For years, I had a plan. I’d dissected every little detail, gone over everything that could’ve possibly gone wrong. One thing I didn’t anticipate, was her and the permanent wicked gleam in her eye.Anastasia Exley was so much more than I expected. One thing I knew for certain was that she was all that I wanted. I didn’t care if she felt the same way. I knew I had to have her from the moment I laid … moment I laid eyes on her and I would’ve done whatever it took to have her.
And, it worked. She was mine. Or maybe, it was the other way around and I was hers. She had a hold over me, one that I hadn’t expected. Our bond was something that I never imagined could be real. The more time we spent together the closer we grew, the more unattainable my desire for her became.
I thought the hard part was over, I thought we were ready for our happily ever after. Obviously, I was wrong. After her disappearing act, I knew I wouldn’t stop until I found her, I would get her back – one way or another. When I did, someone would have some explaining to do.
I will not back down.
I will find her.
I will not lose my happily ever after.

Wow, what a fitting end to this duo so far. I love their relationship. This book was hot, passionate and action-packed. What a rollercoaster ride.
I was sooooo excited for this book, and it did not disappoint !! I loved Be My Queen just as much as Be Mine, King!! They are both so amazing with an awesome story !! If you have gotten this far and haven’t read the first book, go grab it and read it ASAP !! Such an awesome conclusion !! Love love love !!
Be My Queen is book two in The Crown Duet from Chelsea McDonald. She picks up right where she left us hanging in book one.
Anastasia disappears at the end of book one and we’re left wondering what really happen. Ana grew up in the world of arranged marriages and women being possessions. Now that she’s free she’s out to get the answers she needs in order to move on. But what path will she choose? She really finds herself in book two and makes me fall in love with her as a character even more..
I love Nikaloi even more after Be My Queen. He loves Ana so hard it’s absolutely amazing. His love just makes me swoon and need all of him I can get. He loves her enough to let her be who she is. He didn’t turn her into someone she’s not.
Chelsea McDonald delivered an addicting, captivating, well written book that had me turning page after page. The twists had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next.
I just love McDonald’s writing style and the way she brings her characters to life.
The Crown Duet is a must read duet! I can’t wait to see what she brings us with the rest of the King brothers. I NEED all of their stories!!!
Oooooh gosh guys! My heart! It’s so full of the feels I’m going to combust. I adored this book soooo much I even felt a little sad when it was all over but what a stunning journey you are taken on.
Anyone that knows me knows I am I massive lover of Mafia Romance, I indulge in this trope waaaay to much, with that being said I cannot wait to own these on paperback as well so they can look super pretty on my bookcase!
From the beginning you are transported back to where things left off at the end of Be Mine, King so thankfully you have one question answered relatively quickly but don’t get too excited because like any fabulous author such as Chelsea they soon have you asking more questions, followed with some awesome twists and turns.
I can only pray (and maybe a little pleading) that we get more books, I really really want the brothers to have their own stories and HEA. I may have a favourite brother that I’m more invested in than the others but that’s my little secret! Also means I don’t have to leave their world yet… *happy dance*
I couldn’t recommend this book more if I tried… It is simply fantastic! I love the dark elements, the pure devotion between not only Ana and Nikaloi, but with the family unit. The way Nikolai allows Ana to find herself even though it goes against every fibre of his being. Just guys… This book is AMAZING! Now do me a favour and go Immerse yourself into this world and enjoy a slow burn with some attitude.
The second half of the crown duet which cannot be read as a standalone. You must read Be Mine, King first. I have been waiting for this book since the moment I finished Be Mine, King.
Nikolai and Anastasia’s story was never going to be easy giving their very unconventional start and it only proved to become more difficult when she disappeared at the end of the first book when things were just getting good with them. This story starts up right where Be Mine, King finished and it didn’t leave us waiting for long.
I’m excited to read any upcoming stories set in the same world. Maybe the brothers can have their own books.
I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.
Be My Queen is the second book in The Crown Duet. It should not be read without reading the first book. This book ended the duet perfectly, it’s worth the read.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing duet and continues straight on from when #1, and questions are answered. Ana has grown into a strong and independent woman and is so much more than the girl who was kidnapped, and she is on a mission for answers. When all Nikolai want to do is protect and keep Ana safe, I loved how he waited patiently in the background ready to step in when / if required. This is a beautifully written story which is intense and dark and with twists, suspense, emotion, and love. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.
Oh my! I thought Book 1 of this duet had all the feels, but I was so wrong. Be My Queen has all the feels, the good and the bad. Secrets are revealed. Sacrifices are made. Revenge is dealt. And true love is found.
Ana is a brave women with a goal in mind and she will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of it all. The lies, secrets betrayal…everything. Nik is a possessiveness protective alpha male, that will stop at nothing to be sure Ana stays safe among the way. These two are absolutely perfect for each other. The ending couldn’t have been more fabulous.
I hope to see more of Ana, Nik and Nik’s brothers in the future.
This book is the second book is this series The Crown Duet #2 and this mafia duet book is a real must read that I highly recommend. But if you haven’t read the first book I recommend that you read that one first so you know exactly who and why everyone is how they are and so you can easily follow where the story is up to. The love, suspense, twists and turns will keep you gripped from the start.
Book #1 Be Mine, King
Book #2 Be My Queen
This book picks right up where the first book has left of and after reading book one in this series I couldn’t wait to see how this book carried on. From the beginning especially after how the first book ended I couldn’t wait to jump right back into Nikaloi and Ana’s world and the incredible journey that these two have been on. This story really flows and completely compliments the first book perfectly and I couldn’t put it down and neither will you.
Nikaloi loves her so hard that he always knew that she would be his and he is so amazing with this women that you cant help but love him.
Ana is so beautiful and so strong and I just loved how her and Nikaloi are together and how he let her be her. We really get to see her and how she really comes into herself more than ever to be the queen and the bond they have together is so intense and so strong that you really cant take your eyes of of them both. I loved them in the first book and I loved them more in this story if that’s possible.
I just love this authors writing style and the way that she writes her characters is awesome and to see the love and the journey that these two characters go on is beautiful and you will feel every single minute of there story. The connection they have and the chemistry is so powerful and I love the family too. I just love the brothers too and she makes you totally love them all.
This book has some awesome twists, turns and shockers that you wont see coming and this book also has some dark moments that will have you on the edge of your seat but this installment in the series is awesome and the story line in both books was great.
This book in this series is fabulous and this author has written it great, I cant wait to see more of her work in the future because I really enjoyed these books and so will you.
I loved this book! It was the perfect ending from the first book. Anastasia and Nikolai has a rough start to there relationship but when he finally thinks they are in a good place she disappears in the middle of the night. He trusts her but he doesn’t know how to protect her from so far away.
“Trust me, and you’ll be protecting me. I will come home to you.” I pleaded with him. It was the truth, if only he knew that. After a beat and with a final resigned sigh, he gave a slight nod of his head.
I love mafia books and this one does not disappoint.
I have received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
I have been waiting for this book since the moment I finished Be Mine, King. I dived right into the conclusion to Ana and Nik’s story and I loved every single moment of it.
If you haven’t read the first book, read that one first. If you have read it, Be My Queen picks up right where things were left and those burning questions were quickly answered, however, more questions came up. The chemistry between Ana and Nik continued to burn. I can’t get enough of these two. I love everything about their relationship. The trust they both had to put into each other throughout this book, even if was especially difficult for Nik.
This story completely sucks you in the from the very start. Once I started I knew I wouldn’t be able to put it down until I was finished reading. This book, along with the first one will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I truly hope that this isn’t the last we will see of Ana and Nik, but also Nik’s brothers, because they all deserve a story, even Finch. The Crown Duet is a MUST READ for anyone who loves Mafia romances.
5 stars for the conclusion of Niko and Ana’s story!!! Niko the ever protective Alpha Male and Ana who became such a BadA** that I loved her even more for taking on this mission on her own and getting Niko to trust her! Thwarting the plans of the Bellucci and doing what it took to stop their plans to kill her. Ana was made to run a family. Getting her actual family to except her back after her being gone for so long.
Chelsea did an amazing job!!!

h: Anastasia
H: Nikolai
(Dual POVs)
This plot unfortunately did not work for me. A major reason why Anastasia left Nikolai was so that she could infiltrate her biological parents’ house to try to get revenge on the person who ordered her kidnapping as a child as well as get answers as to why. If Nikolai can figure out who her biological parents are after being kidnapped as a child, I’m sure he could’ve figured out who was behind the kidnapping. If Anastasia would’ve went to Nikolai to ask him for help in getting revenge, it would’ve taken him two days to confirm the identity of who was behind her kidnapping and another day to plan an attack. I’m not saying Ana should’ve solely relied on Nikolai for her revenge, but I am saying that sometimes a problem is just too big for one person, and it’s okay to ask for help. But if things went this route, there wouldn’t have been much of a book…
Another reason she fled was that she received a threatening letter to stay away from the King’s, otherwise they were going to kill her. I think I would want to stay with my man, where he could at least try to protect me, knowing there’s a threat against me.
Favorite quote:
”And Ana… if you marry that asshole I’ll be back here before the ink dries, to kill him.” -Nikolai
This was a nice conclusion to the duet. Ana slowly came into her own and showed everyone that she could handle herself. The only issue I had was the conclusion of who and why she was kidnapped as a child was a little anticlimactic.
Be My Queen by Chelsea McDonald is a mafia romance and is the second book in The Crown Duet Series.
This is the first series of Chelsea’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed Nikolai and Anastasia story.
I wish there would have been a little more to the epilogue portion of the story. You get your Happily Ever After but I felt like the end of the story was rushed.
Chelsea did make a note that she may do a spin-off series which I think would be amazing. I love Nikolai’s brothers!
I would recommend this series if you like Mafia Romances or Romantic Suspense.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This is the concluding part of a duet and what an ending it is
At the end of Be Mine, King. Ana had disappeared and we were left wondering if she’d been kidnapped, or if she’d ran away
Well we get the answers and more in this book. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes and wondering what will happen next.
And all the time hoping that Nikolai and Ana can salvage their relationship
Let’s just say that you won’t want to put this book down until you’ve reached it’s conclusion
I’d definitely recommend this book and the duet series as one to add to your TBR list
Nickolai wakes up to the woman he loves being gone. How far will he go to find her? Anastasia is on a mission to find out the secrets people are keeping from her. When she finds out truth, what will she do with information? Will they find their way back to each other?
