers action, drama, humor, and romance that kept me thoroughly entertained. Jess leaves the city, running from her past to start a new life in the open space of Colorado. Wyatt rides in, endeavoring to help her and become a part of her life. The progression of the relationship is endearing. I also appreciated all interactions with Charlie, which had me smiling.
* Saddled Bearback is another enjoyable read by Becca Fanning. It starts with action, with intense imagery there is never a dull moment. The story builds organically with cute romantic moments between Jamie and Jesse, and just the right amount of clues throughout. It is tied up with a HEA; though for Jamie and Jesse it felt inferred, rather than instant gratification. I would like to read more about their relationship. Also, I hope to read about Tyler, Kyle, and Ryan in stories of their own.
* Dancing Bearback is a quick read with humor, impropriety, deceit, and affection. The family dynamic between aunt Vanessa, Willow, and Rosemary is loving and amusing. The sisterly bond between Willow and Rosemary is realistic and relatable. These relationships kept me entertained.
I was happy to see that Tyler found someone- Willow is a beautiful person. Hopefully, Rosemary will finds the guy for her. I was also intrigued by George, and would like to see more of him. Definitely looking foward to the next book in the Bear Ranchers series.
* Spurred Bearback is a quick read that is well-written and emotion-evoking. Initially, I felt bad for Valerie, nothing seemed to be going her way. I also enjoyed the journey towards finding herself and her values again. In particular, I liked reading about her grandmother Fifi. It was clear she had an impact on Valerie. Once everthing was cleared up, Valerie and Kyle made a good team. Would like to read more about how their relationship progresses over time; maybe even how Fifi feels about their relationship. Overall, this book is a good addition to the series, and I can’t wait to read the next book. I especially want to find out who Ryan will meet.
* Bucking Bearback is a quick read, that is well written. Jeanie and Ryan’s story is a good end to the Bear Rancher series. Everything is nicely wrapped up. Jeanie is the answer to everyone prayers, especially Ryan, who she is able to make laugh when others least expect it. Ryan is great for he too, making her aware of life outside of work. Overall, good PNR with a HEA that makes it worth reading.
The whole set was excellent to read. Jess is a city girl, through and through, but she’s on the run from her ex-husband. She’s bought a ranch in Colorado unseen, hoping for a fresh start, far away from Conrad and his hateful ways, but all is not rosy in the ranch business, especially when you only have an aged ranch hand and a herd of loose cattle on your hands. As soon as Wyatt sees his new neighbor, he knows she’s his mate. All he has to do is win her over. Right! Things start to heat up when her ex shows up, threatening Jess’s fresh start and Wyatt’s love life. Will she ever be rid of her ex or will he continue to make her life miserable ? Jamie is helping her father run their ranch following the deaths of her mother and brother. Her cousin, Oliver, is also helping with the ranch. There is a lot of tension between Jamie and Oliver. Jesse Crowe, a bear shifter, is a new hire for the ranch.
The attraction between Jamie and Jesse grows as they work together to find out who is sabotaging the ranch, and who was behind her family’s deaths. A farm is up for sale but three groups want it. The ladies want expand their theater. The men want to create a camp for troubled teens. The third party is an unknown, but they are willing to do anything to the others to get the property. The chemistry between Willow and Tyler starts flying. They are so cute. They discover something underhanded is going on when their pre-approved loans are suddenly no longer good. Wolf Shifters are coming into Bear Shifter Territory. Valerie Rousseau wrecks her car on the way to Sun Valley and is rescued by bear shifter Tyler Pierce. She works for Petersen-Snow, a conglomerate that wants to buy the entire valley. The company is owned and run by werewolves. Petersen wants revenge on the town for the death of his son. Tyler, who has been attracted to Valerie from the first, is upset to find out she’s the company rep. He decides to show her the town and surrounding areas to try and sway her to their side. To save the valley, Valerie must come up with a plan that will give the bear shifters more time.
Jeanie is sent to Sun Valley to complete the environmental assessment for Peterson-Snow. She does not know why they want to buy the land, but something is different about the valley that makes her feel protective and look deeper. Ryan finds Jeanie in a ditch and assists her to the doctor. He is very upset and distrustful when he finds out why she is in Sun Valley. Time is running out for the Bear Shifters and humans in Sun Valley as the Wolves close in.
