More than anything in our lives, we fight.
That right there is the exactly why, when a stubborn blonde with pouty lips, and bratty little blink slid into our world I should have taken four steps back for every one she drew me forward.
And man, did she draw me forward.
I resisted, fought against us.
I caved.
But our town is a twisted place, and trouble is never far.
So I shouldn’t have been surprised when suddenly my world is split at its core, and I’m faced with an impossible decision that leads to a single, devastating outcome.
Betrayal.

You think you know, but you don’t have a clue!
This book had me speechless at parts, breathless at others. I think all of us had imagined how this book would play out. Let me just tell you you will most definitely be wrong. I felt like Meagan ripped my heart out stomped on it and very slowly sewed it back together, just to rip it back out and do it again.
I think everyone will be surprised with our girl Vic or Rora,or VicVee. Girl has a lot of nicknames. Lol. But I found myself totally awestruck of our girl Victoria. Might even have a slight girl crush on her ;). We finally get her to know the real Vic and find out how she came into this world of Brayshaw.
Captain is all we thought he was and more. I did find myself not liking him so much a couple times through this book. But it all comes down to him protecting his little girl. Zoey is his life and would and will protect her with his life. And gawd you will fall in love with Zoey we only got small glimpses of her in previous books but you will get the full meal deal with her in this book.
I do have to say this, this book isn’t gonna be an easy read. I found myself having to pause a few times to get my head together so that I could continue on. Meagan has a way with her writing that you feel like you are right there with her characters. You feel their pain, you cry when they cry, your mad when they are mad, and you are sad when they are sad.
I fee like I could ramble on for hours with this review but I’m gonna leave you with this.
Get comfortable when you start this book because you are in for a bumpy ride and this ride will not be easy. You might want to get off of it a few times because you can’t handle it but stick with it because with all the pain comes so much happiness. It’s worth it, and so much more!
” Captain Brayshaw is mine. Period. He just doesn’t know it yet. ”
The return to Brayshaw was better than I could have ever imagined … Each book in this series has been pure magic and Be My Brayshaw was no different. This is Captain and Victoria’s story and it was uniquely theirs… full of so many emotions, angst, more secrets, twists & turns, all the slow burn&& not one but two heartbreakingly beautiful connections. Victoria surprised me in all the BEST possible ways… her silent strength, her sacrifices and her unwillingness to give up… ya’ll she will take your breath away. && Captain oh sweet Cap.. as ruthless as ever… he went through it in this book but his evolution… their evolution.. just wow! This story/their story was just so emotional… I wasn’t ready for these two… not even a little bit
Real talk… Every single word in the Brayshaw series is so important.. every tiny detail matters… starting on page one your instantly consumed… A book world so full of strength, unbreakable bonds of friendship and family, unwavering loyalty, love, secrets upon secrets & all the twists and turns. An emotional roller coaster ride that you won’t ever want to get off of.. & I cannot say enough how absolutely extraordinary the Brayshaw Series is and it will forever be one of my favorites and Be My Brayshaw is most definitely one of my top reads of 2020′ SO GOOD!
Captain brayshaw
I have really enjoyed getting lost in this Brayshaw world ! Unfortunately I felt that cap and vicvee muddied the perfect waters of Brayshaw for me with the involvement of guns – which I was somewhat surprised weren’t a weapon of choice in the first three books however more surprised when they showed up in this one … I guess I thought they were more a brains and muscle type group.. anyway despite that I loved captains dedication to his daughter , and I enjoyed Victoria’s loyalty and dedication to zoey and being ‘Brayshaw’ .
Their story was a slow burn romance because .. secrets and lies .
This world this author has created is both addictive and enticing . So worth it !
As much as I loved Raven and Maddoc…. Captain and Victoria hands down won my heart! Captain was my favorite boy from the very beginning. He is caring yet bad ass. He has a heart of gold with many walls built up. Victoria is also the same way. The way she is with Zoey makes you wish she was hers. They are the perfect contrast to each other. This has to be my favorite story so far. Meagan out did herself when she wrote Captain and Victoria’s story it could not have been more perfect. You have suspense, darkness, love, danger you have everything you could want. This was a wild ride that I didn’t wanna get off . You will not be disappointed with this one! Cant wait to see what unfolds for Royce!
Captain has been my favorite Brayshaw since day 1 and his book did not disappoint. I absolutely LOVED getting to know more about Captain and Victoria. Be My Brayshaw was just as addicting, gritty, and hot as the first 3 Brayshaw books!
After reading the Brayshaw trilogy I knew I wouldn’t wait to jump into Captains story as I knew it would be a good one but I didn’t expect it to be this good!
It literally pulled every single piece of my heart at different points while reading.
Captain is the quieter one of the brothers but he’s the one with the most to lose as he his sights on getting his little girl back, so when along comes Victoria his senses aren’t sure whether she is a good or bad threat.
This story like the others is absolutely bumper packed full of shock and twists keeping you flicking those pages to find out what could possibly happen next.
The main thing that had me hooked to this book was Zoey! She is such a brilliant character and loved how she had Uncle Bro and Uncle D wrapped around that little finger of hers!
So ready to jump into Royces story next.
Fourth book in the series and if this was mentioned as a stand-alone, it definitely is NOT. Captain, Victoria and the rest of the crew were in the three previous Brayshaw books and I think the backstory is necessary before going into this one.
I liked Captain in the last three books. This one? Not so much. I get he feels betrayed by Victoria, but his comments were over the top especially when his POV makes it seem like he’s still hung up on her.
Victoria still moves into their house and tries to prove her loyalty and Captain flaunts her at school as “his.” He even goes as far as fooling around with her at home. His thoughts from his POV make it seem like he’s starting to trust her, falling for her…. then he fucks it all up and does some pretty inexcusable shit in my opinion. My stomach dropped at that scene and I was pissed. His excuse is bullshit. Fuck no…. I can’t deal with that shit.
Also, the whole scene where Captain was “looking for” Victoria was confusing as hell to me. I had so many questions and the book does NOT fucking explain that shit well enough and it doesn’t sit well with me.
I’m ready to read Royce’s story and I really hope it doesn’t fuck up the way I look at him too, like this book did Captain. Damn.
Even so, I still liked the ending but I’m still SO VERY pissed off. 2.5 and I think that’s being generous with how mad I was at this story.
Wow! This book threw me through a loop! My anxiety was through the roof to the point I was shaking! Cap really made me angry yet I understood the why. I absolutely wasn’t expecting any of this book. It blew my heart apart but definitely glued it back together just in a really screwed up way lol! I loved this book and Victoria, she was AMAZING! What she did for Captain was beyond my wildest dreams! I wish I could give more stars!
I loved this book! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Captain’s story and it wa sho much more than I could have hoped for. I loved Captain and Victoria together. The plot was so layered and full of secrets it peft my head spinning. And I loved all of the side characters that now feel like friends instead of characters. I can’t wait for more from this world.
Captain’s story is an emotional charged journey into the past. Victoria has been sitting on the sidelines and eventually, she will have to come forward with her story, her past, her hand in the events that have transpired and those that will come. Captain has issues with trust, rightfully so. Will he eventually learn to trust Victoria or will he throw away a chance at happiness.
I devoured this book all in a day! I soaked it up. I was savoring it. Lol the Brayshaw way is a bit out there but I guess it wouldn’t be an amazing rollercoaster of a story if they didnt lead their life that way to begin with. It’s crazy. It’s so much to keep up with. I still love Raven&Maddoc and I cant get enough of them. It was weird that for once Raven was so much calmer in this book, and yet still so strong willed. I love when Victoria freely spoke her truth whenever Cap blew the handle!! I loved it. I even shed some tears during this read. So much heartbreak and love. And OMG!! DamnMallory the heck. I loved that too.!!!! Lol &Mike. That was twisted and pretty sad. I was amazed how much revolved around Victoria, like FREAK YEAH!!!! It was all so awesome!!! Great ending Lovely, just lovely. I am stoked for the next (I hope Mind Blowing) Royce book!!!! Cant wait! Yayy!!
Be My Brayshaw • Book 4
@meaganbrandyauthor
*sniffles* This book had me a blubbering mess of both happy & sad tears. Shew. Captain has been a main character in the 1st three books, but this book is his story from his POV. Not only is he a deep thinker and fiercely protective, he is hot & possessive in all the right ways I loved getting inside of his head & seeing his story unfold. My mind is still blown by how complex and involved this story & characters are. Every time I thought I had figured out everything that was happening, there was a new twist that made my head spin. Meagan’s writing and her imagination are phenomenal. This series has definitely made it’s way to the top of my favorite list! Trust me, read it!!
My heart!
For some unfathomable reason, I keep coming back, letting Brandy squeeze my heart in her fists, reveling in this world she’s created.
I knew I was gonna love Captains’s story, and honestly, I might love it a little more than the first three. (Not much, but there’s just something about him that makes you love him.)
Pair that with Victoria, and the ride is bound to be wild. She’s so fierce, in ways that are both similar and completely different from Raven. Her relationship with Zoey & Captain, as well as the rest of the Brayshaw family was truly beautiful.
I adored seeing Raven & Maddoc living their HEA, & the sneak peeks at what Royce is up to.
I never want to leave this world.
This book was everything I needed but so much more. I am a ginormous fan of Meagan Brandy and also a ginormous fan of her Brayshaw High series. As a lover of Raven & Maddoc’s story, I was so excited for more from this Brayshaw crew. I have loved learning all about Raven, Maddoc, Captain, Royce, Zoey and Victoria, but really didn’t know what to expect from this book or where this book would take me. I certainly didn’t expecting it to take my heart on a journey that is for sure!
Captain gosh I love him so but at times in this book, I wanted to reach out and shake him. I know his number one is always Zoey and how wonderful is that, we can’t fault him for being an amazing Dad. However, come on dude, wake up, Victoria is everything and right in front of you. This book had me laughing (mostly thanks to Royce, that boy is funny), and crying. I gasped out loud at times due to shock and wanted to even throw my phone from anger. But the story was beautifully written. It had heart, it had pain and it had fire!!!
I’m so glad we got another glimpse into the Brayshaw world and all the amazing characters. And I am even more excited we get even more when Royce’s book comes out! Read this book! Heck please read all of Meagan’s books so she can keep writing more awesome stories for us to read!
I love these Brayshaw boys and I have never been able to choose a favorite. But Captain…oh, sweet, sweet Captain…with all his hard decisions to make, one wrong move after another, and the blonde bombshell Victoria Vega is still standing strong in her place, waiting to officially become part of the fold. There are so many twists and turns and a-ha moments that every page leaves you wanting more and more. And when we get the big reveal of what VicVee has been up to since basically birth, it’s an O-M-G moment like you wouldn’t believe. The author gave us just enough of a tease of what’s to come for Royce that you’ll be on pins and needles until his book drops. As I’ve come to expect from this author, this is a fantastic read with the most loveable broken characters and I’m anxiously ready for the next installment.
I was looking forward to Captain’s book and seen him in the role of parent. In that aspect he was dreamy. Seen him finally have Zoey in his hands and under his roof brought a smile to my face. There’s nothing more sexy than a man devoted to his children and family. He was the anchor to them all but that didn’t mean he couldn’t drown in the process.
Victoria’s story was a bit unexpected even though I new Brandy would bring some mayhem and secrets to the Brayshaw house and this new story. Victoria is definitely a fighter and she just fit into the Brayshaw world.
I was a bit furious with some of Captain’s behaviors. They didn’t match with the man in the previous books. Overall was a good read and now I’m looking forward to Royce story.
“FAMILY RUNS DEEPER THAN BLOOD.”
OMG I loved this book!! I think it was everything and more of what us readers wanted! The chemistry was there between Captain and Victoria. There was the expected and unexpected drama that comes with all things Brayshaw. I loved that Meagan incorporated more Big Man and RayRay, but my favorite was ZoZo! I absolutely can not wait for Royce’s story!
Be My Brayshaw is the fourth book in the Brayshaw series. This book is Captain and Victoria’s story. Captain has had a special place in my heart during the first three books, and I was very excited when it was time for his book. This book is told from duel points of view which is my favorite writing style. I like knowing what both characters are thinking and feeling.
I loved getting to know the back story of Victoria. She was kind of on the side lines during the first three books, and it was nice to get to know her deeper. The connection between Captain and Victoria was great as well. Captain wanted to be the protector of his daughter Zoey, and after things that happened in the first book, he wasn’t sure if Victoria should be around his daughter.
After reading this book Captain is still my favorite. He’s still the silent type that has to figure out the puzzle of what’s going on around him. Once you are in his line of site he will do anything to protect the ones he loves.
I really enjoyed this story, and can not wait for Royce’s story! It’s going to be great!
** I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Q: In a world led by loyalty and trust, a heated blade to the gut burns less than learning of a liar.
I was crazy excited for the release of Be My Brayshaw as 2019s the Boys of Brayshaw High trilogy by Meagan Brandy was absolutely a favorite read of the entire year. I couldn’t wait to dive back into the deep and complex world where nothing is what it seems, and loyalty is everything. And I’m still reeling from a powerful and consuming romance that kept me up all night long.
Q: Family runs deeper than blood.
Words all Brayshaws live and breathe by, another way of saying never trust blind or give loyalty to those who haven’t earned it.
There’s a reason Meagan Brandy is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author…and as if she needed to prove just how much she deserves those titles she delivered Be My Brayshaw, the fourth book in the Brayshaw series. This book is absolutely spectacular. It’s a dual POV, coming of age sports romance. I was addicted to this beautifully written story from the very first page as I am sure all readers have been to date.
Q: Everyone pays when they piss off a Brayshaw. Cross one, cross all.
Making assumptions can be very costly and in the world of Brayshaw, they can cost you everything. For Victoria and Cap, that seems to be all they can do as more and more questions arise in their twisted world! As Captain tries to inflict pain on Victoria, he misses out on the truth laying right in front of his eyes. And it’s almost too late when he realizes it all…but Victoria will do all she can to save the man she loves and protect the little girl who stole her heart!
Q: Captain Brayshaw is mine. Period.
He just doesn’t know it yet.
The books in the Brayshaw world are proving to be heartbreaking, steamy and angst filled. They are set in a town full of surprises and just when readers think the mysteries have been laid bare, we see that it was only just the beginning! Meagan Brandy’s created an awe inspiring, exciting world full of twists and turns you don’t want to miss! These stories will torture your soul—in the very best ways—and keep you on the edge of your seat…but they are also incredibly fulfilling and not to be missed!!!
Q: My truths will hurt some, break many, and might just lead one Brayshaw to the grave, but greed is a cunning bastard, and I’m its newest victim.
Although Be My Brayshaw is a standalone story, reading the previous books in the Brayshaw world—Boys of Brayshaw High, Trouble at Brayshaw High, and Reign of Brayshaw—are vital to understanding Captain and Victoria’s storyline. Meagan Brandy did a remarkable job of telling the readers what they needed to know without retelling the entirety of the previously released trilogy. However, it’s my personal opinion that to fully comprehend the story, one must read those before it. Besides, these suspenseful and steamy romances will leave you every bit as consumed as I was and you’ll want to read them all anyway!
Q: Captain Brayshaw. The strong, but guarded brother. Quiet and logical, fierce and loyal to his core is standing in front of me, inviting me into his entire world having no idea I’m woven deeper than he.
Oh, Captain, my Captain! 5 stars
Wow, what a journey for Captain and Victoria, and I loved every minute of it! Victoria has kept herself in the background for so long, and now she wants more. More as in Captain Brayshaw and her place in the Brayshaw family. She was ready to fight for her spot in the Brayshaw family and her spot beside Cap, and I was rooting for her all the way. She has told lies and kept secrets from Cap, and I was reading as fast as I could to find out what they were. Those secrets and lies may too big to forgive, and I was hoping through the book that he would. Any more than that would be spoilers. The tension between them kept building, and I was waiting for to break! The steam factor in this book was not as high as I usually like, but when they are together the chemistry crackles! They are more alike than they think, and that can lead to problems. But Victoria was strong and selfless, and she had my admiration. Oh, Captain, my Captain! He has my heart! But Captain struggled in this book, and his journey to find his truth was breathtaking to read. They both made choices that haunted me, and I was a sobbing mess at certain points in this book. When I finally got to the end of their journey, all the sobs, shocking truths and twists were worth every moment of my time. I loved this book and series, and I highly recommend it!
