***** What a Couldn’t-Put-It-Down Book!
From the very first page, I was drawn in. Why wouldn’t I? A bomb goes off, obliterating the two main characters’ shack on the beach and instantly, we are thrust into their story. And what a story it is. Engaged to be married, Dane and Shana are both private investigators and Type A personalities. We quickly learn how Shana was the probable target of the blast, because years before she had left some permanent physical damage to a major psychotic. Someone who, now freed from prison, is on the warpath and won’t stop… until he gets her.
Dane is tough, yet vulnerable and fiercely protective when it comes to his lady-love, Shana. Prideful and defiant, although Shana is a sucker for Dane, first and foremost, she is tough as nails, and needs to prove to all men, even Dane, that she can protect herself. The question becomes can she actually do it? Ooooh…
Yet to me, what makes this fast-paced, action-filled book doubly good is not only the riveting Is he gonna get Shana? plot, but also its realistic, touching characters, and good dialogues. Jealousy gets interspersed with secrets, clever Crisis Think overrides all human emotions, and the hazards of getting righteous revenge can sometimes clash with the law. Highly recommended!
Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10)
By: Stephanie Queen
5 out of 5 stars
The story Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10) by Stephanie Queen is the next exciting and thrilling book in a series that I love reading. It has action, adventure, danger, and romance. It had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The reason I think this story is so amazing is the characters of Dane and Shana. I love reading about them. They have a passion and desire for one another that is undeniable. There are some very romantic scenes in this book. Dane is fiercely protective of Shana and will do anything to make sure she is safe. The story starts with an attempt being made on their lives. They become ghosts in order to track down the killers. Will they find who wants them dead? Shana has a strong feeling that something isn’t right. Will she defy Dane’s plans? Read this book to find out. The story is suspenseful and entertaining. It hooked me in from the very first chapter and didn’t let go until the final page. I also enjoyed reading about those who help Dane and Shana. They have contacts and friends that are loyal and don’t hesitate when called upon for assistance. I love how the book is written in such a way that I feel like I am right there with the characters. I always look forward to the next book in this series and to finding out what happens next in Dane and Shana’s life.
This is one of those stories that draws you in and keeps you going. The writing is good, the story is engaging and the length is great. Well done. This really a 4.5 for me.
Beachcomber Enemy starts off with a bang and never slows down. Dane and Shana are running for their lives after their shack on Martha’s Vineyard blows up. This action-packed thriller will have you on the edge of your seat as you race through the pages trying to figure out who is after them and why. And speaking of action, the romance between Dane and Shana is smoking hot. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense, you won’t want to miss this story by Stephanie Queen!
This 11th book in the Beachcomber Investigation series by Stephanie Queen has our dynamic duo, Dane and Shana, once again battling against evil villains, but this time, it is a matter of life and death, theirs. The thrill ride of the adventure and mystery and action continued to take the reader along for a gripping story, with a twisted ending just for added measure. Of course, the love and heat between the two is still off the charts, even when they are angry at each other. The will they or won’t they get married is still left unanswered at the end of this book, so of course, looking extremely forward to the next book in the series. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book form Hidden Gems Books.
Beachcomber Enemy was a great 5 star read.
I got pulled in right from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down.
We start with Dane and Shana’s home being blown up. They go undercover to try and find out who is trying to kill them. When they gain some information on the suspects things take an interesting twist. Will they be able to solve the mystery before it’s too late?
There was so much going on with this read. We get suspense, mystery, drama, and so much more. I was right there with them trying to figure out who it was. I really like this couple, they are both so strong. Stephanie Queen does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. This is a great series and I look forward to reading more from her.
Beachcomber Enemy is the tenth book in Stephanie Queen’s Beachcomber Investigations Series.
As I’ve come to expect, the book had a great balance of action and adventure as well as the romantic. Dane and Shana continue to be characters you connect with and their chemistry is enough to keep you gravitating toward this series in itself.
Beachcomber Enemy hit the ground running on page one, something I really enjoy about a good book. Once the book kicked off there weren’t any lulls, the excitement was palpable and the story tlowed extremely nicely. As always, I look forward to reading more from this author.
Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen was an action packed, fast pace thriller that had me hooked form start to finish.
The latest instalment in the Beachcomber Investigations series, it was a blast right out of the gate. This book hit the ground running and it kept my attention right until the last page was flipped. I like these types of opening, that get your blood flowing, and the plot going right away. It makes for an exciting read, and on that keeps you, as I said, flipping the pages.
Dane and Shana are in danger, and that danger comes from Shana’s past. I loved the flip script, as at first it presented like it would be about Dane. The only thing I didn’t like was how over protective Dane was, I mean, I get it, your loved one is in danger, but man, that was a bit too much, and it almost risked their relationship. I mean Shana is a kickass woman, skilled and strong. There was a disconnect there, and it did take away from the story.
Overall this book was a wicket read, with a solid complex plot, mystery, action and movie worthy choreography, I’m looking forward to more books from this series. So to end, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Beachcomber Enemy is the tenth book in Stephanie Queen’ Beachcomber Investigations series and it is as brilliant as the rest of the instalments. You definitely should read the series in the order as each book builds upon the previous one when it comes to Dane and Shana’s relationship.
Beachcomber Enemy is a bit different than the previous books as generally it is Dane’s past that catches up to them and this time it is Shana’s past and it was such a fun to see how Dane dealt with it. The writer sweeps us away from the beginning and the ups and down of the waves never stop, it all ends in a cliffhanger so heck yeah I am waiting impatiently for the next instalment! I love the realness of Dane and Shana’s relationship, their struggle with their emotions, the little things, the push and pull … I also loved how we meet up with the secondary characters again and Ronny and Sassy, well … nothing more to say!
I always enjoy the hours I spend with Dane and Shana and it was no different this time! Dear writer, keep bringing us more of Dane and Shana as I don’t think we will be getting enough any time soon!
Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10) by Stephanie Queen. 4 stars.
Stephanie Queen has done it again. This novel still had all the high intensity, mystery, suspense, danger and of course romance as all the other novels in the Beachcomber books.
Stephanie knows how to keep the readers engaged and from the very beginning it didn’t disappoint.
Stephanie is a fantastic writer and I have loved reading these books. Look forward to reading more of her work
Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen is Book 10 of the Beachcomber Investigations Series. This book had me hooked from the very first line. The author gave just enough romance and action to keep just about any reader interested. The characters played a big part of why this book got 5 stars from me.
Dane and Shana are an awesome couple. They have a certain kind of relationship that you don’t see everyday. They love each other so much and try to protect each other no matter what is at stake. Dane is a total Alpha but Shana is such a strong character that really doesn’t need anyone to protect her.
When Dane comes home smelling gas, he goes I same trying to find Shana and get her out of the shack. They make it far enough away that they are not in danger when something happens. They fake their deaths and run to close friends did for help. They think they know who is after them. It’s someone from Shana’s past. They make a plan to go incognito to their funeral to try to find the suspect. However, Dane has other plans. He doesn’t want Shana anywhere near there and tries to keep her away. He should know by now that Shana does what she want, when she wants. She is not a delicate flower. When Dane and Shana find out some other information like where the suspect(s) are hiding, this causes even more trouble. Will the good guys win this round or are the bad guys to far ahead in the game. There is so much action going on, I didn’t want to put the book down. I absolutely loved this book.
Beachcomber Enemy is fast-paced romantic suspense that starts with a bang and ends with you wanting more. We have been following Dane Blaise and Shana George for 10 books now and there is never a dull moment with these two. You can never keep a secret hidden for too long because it will come back to bite you, Shana. It’s good to see past characters make cameos in books every now and again. Stephanie, another good book; can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next with Dane and Shana.
Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen
4 out of 5 stars
Beachcomber Enemy is a Romantic Thriller/ suspenseful drama and it book 10 in the Beachcomber Investigations series written by Stephanie Queen. This is the second book in this series that I have read with an explosive beginning, it grabbed me right away! And the tension and surprises just kept coming. Ms. Queen did a great job in this storyline.
Dane Blaise& Shana George are private investigators and barely escape the attempt on their lives. Dane insists they need go on the run as ghosts to track down their killers. It’s the best way he knows how to protect Shana from harm.
While Shana is uneasy with the plan. Something doesn’t feel right about it’s, as if their killer knows they’re still alive and Dane & Shana are playing into his hands. Should she defy Dane’s plan?
They need to find out who is out to get them.
Dane assumes it’s an enemy from his past but is it? Can Shana forgive Dane for the secrets? Will Dane come clean to Shana about the secrets his is keeping from her?
The characters are amazing and well written the plot was great and im going to have to read the other books in this series….

I give Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10) by Stephanie Queen, 4 stars.
*This review may contain spoiler from previous books in the series,*
Dane and Shana are back and the excitement starts with a bang, literally. When their beach shack explodes, Dane knows it’s personal. It was an expert job and the perpetrator wanted them dead. But they refuse to run, they will get to the bottom of it. But when it looks like Shana is in danger, Dane swears to protect her and not let her get in the middle of it — the exact opposite of heat Shana wants to do. Can they catch who is doing this before there are fatalities? What will the consequences be for Dane and Shana’s relationship?
This book fits right in with the rest of the series. It is not a very long book, but there is much going on. There is a struggle both with stopping the bad guy and between two people who love each other. Not to mention some of the characters you have grown to love are back to. I could not guess where the book was going next, and I love that about a book.
If you like your suspense with a bit of romance thrown in, this book is for you.
Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen. This is the 10th book in the Beachcomber Series. It is a romantic thriller that will keep you in your toes waiting to see what will happen next. This book was full of excitement and drama. There was never a dull moment and I can not wait to see what this author has coming next.
Stephanie Queen, ‘Beachcomber Enemy’, book 10.
As an Hidden Gem ARC reader I received this book for free. And promised an honest review. Here it is. English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.
Rating: 4 stars (of 5).
In general: Complicated love under the threat of cruel violence.
Main characters:
– Dane Blaise.
Officer at State Police headquarters in Martha’s Vineyard near Boston. He’s very succesful and a trusted friend of the Governor. A legend in the police world.
– Shana George.
Dane’s fiancé. She’s his gorgeous, experienced and skilled team mate.
After reading and reviewing Book 1 of the Beachcomber Investigations series I recieved book 10 of the Beachcomber Series. So I missed the parts 2-9. No problem; this book 10 is a stand-alone.
As in book 1 the author, Stephanie Queen, created also in book 10 a well written plot. For me the role of the various characters in this book were more clear than in book 1.
This time Shana and Dane are confronted with an enemy from Shana’s past.
Once she put (with heavy and permanent body damage for the criminal) a cruel, violent man in jail. Now he’s prematurely free by the influence of powerful friends. And he wants revenge.
Like, after reading book 1, again I’ve questions about the credibility of the main character. Dane adores Shana. He’s a tough and experienced police officer. He knows that he and Shana are very good functioning partners who trust each other. And despite this knowledge he – thereby betraying her trust – tries to keep her out of the investigation to protect her. Why this stupid action even while he realises that this will endangers their marriage plans?
So, also in this book 10, here was for me a bit of obstruction into a complete involvement with the story.

Beachcomber Enemy is the tenth book in the Beachcomber Investigation series. It is left open to continue in the next book.
This story starts off with a bang, literally, and keeps up a good pace throughout the book. Dane really puts himself in the doghouse in this story. I mean, I get it, but also, he should have known better, lol. The decisions he makes really puts a strain on their relationship. In spite of everything, Shana shows her determination not to be pushed aside. Beachcomber Enemy kept me entertained and I read the whole thing in three hours. Action, intrigue, danger, romance, drama…great read!
Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller is book 10 in the Beachcomber Investigations by Stephanie Queen. It was definitely a thrill to read this suspenseful drama.
Dane and Shana are in danger and have to tread carefully to try to solve the latest mystery. This story was never lacking in energy, excitement or drama. Intensity was high through much of the story and anticipation had me strung tight and I was constantly in awe. I love escaping into something as entertaining as this series. This author seems to always surprise and impress me. 4 stars.
Beachcomber Enemy is book ten of the Beachcomber Investigations series by Stephanie Queen. These books should be read in order so you can see how the relationship develops between the characters. This book is faced paced similar to the other books in the series. The tension and drama keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I enjoy following these characters and the different cases they end up investigating. I love how the characters have developed through the series. There is always mystery and you can’t wait to find out what happens next. Definitely worth a read!!
Beachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen
Beachcomber Investigations Series
Book 10
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
This book is a perfect additions to the Beachcomber investigations series. This book has a little of everything you could want in a story, action, suspense and romance.
Dane and Shana are a fantastic couple. I love how fiercely protective Dane is of her, and it shows how much he loves her. When there is an attempt on their lives they work together to see if they can find the culprit. It seems Dane may not actually be the one in danger, it could be Shana? There are romantic scenes, heart skipping action scenes, one in which lands one character hurt and a friend they must rescue. I will say no more, read on to find out what happens and to whom.
I highly recommend this book, but more importantly the complete series. You can read this as a standalone but I would recommend starting from book 1, you will not regret it.
