The more things change; the more they stay the same…After all these years, Jack Perry is still the same: tall, gorgeous, rugged, and protective. I can’t resist his boyish grin and sexy, little wink. Jack still only sees me as his cute, quirky friend who creates temptations in the kitchen. But now that he’s back in town to help save his family’s business, I’m determined to show him a lot has … lot has changed since high school. I plan to tempt him with more than just my sugary delights. He may only be here for a short while, yet it’s time he saw how grown up I really am. It won’t be long until Jack Perry finally sees the truth: he wants nothing more than to BE WITH ME.

This is book 2 of the Eastern Shore Series and I loved this even more than book 1. This series can be read as a stand alone, but honestly, I think you need to read book 1 before reading book 2. It really is worth the time. The support characters in book 2 are the same as the characters in book 1. I can not wait to read more of this series.
This is written as a 3rd person, single pov. Like in book 1, I would have loved to have seen this as a multi pov, but still it was really good.
Strong story line. Great characters. Awesome description to detail. Engaging dialogue. All in all, a great read.

He was there when she was bullied and now she is all grown up. He still sees her as the girl he helped at school. She is determined to make him see her as who she is. Will she get him? How will she go about it? See how she does

I could not or this book down. I enjoyed all the twists and turns this book took. And it was steamy in the right places!!!
This was number two in the series and was a cute, easy read friends to lovers romance. It was a fun, quick read, that was pretty formulaic and had no major surprises. Sometimes easy reading is what you need. This is the story of Jack and Samantha, who have known each other since high school when Jack would stand up for Samantha against the bullies. He moved away to be a firefighter but has now moved back temporarily to help his dad at the marina. Samantha has a troubled relationship with her family and finds solace in her baking and with her friends. Jack and Samantha know that there is something special between them, but with Samantha’s fear that everyone leaves her and Jack’s trust issues, there is a lot to overcome.
This was a really sweet read with a little mystery thrown in. The characters are well developed and engaging and the plot was easy to follow. I would also consider this to be a second chance romance for Jack and Sam. This was my first book by this author and It will not be my last.

I really enjoyed this one! Ms. Baker is cute, sweet, fun and witty. The characters were likable and the plot flowed. This was a fun and easy read. I would suggest reading Ms. Lawyer before this one just so you can enjoy it to it’s fullest.
This book was intensely lovely. It was a wonderful journey this couple went on. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
I liked this romance. Part sweet, part cute and all fun, this book was very enjoyable. I liked the chemistry between Samantha and Jack. This friends-to-lovers story offered plenty of push-pull as Sam works overtime to get to Jack to see her as more than someone that needs to be rescued.
Sam and Jack have known each other their whole lives. Jack is always there for Sam when she needs him. She is wanting him to see her as an adult not someone who needs rescued.

Samantha was the baker at a bakery that was now being run by the owner’s son. He was very much a jerk. She had been friends with Jack forever but they had never dated. Things progressed a little slow but they finally admitted their feelings for each other.. Justin (the boss’s son) was up to hijinks – it was just hard to catch him. This story had good characters that I really enoyed reading about. I hope there are more books in the series

A sweet and steamy romance with engaging characters and an interesting premise. Some of the writing was a bit heavy-handed for my taste. I didn’t always like the heroine.
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. This book (and the All I want series) is a MUST read.
The book is a quick easy read and entertaining
3 1/2 Stars
I give this book 3 1/2 stars. I struggled with what I would say about this book. On one hand it’s a great coming into her own story. On the other he is not a great man for her, which doesn’t make this a romance in my book. I just didn’t feel their relationship. It seemed to be thrown in, with some sex, so that the author could say this was a romance.
This book was extremely long when it didn’t have to be. The main character, female, was the weakest character I have ever read about. All other characters were strong and more interesting. The book was a waste of my time.
You will root for Samantha and Jack to act on their love but obstacles seem to keep them apart! He sails! She bakes! He is a firefighter who eats loads of sweets! She satisfies his cravings. This sexy romance is also a “who done it” so you get two genres for the price of one.
I could not finish this book. The heroine had no backbone to the point of being rather pathetic. Her parents were far from nurturing, but this does not justify her complete lack of self worth. For me it was unrealistic, but maybe someone else can relate.
Boring
I just didn’t like the fact that the “heroine” had no spine. She needed to take care of herself. People treat you the way you allow them to treat you.
Predictable.
