Be My Brayshaw has most definitely earned it’s spot in my TOP 2020 READS!!!!!
Captain & Victoria’s story was absolutely phenomenal!! Enchanting, heartbreaking and unpredictable!
Every single aspect of their entire book has been infused into my heart, mind & soul; never to be forgotten. I knew Meagan would rock our world with this story but I was truly not prepared for everything that took place within these pages. The emotions that took my heart by storm while reading Be My Brayshaw and the pressure left in my chest long after I finished….believe me when I tell you that you are going to fall deep in love with all that is waiting for you inside of Be My Brayshaw.
Captain Brayshaw is one of those guys who has been burned by love and he won’t allow it to happen again. Keeping his heart & family closed off to anyone except for his brothers & Raven until this feisty blonde comes along and makes him rethink things. Victoria, WOW!! I didn’t even see her coming! Don’t get me wrong…I’ve loved her as a character since the beginning. Then seeing the path that Meagan was taking Victoria down…I knew that we hadn’t even begun to see how truly important this girl was. Now having read Be My Brayshaw; I can say that she is everything you’d ever wish for a guy like Captain to have. Victoria has enough secrets to fill up Cap’s journal a dozen times over but you’ll never meet a more humble and selfless character. Her determination to have what she wants more than anything else in the world yet refusing to take even the smallest thing from people she loves is just one small part of what is going to make you fall in love with her. Even when he wants to hate her he can’t help but defend the girl he that he takes from over and over yet refuses to give himself to. My heart couldn’t handle these two at times. From the brokenness that lives within them both to the healing that they can only provide for each other.
What I love most is that throughout all of this amazing story Meagan never once diminished her other heroine in this series while giving us Victoria & Cap’s story. I love that she can give us pieces of Raven, Big Man & Royce while remaining true to the Victoria & Captain and what THEIR story entails. Meagan Brandy writes bold, courageous and independent heroines who truly understand the meaning of supporting another female and help empower others; it’s amazing to see that type of person come to life inside of a fictional character. These fierce loyal heroines that she writes would go to the ends of the earth for the people they love time and time again expecting nothing in return. Raven and Big Man….what’s coming soon for them….GAH!!! I can’t even freaking wait! Royce, let me tell you what…you only wish your uncle was that cool! Sweet little Zoey; she will never want for anything in her life because these three guys and these two ladies are going to do EVERYTHING for her and her bestest friend. I really can’t wait to see if Royce’s lady falls for Royce or his family first! Because they are legit #familygoals
Dare I say that Be My Brayshaw is my favorite out of the series….Do you know why it’s so hard to choose? It’s because Meagan meets the standard we set for her and exceeds it time and time again with these characters and this series! Just like one brother is not above the other two….I truly feel one of their story’s can not be above another because they are written to fit together so perfectly just like those Brayshaw boys! Meagan Brandy never fails to acquire my complete and undivided attention with this world! It takes a very talented author to be able to continue in a world and maintain the attention of all the people who love that world. I’ve never felt bored while reading one of her Brayshaw books, not even a single shred of boredom.
If you’ve never read any of the Brayshaw books before; I’m giving you the booklist below so you can start it now.
Brayshaw
1. Boys of Brayshaw High
2. Trouble at Brayshaw High
3. Reign of Brayshaw
**Party for Three – Royce’s short story
4. Be My Brayshaw
5 stars for Be My Brayshaw by Meagan Brandy. This is book 4 in the Brayshaw High series. I received an ARC of this book. All opinions stated are my own. Captain, OH Captain. Where do I even begin? This book is one that will stick with me . I am going to continue to think about it and what was revealed for awhile. Victoria is a lot more than I thought she was. These two together are hurt and love all rolled into this ball that is thrown into some serious situations. “I’m tired of dark corners, tired of the background. Tired of losing before I’ve even gotten to compete.” Victoria has had a rough life, but she is ready to for more. She wants the life she knows she deserves, not only that but the life she was meant to have. Her character broke my heart in many ways, but she filled those breaks with love. Captain doesn’t know how to feel about Victoria , he knows she has secrets but what they are could change alot. Can these two move past these secrets or will they stand in their way. “There is nothing you could do that could cut deep enough to make me bleed. I’m hollow, Cap. Torn apart, depleted, and re-stitched with a whole lot of nothing.” We learn alot in this book and not all of it is good. This book was a journey with all the twists and turns. Just like the other books in the Brayshaw series we get secrets, drama, suspense, protective men, and some steamy scenes. I laughed and I even shed some tears. There is one line in this book that fits not only this book but this series to a tee, “Everyone pays when they piss off a Brayshaw. Cross one,Cross All.” Be ready because this book is one epic ride. I can not wait for Royce’s book.
I don’t know if I want to take a cold shower or call a therapist. Be My Brayshaw, stole the place of my favorite Brayshaw in a way that only Brayshaw men can.
I started this book and thought I would read half today and finish it tomorrow. That didn’t happen, I couldn’t stop until the very last page because this story, these characters are insanely addictive.
Captain and Victoria had an intense connection and I felt that on every page. The feels didn’t hit me on a surface level, I felt these things bone deep. Swooning and butterflies are surface level, the feels in this had me holding my breath as I read, lumps in my throat and tightness in my chest.
Top read of 2020 and on my all-time favorites list
I was so pumped for Captain’s book and boy, he didn’t disappoint!
Be My Brayshaw was everything! Meagan Brandy has written Captain and Victoria’s story perfectly!
Be My Brayshaw is full of grittiness, secrets and steam! I throughly enjoyed reading Victoria & Captain, couldn’t put the book down, but found myself intrigued more and more with Royce. And man am I dying to get my hands on his book!!
If you loved Raven & Maddoc then you’ll no doubt fall in love with Captain & Victoria! Be My Brayshaw is a Must Read!
Brayshaw is back and oh how I missed thee lol!!!! I’ve been waiting very impatiently for Captain and Victoria’s story and certainly was not disappointed. I really liked Victoria in the previous books because her loyalty ran deep but was also hard to get but this story I LOVED her! She was strong, fierce and didn’t cower down. Captain I have to admit was a bit different then I thought he’d be but his scars run deep and none of these boys trust easily so I get his actions at times but Victoria was so patient and so loving, she’s exactly what Captain needs even though he doesn’t realize it. And Zoey is still a shining star and loved having more of her in this book! Now I just need to wait for my future baby daddies book, Royce lol!!
This is one of my anticipated read of 2020. I have been drawn into the world of Brayshaw of all the players. Maddoc, Raven, Captain, and Royce. All the twists and turns that Meagan Brandy so creates is mind-blowing. I was ewing and awing during this entire book. Mrs. Brandy doesn’t disappoint yet again with this Angsty read. I never rooted for a heroine so much. I swooned for Victoria so much! The loyalty, bravery, cunningness, self survival out matches Raven, yes I dare say it. As of Captain Brayshaw, he has to think things through and see things with his own eyes to believe it. But, somethings are out of Captain’s logic of a certain blonde that hurt him, yet he wants to believe in their good. But, are they really that good. I wanted to take my time reading this book, but after mid way, I couldn’t put this book down and now I’m suffering for it.
The brothers are back and loyal they are, Raven is there to help guide them to see clearly, along with Miss Maybell and Rolland. Now, a new Brayshaw girl enters their world, can Victoria prove her loyalty, earn their trust? Also, the sweetest little girl will capture your heart ZoZo aka Zoey. After book 3, Zoey who is Captain long lost daughter is found. But, secrets are to be revealed and who to be trusted? Not everything is so black and white. I loved Victoria’s strength in all of this and Captain’s struggles to make everything make sense. Please trust me, if you love angst, strong heroine’s that will make the hero drop to his knees, you will love the continuing story of Brayshaw, Captain, and Victoria’s story. (side note: I can’t wait for Royce’s, you bad boy)
Oh Captain! This angst-filled ride is everything you have come to love and expect from the Brayshaw Family. The secrets and lies will tear their world apart. Only the truth will set them free.
Captain has only a few things in his life that really matter; his daughter, his brothers and Raven. He will do anything to protect them. He’s supposed to be the voice of reason amongst his family. The one with the level head who thinks things through. There’s an interloper, at least that’s how Cap sees her. Raven’s sister or not, he doesn’t trust her. He’s quick to judgment when it comes to her and she gets his temper simmering with little effort. He may want her, but as attracted as he is to her, he doesn’t want her near his daughter.
Victoria has secrets. So many secrets. No one really knows her or her past. She is tough but self-sacrificing to a fault. She has the need to protect those she considers family even when they consider her the enemy. She will have to fight for her rightful place.
This story is packed with emotion and sizzling heat. An enemies to lovers, new adult romance, that will have you questioning everything. Captain was passionate with is feelings for Victoria. He straddled that line between love and hate more than once. His love for his daughter often clouded his judgment because nothing was going to hurt her or take her away from him. He wanted to give her a family that loved her. He was torn and you could feel his anguish as he made a choice that he thought was best. Wanting to believe something, doesn’t make it true. The lessons will be hard learned. Hearts will be broken and blood will be shed. In the end, family will prevail.
The author continues to bring us our Boys and make us love them even more. You’ll get to be a part of their family and watch it evolve as they add to their circle. The angst level is high, so hang on because it will be worth it. I always need more…so bring on Royce!
4 Family runs deeper than blood STARS
The tension between Cap and Victoria at the beginning of Be My Brayshaw was off the scale. There’s passion between them but she’s the girl he doesn’t trust and so he desperately tries to resist his feelings for her. The push and pull between them overall was brilliant and just when I thought I knew where the story was going, Meagan pulled the rug right out out from under me. I’ve loved the complex plot, the twists and turns and the bombshell revelations throughout the series, but although it’s not quite ended yet, I feel like this book answered a lot of outstanding questions and brought things together.
From what I’d seen of Victoria earlier in the series, it was difficult to get a handle on her, but the more I saw her here, and the more I learned about her as her layers were exposed, the more I loved her. Strong and steady in a quiet and unassuming, yet stubborn way, to have gone through what she did in her past and still come out fighting is as shocking as it is amazing. Once her story unfolded, I really admired her. Her love for Zoey is heartwarming and actually so touching that I felt her distress at those times when she was unable to physically connect with her. Zoey was delightful, a little sweetheart, and her innocent remarks had me in fits. A beautiful child, finally surrounded by love, I thought her character was written perfectly.
I was hugely intrigued by Captain in the previous books but I have to admit it took me a minute to connect with him here, mainly because of the way he treated Victoria. Whilst understandable, it did make me quite frustrated with him at times and I could’ve given him a good shake. Give him a reason to trust, however, and you’ll see a different side to him and I was glad that he wasn’t so stubborn that it made him blind to the truth once it came. I absolutely loved him as a father and I felt that at least with Zoey he never had to guard his heart. That was lovely to see.
I loved the interaction with the other members of the Brayshaw family too. The pride these characters have in each other, the respect, and the support they give one another is wonderful. Royce in particular is definitely up to mischief. Although his book will probably mean this series will come to an end, nevertheless I can’t wait to find out what’s going on with him. Bring it on!
Meagan Brandy has once again out did herself with Be My Brayshaw. She upped the level of heat, angst that she is known for while giving us the sense of family we have come to crave with these complex, flawed characters that she has created. Captain, is the quiet beast we have come to love; who will do anything to protect his family even if it means denying himself true happiness. Victoria, is the fiesty beauty who will finally step out of the shadows to claim what she wants her man; but first she must prove she is worthy.
The chemistry between Captain and Victoria is hot! The two of them with Zoe is just beautiful!
A highly recommended read!
Well done
Oh Captain, my Captain, I was waiting for your book for so long and finally is here! I can honestly say that this was my favorite Brayshaw book, even between this one and Reign! The author does an excellent job mixing angst, hope, love and some unexpected twists! The famous phrase: Family runs deeper than blood, never made more sense then now!
I missed Maddoc, Royce, Captain and Raven a lot, but let me tell you, Raven is a queen, but Victoria? She knows her place between them, she is determined, beautiful, so freaking strong and she fought for her place as a Brayshaw with all of her forces (and for a long time may I say). The boys were raised like Kings and they are! But there is so many things that they don’t know and none of them went through what Raven or Victoria personally had.
All of them, specially Raven and Captain own a LOT to Victoria, a lot of things in that city only happened because of her. So they all should have respected and accept her a long time ago, but we all know that it’s not the Brayshaw way of doing things.
That’s why I was kind of disappointed with Captain. I still love him till the end of the world, but he was supposed to be the inquisitive one, the one who thinks before acting, who process with reason. So when he was so influenceable towards the whole VictoriaXZoeyXMallory, specially with Mallory! I was so so disappointed with him, he even show traces of weakness. Thank to the heavens that Victoria had none of that.
Royce was a standout for me, he was supportive and lovable, more then what they could be (my point of view and I can discuss this!) and I can’t wait for his book, because will be amazing and I was shocked with some developments!
Last points: Maybell is awesome, you don’t want to be a parent in that town because you fate will be awful, I was not expecting the Mike twist and Victoria is the sovereign queen and there’s nothing she doesn’t know!
Let me start off by saying… My oh my Meagan Brandy has nailed it AGAIN!! I am so obsessed with the Brayshaw clan. I knew once I started this book I wouldn’t be able to stop. And boy was I right. I devoured this book in a matter of hours. Be My Brayshaw was everything I expected it to be and yet so much at the same time. Every page of this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt myself holding my breath with every page I turned waiting to see what was going to happen next. I could honestly rave about the raw emotions in this book all day long. Brandy spun the perfect web of heartbreak, passion and lies. And frankly I. AM. OBSESSED. Captain and Victoria broke me, only to put me back together again. They made enemies to lovers one more wild ride. Everything about them was explosive and downright HOT. I could have gotten lost in their chemistry forever. And their relationship with Zoey had me drowning in swoons!! Like seriously y’all, that little girl was so stinking cute!
Captain, Captain, Captain. I was always curious about his character the most. He wasn’t my favorite Brayshaw but something about him always drew you in. Getting his POV and seeing just how the most calculated silent Brayshaw ticked was treat. He kept you on your toes, and I liked it. But Daddy Captain I absolutely was NOT ready for. His relationship with Zoey had me melting into a puddle of absolute swoons. CONSTANTLY!
Victoria has officially won me over! I was always on the fence with her character not quite sure if I was going to like her or not. But I’ll be the first to admit she truly surprised me. Did I find her a pushover at times, sure. But I also found her strength too. Was she Raven strong, no. But she absolutely was in her own way. Victoria is one of those heroines you didn’t think you needed their story till you read it. Then you can’t imagine not having it.
*5 STARS*
Is honestly a low ball for this book. I would rate it infinite if I could. I can NOT recommend reading this series enough! With every Brayshaw book I read it only leaves me wanting more! I absolutely can NOT wait for the next installment!
Well that book was intense to say the least and i must admit i didn’t get much done if my day job i May have rushed it so i could really dive into this book and this is the fastest I’ve read in a while.
Oh Captain this is the book i have been waiting for, i love all the others but his was the one i wanted to read, i think because you could feel the tension between him and Victoria in the other books but also because of Zoey that type of character gets me all excited.
This book had all the twists and turns that you can expect form the Brayshaws but this book i felt like it really spelled out everything that had happened in the last books i felt like i could understand how everything came to together.
Victoria’s story was such a unique story and how she ended up how she did (yes I’m being vague but you don’t want spoilers) but i must admit i loved how she was strong and most the times fearless and just kept pushing Ng and pushing until people could see what she saw.
Royce still made me laugh and i still loved Maddoc’s intensity and raven being her tough old self.
This book had it all, i did what to through my kindle in a couple of parts, it was angsty, emotional and the story like was spot on and had me hanging on every word loved loved loved if you loved the first books you are going to love it has all the awesomeness of those first books
Oh My Word! Y’all! This book was Life! I knew, I just knew this book was gonna be A-may-zing! I wasn’t sure I could love another couple’s story like I loved Maddoc and Raven’s but Meagan Brandy slap blew.me.away with Be My Brayshaw.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I do have to be careful in almost everything I say about this book. Now, Captain, man it doesn’t get more deliciously sweet and swoony than him as a dad with his little girl. I literally melted y’all! Boy did Vee have a tough road ahead of her to win his affections after everything. But GAH!! What a ride this book was.
Meagan never fails to deliver an angsty, drama-filled and edge or your seat jaw-dropper, and this was definitely that. Victoria is sassy and determined when she sets her mind on something. Captain is loyal and level headed. So what happens when you put these two together? Their journey was a phenomenal one to read. Was it easy, absolutely, not. It was full of ups and downs and secrets and lies standing in their way. But that’s what made it so epically beautiful to read.
The level of frustration sometimes. GAHHH!!! I wanted to throw my kindle, SO many times. Lol
That’s when you know it is a really good book, that has everything you want.
Six stars and five smokin hot flames for Be My Brayshaw! Grab this book today and get back with the boys and girls of Brayshaw.
Gah!! Meagan Brandy did it again!! Be my Brayshaw packed a powerful punch full of combustible chemistry, fiery secrets and a bombshell betrayal that took my breath away. This story continued the amazing storyline between Captain Brayshaw and Victoria Vega and the myriad of secrets between them. This story was outright delicious and I for one never wanted it to end!
Good Lord did this story have allll the drama. It was an epic rollercoaster ride of secrets and lies and the unbreakable bonds of family and loyalty. Victoria was selfless and such an amazing character. It was fantastic being in her head and seeing where her heart and motivations were. Seeing her connection with Captain and Zoe was amazing and I for one was allll about their FIERY connection. Overall, this story had heart and heat and was a fantastic standalone story in the series. Now I can’t wait for Royce’s book! 4 stars! ~Ratula
Sorry Maddoc, you are no longer my favorite Brayshaw. Captain is!!!
Meagan Brandy is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. She took the sensitive and sexy Cap and made him go on an emotional ride to finding himself. What a ride! While Cap loves hard for those he cares about, that is a small circle. He makes you swoon with the love he shows his daughter Zoey. He lives for her. But he’s been hurt and doesn’t want to give his heart out. How could he not though when it comes to Victoria? He was so sure she was the one he could give it to until the betrayal. VicVee, Tor…..whichever nickname you want to call her, is a survivor. She’s been through so much. She’s a bit broken and damaged but she is a Brayshaw through and through. She is selfless and strong. She fights for those she loves.
Their road to a HEA is not easy. It’s a battle. It’s misunderstandings. It’s raw and intense. It is EPIC. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!!
4.5
I have loved Captain from the start of the Brayshaw series. He’s the level headed brother that keeps the other two straight. He’s the strength of their group.
But in Be My Brayshaw we get an inside look into what’s really going on in Caps head. We get to see him lose it a little bit.
This book is a bit different from the first three. It was still keep you on your toes good, but just a little bit slower paced. More focused on Captain and Victoria.
And it was needed. So much is shifting in their world. Cap is now a full time dad with finally having Zoey home full time, and dealing with his feeling for Victoria and all that comes with that. Getting to see Captain in all the ups and downs of now being a full time parent was so good! He’s so sweet with Zoey. I love Captain so much. He’s the heart of the group, and I really loved getting to see that through his view point.
I really liked Victoria. A lot more than I expected to. Not that I didn’t like her before, but it’s different getting to see things through her veiw point and finally getting to understand the reasons why she has done the things she has.
I feel like BMB was a lot more emotional than the previous books. They were emotional, but action packed, but BMB was characters driven and focused a lot on that. It was exactly what their story needed, in my opinion.
We really get to delve deep into both Captain and Victoria heads. I thoroughly enjoyed BMB and just like the others, I couldn’t put it down for anything. I always want to savor the story, but wind up devouring it instead. The mark of a great writer right there. When the story is so good you just have to keep reading.
I loved Be My Brayshaw. I think it was exactly what Captain and Victoria’s story needed.

I gotta be honest, when I started this book I thought I wasn’t going to like Victoria, but boy was I wrong. I love her. So much. I hurt for her throughout this whole book, knowing all she been through, the loneliness she felt ugh I just wanted to protect her from everyone and everything. She’s so precious, and the most selfless person there is.
I loved how they all knew she belonged with them from the very beginning, but still, she had to earn her place and their trust, and earn them she did. I was worried if the group dynamics would change because of her, but it didn’t. They just added one more important person. I feel like Vee and Rae had this perfect balance in the group, they didn’t overshadow each other, and I love that. I also loved how Rae and Royce supported her.
Another precious thing was her bond with Zoey. They were so cute together with their Eskimo kisses and butterfly hugs.
Now Cap was a dckhead, but a dckhead I love. I did understand his side of things, ok? And I loved being in his head even though it kinda hurt to see him unraveling so much. I didn’t expect him to become this level of a jerk, and tbh as much as I wanted to punch him throughout the whole book, it didn’t make me love him any less. It’s hard to when he’s the sweetest dad and did all those sweet things for Vee in the ending, he’ll spend his whole life making it up to Vee because that’s the Cap I know. And Daddy Cap was everything OMFG, I could barely handle him with Zoey! His undying love for her made my heart soar.
Zoey is literally the cutest kid ever. Her bond with everyone was beyond adorable. I love her with Royce so freaking much, but it was her bond with Maddoc that got me all emotional.
I loved to see Rae and Maddoc. I really enjoyed seeing how all those hormones were affecting Rae, and Maddoc being overprotective even though I’m surprised she didn’t kick him yet lol.
Do I even need to say that Royce is the highlight of this whole series? Well, I guess I do. I love him the most. Now that ending with him and his (lil shit) girl. I CAN’T BREATHE. I love her already, and I need their book ASAP. I DON’T SLEEP, I WAIT.
As you can see, I really loved Cap & Vee’s journey. Vee is simply the perfect girl for Captain, they’re definitely made for each other, and are perfect together. I loved everyone in this book, minus that betch you-know-who. There were a few emotional moments that made me shed a few tears, especially THAT moment with THOSE videos.
*arc provided in exchange for an honest review.
It’s here!! Oh boy I couldn’t contain my excitement waiting for this book. Captain and Victoria were everything!
I don’t want to give anything away but I cannot recommend this series enough!
There’s emotion, chemistry, twists, turns, secrets and lies all written in Meagan Brandy’s unique style that sucks you in and leaves you desperate for more. Outstanding!!
“Sleep, Beauty.” He trails his fingertips as they skim along the expensive comforter. “And when you wake up… show me who you are, so I can forget the rest.”
It feels SO good to be back in Brayshaw. I’ve missed these characters so much. Raven and the guys have been some of my favorite ever and after reading Be My Brayshaw Victoria has earned herself a spot.
I’ve always had a hard time picking a favorite between the guys, but Captain has always called to me. His silent strength and protectiveness. I’ve loved it about him since the beginning, but you see a different side of him in this book. He’s still those things but loses himself for awhile. Cap worked my emotions. He made me so angry one minute, but then I hurt for him in the next. But seeing him as a daddy was everything. EVERYTHING! Forreal, that piece of him owned me.
There were some things I would have liked to see him grovel over but ultimately I still love me some Pacman.
Victoria surprised me. She’s a force and although Raven still holds the crown for me, Victoria is not too far behind. She had secrets close to her heart, but not in the capacity you’d think and it just made me love her character more. The mystery surrounding her, the silent loyalty. She’s perfect for Cap!
Seeing Rae Rae, Big Man and Pony Boy again was amazing. The bond between all of them is one of my favorite things about this world!
Be My Brayshaw brings you back into this world, gives us the suspense we love, the heart felt moments, the unbreakable bonds, and the dropped bombs. It’s a world I’ll be sad to see end one day!
Ending this review with a couple more quotes because I love them!
”We don’t love without a little bloodshed.”
“I’m the wave, he’s the anchor, and this life is our ocean.”

5 CAPTAIN STARS!! Meagan Brandy has done it again with this series. I absolutely love series….every book has been great. Captain and Victoria will take you on one emotional rollercoaster ride….so buckle up and listen. The feels and secrets are off the charts in this book. You must read this book and series.
